Chapter 264: Send your Wife and Daughter

Ye Yang didn't immediately reveal himself.

Instead, he melted further into the shadows like a silent predator. His goal was to thin the enemy's numbers, to cause enough chaos that their coordinated efforts would crumble.

One by one, hidden Syndicate soldiers fell. A swift, silent strike, a muffled gasp, and another body joined the forest floor.

The third leader, Valen, sensed the escalating danger. He saw his ambushers falling like dominoes, not to a frontal assault, but to something unseen, something terrifyingly efficient.

"Fall back!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the trees. "Regroup! There's enemy in here, stay back and regroup!"

Just as the remaining Syndicate soldiers began to withdraw, a blur of motion appeared before Valen.

It was Ye Yang, his sword a silver streak in the dim light of the forest.

The attack was sudden, powerful, and aimed directly at Valen's chest. But Valen was quicker than any ordinary soldier.

He brought his own blade up, parrying the strike with a clang of steel that reverberated through the clearing.

Sparks flew as their weapons met again and again. Ye Yang's movements were fluid, unpredictable, each strike a calculated effort to find an opening.

Valen, however, was equally skilled, his defense ironclad, his counter-attacks swift and precise. Ye Yang noticed something strange about Valen's sword.

A faint, dark shimmer clung to its edge, and with each block, he felt a strange, cold energy ripple through his own blade.

It was unlike anything he had encountered before, a dark, strange power that seemed to coat Valen's attacks. It was akin to the 'Qi' he knew from his own world, but twisted, corrupted.

Valen coated his blade with this eerie power, making his attacks hit with a chilling impact, a resonance that vibrated deep within Ye Yang's bones.

For thirty intense minutes, the two warriors clashed. The forest floor around them became a whirlwind of movement, the air thick with the scent of disturbed earth and the metallic tang of clashing steel.

Both pushed their limits, unleashing flurries of blows, twisting, dodging, and striking with lethal intent. Yet, despite the ferocity of their exchange, neither managed to inflict a serious wound on the other.

Valen's dark power enhanced his defense as much as his offense, deflecting blows that would have felled any lesser man. Ye Yang, relying on his raw skill and speed, found ways to evade or lessen the impact of Valen's supernatural strikes.

During the intense duel, Ye Yang tried to access his cultivation techniques. He pushed, he focused, he searched for that familiar wellspring of inner power.

But nothing happened. His techniques, which had always been a reliable source of strength, simply wouldn't activate. He was speechless, his mind reeling.

Why aren't they working? he wondered, a flicker of panic amidst the fight. Luckily, he could still feel his cultivation base, the raw energy within him, it just wasn't responding at this moment.

Just then, a booming laugh erupted from behind Valen, cutting through the strained silence of the duel. "So, you were the one who killed all of them."

Valen broke off his attack, a grimace on his face as he turned to see the Crimson Kingdom leader, Captain Valerius, standing at the edge of the clearing, a group of his soldiers flanking him.

Valerius surveyed the carnage, then looked at Valen, completely ignoring Ye Yang, who was still standing, sword in hand. Valerius simply assumed Ye Yang was some lone survivor, a mere bystander to the brutal scene.

As Valerius spoke, two other figures emerged from the dense foliage behind Valen: the gaunt leader of the Shadow Syndicate and the sharp-featured Lyra. With his comrades now present, Valen subtly backed away from Ye Yang, creating a small distance between them.

The Crimson Kingdom leader, Captain Valerius, now focused his gaze on Ye Yang. "Huh," he scoffed, swinging his sword dismissively towards Ye Yang. "He was just a pest, who'll die sooner or later."

Ye Yang, caught completely off guard by this sudden, unexpected attack from a supposed ally, stumbled back.

The flat of Valerius's sword struck him squarely, sending him flying backward. He tumbled through the undergrowth, landing hard against a jagged rock hidden behind a thick bush. A sharp pain shot through his side.

The Syndicate leader let out a low, mocking laugh. "So, you decided to kill such a fine tool who did so much for you. Indeed, the way of the Crimson bastards."

Valerius, his face contorted in a sneer, just shrugged. "Huh, he was just a pest, who cares about him."

The second Syndicate leader, Lyra, started to speak, a faint smile playing on her lips. "You don't even know..."

But before she could finish, Valerius roared, cutting her off. "Shut up, bitch! After this battle, get ready for what is coming for you!" He then made a vulgar gesture, rubbing his crotch while his eyes lingered on Lyra. He then shifted his gaze to the Syndicate leader. "And you, you better be ready to send your wife and daughter to become part of my new harem."

"YOU!"

All three Syndicate leaders bellowed in unison; their voices filled with raw fury. The air crackled with their unleashed anger.

No more words were exchanged. The leaders of the Shadow Syndicate and the Crimson Kingdom charged at each other, their forces clashing, and the forest once again became a brutal battlefield.

Ye Yang pushed himself up, a sharp pain radiating from his back, a familiar ache he'd endured countless times before.

His eyes, cold and calculating, fixated on the chaotic melee. Six figures, the leaders of both factions, clashed in a brutal dance of steel and strange power.

Instead of intervening, or even making his presence known, Ye Yang decided to simply watch. This wasn't his fight, not yet. He needed to understand these new 'powers' he'd witnessed, and the dynamics between these warring factions.

The battle raged, a blur of motion and raw strength. The Shadow Syndicate soldiers, accustomed to stealth and surprise attacks in the dark, found themselves at a severe disadvantage in the open, blunt combat.

Their usual tactics were useless against the direct, aggressive style of the Crimson Kingdom's elite. Slowly but surely, the tide turned. The Syndicate's forces began to falter, pushed onto the back foot.

The three Syndicate leaders, despite their individual power, were eventually overwhelmed by the sheer ferocity and organized assaults of the Crimson Kingdom. With a final, desperate burst of energy, they were driven to their knees, disarmed and defeated.

A roar of triumph erupted from the Crimson Kingdom's elite soldiers, their cheers echoing through the forest.

Captain Valerius, their leader, stalked forward, his eyes gleaming with a disgusting triumph as he approached Lyra, the second Syndicate leader, who was now kneeling, her face dishevelled and defiant.

"Bitch," Valerius snarled, a lewd grin spreading across his face. "Didn't I tell you to get ready to serve me and my soldiers?"

With a sickening display of arrogance, he began to loosen his pants, his hand reaching down to expose himself as he rubbed his "dragon" against Lyra's face.
