Number One Dungeon Supplier

Chapter 2033: Extra -Portal 6

Portal 6 and the second portal that the trainees went to was exactly the same. The only difference was that the trainees had the version where it was consistently raining and filled with thunderstorms while the former was all sunny and clear.

It was to the point where the carpenters were hastily doing up multiple fishing boats from the timber they had obtained from the Portal 4 Forest Dungeon Portal.

This act of making boats and prepping for fishing had revitalised recent industries that had been killed off due to the northern invasion of the demons. This was because the Kingdom of Ress as well as the other kingdoms had their territory extended further up north. But the northernmost portion that was first invaded was a small kingdom that was well known for its fish.

The Citizens of Lyro had been fleeing ever since and they numbered the most among the refugees that had sought shelter.

Jin understood a little from the archives he read and that was also the reason why he had purposely made a Sea Dungeon Portal to allow the refugees to start working as well. Gara had to coordinate and make sure they had certain qualifications for the refugees to come in by using their own experts. One of Lyro's upbringing as well and surprisingly it was a person that Jin had interacted with, Linus.

The soldier might have been an adventurer but it was not by choice, it was due to his father's debt condition that caused them to lose their fishing capabilities. With a few lucky reunions of Linus with some of the refugees, it was easy for Linus and his fellow fishermen to gather the rest of the people who were in the fishing industry.

Thus, while most of the adventurers were still busy with Portal 5 Crystal Cave as well as the clearing of Portal 4 Forest Dungeon, the rest like the carpenters, tailors, and metal smithing were preparing the boats, fishing nets, and even spears for the catch in the deep ocean at Jin had created.

One even suggested if it was possible to build a bona fide huge trading vessel for shipping but the adventurer guild and government Dungeon Support Team were at a loss. How are they going to haul back such a vessel unless it was through telekinesis and floating magic.

But to their surprise, those who went in first found that they were already on a huge shipping vessel. Just that the masts were broken, the wood was rotting and the sails were torn. A few of the ship carpenters were already doing emergency repairs so that they would not sink the moment more people entered the dungeon portal. Your next chapter awaits on m v|l-e'm,p y r

Yet, the most delighted were the refugees. They were at first curious on why they would need fishermen when there were no inland lakes nor sea anywhere near Ress at all. As they were moving closer to the capital city, they saw this huge screen of people fighting, and next to it was a screen of an ocean with people fixing a ship.

They all missed the scene of the ocean and it was like a dream come true when those fishermen and fishing industries related refugees saw that they were going to get some fish.

"Our king said that whatever fish you haul for today, 50% of it will be given for free to the refugees. So please, do your best." Linus told a few of his old fishermen pals and their eyes were ignited with fire. A flame that they thought they had lost ages ago the moment they saw their kingdom ravaged by the demons.

"Then you better make sure there are no monsters while we are fishing, can't afford to have a giant squid coming out of nowhere to kill us." One of the old timers said and another chimed in.

"Heh, you old geezer. Rumours said that our dear boy here could kill a griffin! What's a Giant Squad to him? Look at it this way, if there's really a giant squid, we can have a huge squid BBQ party at the refugee camp!" His pal said and the rest were excited to start fishing again.

True enough when they reached the capital, they saw carpenters building small size ships and preparing fishing rods and nets but they were not up to Lyro's fishing standards. One of them even criticised the way the carpenters did it and it nearly became a fight until Linus stepped in and told his former comrades to teach rather than scold.

The rest started doing the same, improvising on whatever they had built to ensure that they were sturdy enough to catch fishes and reduce the damage done by any sea monsters. It was then Linus who understood what Gara said casually to him when he was being tasked to search for people in the refugee camp.

"They are a source of potential that could be tapped on if done right. The King might not have created this dungeon portal for this purpose but there is no denying that it is not a coincidence as well when he specifically asked us to search for Lyro citizens who could fish." Gara said and Linus believed it.

The King might have already taken into consideration that they could not just rely on monster meat to feed the people. There was a need for some responsibility taken for the refugees as much as the ministries did not wish to support them.

But if you get the refugees to work for their food, they might subsequently turn to Ress Citizens, bolstering the city with potential and work done. Not to mention, this would make them feel that they were useful rather than squatting in somebody's land and waiting for donations to come by.

If all these were part of the King's plan, they do not know what else the King had in store for them as the days go by. Gara felt extremely amused and looked forward to what the King would do especially for the bet he made with his master Mex.
