Chapter 2278: Kholomodumo: World Devourer Form VI
Adrian managed to get out safely while the Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer looked disappointed. In that short exchange, Adrian already knew that the enemy has increased awareness of him. He felt his skin tingle as the primordial beast looked at him like he is a delicacy.
"The fact that it could sense my primordial energy means it has indeed become too powerful. Thankfully, I am not the only one in this fight." Adrian muttered as Kanlaon and Peridot combined their powers.
Two large orbs of combined and chaotic elements are suddenly fired from different directions. Kanlaon fired it from above while Peridot fired it from the side. Two bombs known as Elemental Catastrophe hit the Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer. The powerful attack exploded on the head and on the side of the enemy. The explosion of both attacks was powerful, but the collision of both spells literally shook the ground.
The Elemental Catastrophe from Kanlaon is made from higher tier elements like ice, lightning and such while Peridot used the basic elements like fire and water. They did not expect that the two spells of the same category but made with different elements could create further damage. The two spells really live up to its name as catastrophes.
Even if the two powerful spells did increase the firepower, the Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer is still a large damage sponge. The enemy was barely damaged with only 5% of its health getting shaved off. Still, the sight of a severely injured and disfigured primordial beast can be seen when the smoke cleared. This injured sight did not last long though as the incredible regenerative abilities of the enemy restored its body back to normal.
"It could recover its appearance, but the damage dealt is still there." Adrian stated as the entire battlefield suddenly glowed in a golden green color.
Levin Cloud and Anastacia finally finished the spell that they chanted. They could no longer use shortcuts since the Tree of Life and Death are no longer beside them which is why it took a bit longer. The ground that lit up suddenly had grass and flowers growing on them as large pods sprouted from them. The pods split open to reveal the players that were revived from the dead.
The players that died thought that death would be the end of them, but their souls actually still lingered in the battlefield. Usually, they would have been sent to Limbo but the presence of beings that could revive those back from the dead are present in the battlefield. Levin Cloud and Anastacia lost a lot of mana reviving the entire battlefield which numbered to more than the thousands.
Seeing that the players have revived, Adrian made a move as some of them are still a bit confused. As if he was responding to the lush and powerful life energy in the area, he released his wings to spread Aether dust. Since Adrian could not use nether energy at the moment, he made use of his other form which granted him better regeneration. All beings that are touched by Adrian's aether dust is also granted his powerful regeneration.
The Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer suddenly felt that the entire area around it was filled to the brim with energy. With a loud roar, the primordial beast suddenly released its tendrils in different directions and pinned them to the ground. The vibrant and powerful energy that Levin Cloud and Peridot used to revive the players is suddenly being fed upon by the enemy. The players were not killed as the tendrils aimed to only siphon off the rich energy of life that they used on the ground.
Numerous players immediately knew what they needed to do as soon as they saw that the Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer started recovering the health that it lost. A lot of the players used their attacks to cut off the tendrils in order to sever the connection to the enemy. Almost all of them did this as the tendrils that the enemy used numbered in the thousands. Find more chapters on My Virtual Library Empire
"You need a good trim. The Great Divide!" Adrian stated as his axe suddenly became enormous and filled with terrifying energy.
With a powerful chop, Adrian created a large rift that split the ground into two and the Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer as well. Adrian did not think that he would be able to split the enemy into two, but he knew that this was not over. Still, he was successful in preventing the enemy from absorbing more of the life energy spread about. All the other extra tendrils got destroyed or ceased functioning when the primordial beast got split in half.
The Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer got split in half, but both its half were still standing perfectly. The two different parts of the enemy suddenly started creating tendrils from the halves that were cleanly split apart. The tendrils then clung to one another and pulled the two halves together. With a loud slam, the separated parts became whole again which left all of them complete with their mouths agape.
The Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer roared once more as if it was incredibly irritated at all the beings that dared get into its way. It once again slammed its large arms onto the ground which made the players panic as it might perform that large tendril slam that killed them. The players expected the same thing to happen again, but it was different this time.
Unlike before where the Primordial Beast Kholomodumo: World Devourer created large and thick tendrils; the enemy created millions of them in smaller sizes. The millions of tendrils that rose from the ground started to stretch to find victims as the enemy looked like it melted onto the ground. The form of the enemy vanished as it now looked like a large mouth attached to the ground with tendrils searching for prey around it.
"A perfect chance!" Adrian thought as he summoned the light swan as a way to fly quick.
