One Piece: A King's Path Anew

Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Beast? Or Worse Than a Beast?

Birka had returned to its usual tranquility. Aside from the pirate flag fluttering above Birka's walls, signifying a change in Gods, everything else remained the same.

A month had passed since Doflamingo and his crew had taken control of Birka. During this time, Birka had been peaceful and harmonious. Everyone was either recuperating from their injuries or training. However, an amusing incident had occurred concerning Doflamingo.

The day after the battle, Diamante had brought Ibes to Doflamingo, claiming she would provide the Young Master with the best possible service. That sly Diamante! He was still dead set on arranging a handmaiden for Doflamingo, insisting that he needed to relax and enjoy himself. After all, Doflamingo was a young man now, and, well, men will be men! And so, Ibes had been smoothly presented to Doflamingo.

Diamante arrived with the buxom, slender, and exquisitely beautiful Ibes in tow.

It had to be said, the world of pirates was truly overflowing with beauties. Aside from the famous ones, there were countless others who were just as captivating, merely less well-known.

"Doffy, this is Ibes. What do you think? How about letting her take care of you? After all, we're all rough guys, not exactly suited for attending to your needs," Diamante said, winking suggestively at Doflamingo.

"Diamante, you're something else. Truly my most considerate caretaker. A+ for effort," Doflamingo thought, looking at the pair.

"Ahem, well, Diamante, I would never force anyone. Ibes, if you don't want to, you don't have to stay," Doflamingo said, maintaining a perfect facade despite his inner thoughts. To ease the awkwardness, he cleared his throat before speaking.

"My God, I'm not unwilling. I came to serve you of my own volition," Ibes replied softly, perfectly understanding the unspoken implications. She understood everything you understood, and well, there was nothing to be done about what you didn't understand.

Ibes gazed at the mysterious, domineering, yet still somewhat youthful young man, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"Um, Doffy, my injuries haven't fully healed yet, so I'll be going now," Diamante said, feigning a still-recovering state and taking his leave with admirable tact.

Before departing, he didn't forget to add, "I'm entrusting our Young Master to your care, Ibes-san."

Doflamingo was speechless, unsure what to make of Diamante's parting expression. It was undeniable that any normal man would be unable to resist the beauty before him. But was Doflamingo a normal man? Of course he wouldn't be so vulgar.

"Ibes, you don't need to be so tense. Just relax," Doflamingo said.

"Yes," Ibes replied softly.

Ibes had indeed volunteered to serve Doflamingo. Partly, it was for the future of Birka's people, and partly, it was out of curiosity about the new God. As they say, when you become curious about someone, you inevitably fall for them without even realizing it. Experiencing yesterday's battle, Enel's world had suddenly been expanded. Without waiting for his injuries to fully heal he sought out Doflamingo to ask him some questions, at the same time Diamante came out from the God´s Temple and came across Enel.

"This blockhead, don't let him ruin the good things for the young master" Diamante saw Enel, then conscious and bad.

"Hey, Enel, why are you here" Diamante ask Enel first.

"Oh, it's Diamante, I'm here to find Doffy, to discuss" Enel explained. "It's a pitty, Doffy is busy, he dosn't have time to deal with you, if you have any questions i can explain them to you, after all i´ve being at his side all this years, i'm not saying that i know everything, but i'm confident that i know at least seventy or eight percent" Diamante very enthusiastic put his arm on Enel´s shoulders, telling him.

"Really, then i'm counting on you" Enel, not very used to this kind of interactions, touch his head, it will be bad to bother them, he forgot for a moment that Diamante had his arm over him.

The two of them left the temple, holding each other, and before leaving Diamante made sure to instruct the guards not to let anyone in. Very considerate, Diamante.

"Come with me," Doflamingo said, rising from his throne and striding away.

Ibes, not hesitating, followed Doflamingo.

Soon, the two arrived at a room. Yes, it was Doflamingo's bedroom.

Without a word, Doflamingo entered the room. Ibes, seeing that Doflamingo had led her to his bedroom, hesitated, unsure whether she should enter. She wasn't entirely prepared for this.

"What are you standing there for? Come in," Doflamingo said, noticing Ibes standing frozen at the doorway.

"Oh," Ibes replied, steeling her resolve and stepping inside.

"Sit," Doflamingo instructed.

"Oh, okay," Ibes said, and without any further hesitation, she began to undress, making quite a bit of noise in the process.

Doflamingo, who had turned around to retrieve some blueprints, was caught off guard by the sight of the half-undressed beauty. What's going on? A flurry of question marks filled Doflamingo's mind.

"What are you doing?" Doflamingo asked, his curiosity piqued even as he appreciated the view.

"Didn't you tell me to 'do'?" Ibes asked, tilting her head with wide, innocent eyes.

"I told you to sit, not to 'do' that."

Hearing Doflamingo's explanation, Ibes's cheeks flushed crimson with embarrassment. She hastily began to put her clothes back on.

"Don't...don't look..." Ibes said, attempting to cover herself, but only succeeding in further arousing Doflamingo's interest.

"Hmm, very beautiful," Doflamingo commented, openly assessing her as she scrambled to redress.

Hearing Doflamingo's words, Ibes's face turned even redder. A flicker of pride flashed through her heart, mingled with a touch of disappointment.

Indeed, Doflamingo was worse than a beast.

Soon, Ibes was fully clothed again. Doflamingo, however, was left wanting more.

"Ahem, well, is there anything I can do for you, my God?" Ibes asked softly, her face still flushed.

Doflamingo, snapping back to reality, said in a serious tone, "This is the blueprint for the Ark Maxim. Do you know anyone in Birka who could build it?"

Ibes took the blueprint and examined it, marveling at the wisdom and ingenuity of its creators.

"This is a massive undertaking. I'm afraid..." Ibes trailed off, her voice filled with concern.

"Don't worry. I'm entrusting it to you. Just do your best. Besides, I only need the people for now. It's not yet time to build it," Doflamingo reassured her, seeing her apprehension.

Hearing his explanation, Ibes felt a sense of relief and resolved to complete the task to the best of her ability.

After they finished speaking, they looked at each other awkwardly. Ibes was the first to break, fleeing in a flurry of embarrassment.

"Um, my God, I'll get to work then!"

Watching Ibes's hasty retreat, a faint smile played on Doflamingo's lips.

"What an interesting girl."

Ibes, her face still burning, exited the temple. This scene was witnessed by the guards, but they dared not say anything. They had, however, formed their own conclusions.

What an injustice! I, Donquixote Doflamingo, am not that kind of person! What are you all suspecting?!
