Hao Ren and Ye Yue used the tracking array formations to locate many people who were involved with Demon Moon. They didn't take action quickly, but they waited, silently, monitored everything without any sense of hurry.

While they were playing the long game, the enemy was reaching the edge of insanity. They had no idea who made a move, and cleaned up every single person in the network they had spread around the Iron Mountain City. It was not that Kano family and Heem family held a great say in the matters of the shadow empire, however, Iron Mountain City was the strategic location that provided the Demon Moon Empire with weapons and most significantly the information of the Liquid metal.

A young man was glaring at the crystal ball placed on the table before him and said, "Are you telling me that even after two months, none of you have found any clue about the culprit behind this? Are you all that useless? If Imperial Father found out about this, you will realize that I am not so cruel."

The other person said, "Your highness, we have tried everything even bribes are no longer working, as if the people know something about us. They are wary of strangers and the trade has also slowed down, we are having trouble engaging the customer to buy directly from us. Something is definitely going on, the two directors are embroiled in power struggle and that is all."

The young man asked, "Two directors? What happened to the third guy?"

The man replied, "Your Highness, the third director was crippled by the spirit phantom of the refining saint, Tang Sen. The young man raised his brows and asked, "Is this true?"

The person nodded, and the young man wanted to say something when he waved his hand and terminated the connection. He stored the crystal ball back inside the space ring and stepped up to walk out of his cave. He stretched his body and a young lady appeared before him. He smiled and said, "Junior Sister Kai, what are you doing here?"

The young lady smiled and said, "Senior Brother Hao, master has called you."

This guy was called Hao Longshin, he was the prime disciple of a prominent sect in the North of the Spirit Siphon realm. His master was a half-step heavenly soldier realm cultivator, and one of the strongest entities in the two combined continents. He could kill Hao Ren with a wave of his hand.

The two youngsters flew over to the highest peak in the whole region and came to stand before a small hut. They both bowed, and Hao Longshin said, "Master, the disciple is here."

An old voice sounded from inside the hut, "Shin, did you advance in your realm again?"

Hao Longshin smiled and bowed as he said, "Yes, master, I have reached the World Lord realm."

The old voice sounded once again, "Hmmm, good, it is time that you go and find an opportunity to upgrade your Chaos Sword. You will need a stronger weapon in the future. Here, take my medallion and use it to pay for the materials."

Hao Longshin nodded and thanked the man, as he asked, "Master, is there a certain place where you would like me to go?"

"No, it is your fate, go and make your own path, and don't cause trouble."

Hao Longshin chuckled and said, "Yes, master."

Hao Longshin held the token and flew away from the summit without caring about his Junior Sister who was pouting.

Fifteen days later, Hao Ren was reading the reports sent by the operatives of the shadow troops. Ye Yue was sitting beside him, strumming the strings of her guqin. She asked, "Don't you have to cultivate or practice artifact refining?"

Hao Ren shook his head and said, "I am at a bottleneck, I need to wait for a bit more. Plus, this issue needs some concentration. I cannot trust Samaira for handling this thing much. The intel is staggering and the links we have discovered are also coming to a close end. It would be soon when we need to take an action."

Ye Yue nodded and asked, "How do you intend to go about this? We have around thousand marked targets. They are playing a key role in keeping things a secret."

Hao Ren replied, "We will target all of them and kill them in one go. This will create chaos in the ranks of the Demon Moon, and they will slip."

As he said this, he sighed and Ye Yue asked, "What is it?"

The young man shook his head and said, "I have yet to find the identity of the prince and the king. They are like ghosts."

Xiao Yu came over and said, "Young Master, someone is here for you. They want to commission a sword augmentation."

Hao Ren sighed and said, "Tell them I am not interested."

Xiao Yu replied, "They offered, one million supreme spirit stones along with the material needed."

Hao Ren raised his brow and said, "Fine, collect the sword, and take half the money first, then I will augment the sword in fifteen days."

Xiao Yu nodded and went outside, just when she was about to cross the threshold, Hao Ren said, "Wait, I will go myself."

He passed her and headed to the reception hall of the mansion. His pace was neither fast, nor slow. He came to the hall, and found three people sitting on the couch, looking at the house around. They all sensed Hao Ren's arrival and they looked over before standing up.

They could see the grand master badge on Hao Ren's chest, and the latter cupped his fist as he said, "I apologize for the delay."

The three people stood up and shook their heads. Hao Ren knew one of them, and asked, "Master Klin, which wind blew you over today?"

Master Klin smiled and said, "Grandmaster Ren, I came over with Young Master Hao Longshin and his guardian, Elder Ken."

Hao Ren greeted them with cupped fist and he saw that Elder Ken was a World Overlord realm expert. Definitely stronger than him in terms of spiritual level, but if he made an effort to punch this man with all his strength then Elder Ken might explode like a watermelon.

Hao Longshin took out a sword from his space ring and was about to give it to Hao Ren, when he saw that his sword was vibrating. He was surprised and Hao Ren smiled as he said, "Is this the blade that you wish to reforge?"

Hao Longshin nodded and said, "Here."

Hao Ren took hold of the blade and nodded as he said, "Fine craftsmanship, the Thunder Hammer technique doesn't leave much room for impurities but it also dulls down the metal slightly."

He inspected the sword for a few minutes, without caring about the fact that the two men were shocked because of his previous statement. Hao Ren said, "Well, it would take a few days for me to reforge this blade, may I ask if you wish to go through complete forging or just reforging and strengthening it?"

Young Master Hao Longshin said, "As expected of Grand Master Ren, you are able to see through the sword in a glance. I will prefer that you go for complete reforge. This is a family relic, so the metal used to make this sword would be a tribute to the essence, the world is changing and so the essence of the family should change a little and become stronger as well."

Hao Ren raised his brow and asked, "It seems your family has a deep lineage, forgive me for being ignorant, Young Master Hao."

The young man chuckled and waved his hand as he said, "This sword was forged ten thousand years ago. Since then only seven people have been able to get their hands on it."

Hao Ren nodded, and began to admire the historical significance of the object in his hands, when he suddenly caught a nick on the hilt of the blade. He then looked at Hao Longshin and said, "You can find a place to reside in the city, I will keep this sword for a week and on the seventh day, you can come back to collect it."

Hao Longshin cupped his fist as he thanked Hao Ren and left with Elder Ken. Hao Ren had a skill called perception, and looking at the sword, he felt something that could not be explained with words, as soon as Elder Ken and Young Master Hao left the courtyard, he mumbled, "Eye of insight."

The information about the sword popped up in his brain and his lips curled up in a sinister smile as he caressed the blade gently and mumbled, "Good that you came to find me. It saved me so much time and effort."
