Chapter 19: Chapter 19: The Beauty of Weapon Street, Kuina's First Battle!
Leno and Kuina followed the map, entering the East District and arriving at Weapon Street.
The relaxed atmosphere shifted instantly.
Pedestrians on the street, those carrying swords, holding guns, and flaunting their muscular physiques, all had fierce, intense gazes.
A few young men leaning against the wall on the side of the street noticed the young Leno and Kuina, their eyes meeting briefly.
"We're being watched," Leno remarked with a smile.
Kuina glanced out of the corner of her eye, spotting a figure disappearing around the corner behind them.
"What should we do?" Kuina asked, not nervous, but rather excited.
This wasn't training in a dojo.
This could be a real battle.
She was looking forward to it.
"Don't worry about it; someone will make a move," Leno guessed, figuring that this group was part of the organization controlling Weapon Street.
Most likely, they were involved in petty crimes.
Since both he and Kuina were young and wearing DOSKOIPANDA's new clothes, they naturally attracted attention.
The two walked forward for a while before suddenly seeing a sexy woman running toward them, shouting for help.
Two fierce men pursued her, yelling, "Stop!"
Leno smiled slightly.
It's happening!
The woman appeared panicked.
She headed straight for Leno and Kuina.
Pedestrians along the way watched the scene as if enjoying a show, making it clear they were no strangers to such events.
Kuina, being kind-hearted, wanted to help but was held back by Leno.
"Don't meddle in others' affairs. Kindness is a virtue, but some people take advantage of it to do evil."
"So, Kuina, remember: don't abuse kindness. Being kind to bad people only hurts the victims more!"
Kuina tilted her head, thought for a moment, and responded, "Got it! I'll remember!"
When leaving Shimotsuki Village, Koushirou had told her to listen to Leno. The outside world was different from the dojo. There were both good people and bad people.
Of course, her uncle's sword had also left a deep impression on Kuina.
Even relatives could stab you in the back.
Let alone strangers?
Seeing Leno and Kuina's indifference, the beautiful woman's eyes flashed with surprise.
Young people were usually passionate.
They liked to stand up against injustice and draw their swords to help.
Especially when the victim was a beautiful woman like her—many lustful men couldn't resist showing off their chivalry.
At that moment, if she pretended to be pitiful, showed off her charm, and played coy, she could easily manipulate men.
Stealing?
She didn't bother with that!
It was too technical and lacked a sense of accomplishment.
Seeing that these "easy targets" weren't taking the bait, the woman didn't give up. She cried for help, her voice filled with panic as she ran toward Leno.
Leno's eyes twitched.
Big Sister!
I'm not thrilled about dealing with this.
Kuina, who had been hesitant just moments before, was now feeling the same frustration!
If she didn't kick this woman, it was only because of her good temper.
Leno stepped aside, causing the woman to stumble and fall between him and Kuina, landing face-first in the mud.
The two men chasing after her paused, unsure of what to do next.
"Hahaha!"
The onlookers burst into laughter after their initial shock.
"Interesting! Luwell's usual trick actually failed?"
"Luwell, didn't you claim to be the most attractive woman on the island? You just lost to a kid!"
Luwell, embarrassed, got to her feet, glaring at the laughing passers-by before turning her furious gaze to Leno and Kuina.
"Dammit!"
This was the first time she had ever been so humiliated since entering this line of work. Enraged, she shouted, "What are you waiting for? Kill them!"
Trouble was bound to happen on the street.
That's when thugs had to step in to handle things.
The two men immediately lunged at Leno and Kuina, and their hidden accomplices also rushed out from the shadows.
Leno took one look at them—they were all just lackeys. He folded his arms and said, "I'll leave it to you!"
"Okay!" Kuina responded, moving to confront the big men.
She didn't draw her sword.
First, she calmly dodged their grabs, then sent one flying with a sideways kick and struck the other's chest with the hilt of her sword.
In the blink of an eye, both were down.
She then turned to the others, dodging around them and applying all the training she had accumulated over the years.
Seeing her comrades being toyed with, Luwell fell to the ground, her red lips parted in horror as her beautiful face filled with dread.
This isn't good, I've messed with the wrong people!
She quickly backpedaled, then turned and tried to flee.
But Leno stopped her before she could get far.
"Out of my way!"
Luwell kicked up her long legs, a sharp blade popping out from the toe of her shoe. She wasn't just relying on her beauty to survive the streets.
But unfortunately for her, she wasn't as strong as the top underlings of Higuma.
In just one round, Leno had her pinned down.
"Have you heard? Luwell fell!"
"What?"
"That woman is known for picking her targets carefully and adapting to any situation. Who managed to take her down?"
"It's said she lost six million Belly before she could get away."
Glass Island.
As the news spread, those in the underworld were all fuming.
"Dammit!"
Luwell spat blood in anger.
Six million?
She was blackmailed for ten million!
A full ten million Belly!
That was her entire savings!
Boo-boo-boo...
The sound of a Den Den Mushi rang out.
Luwell picked up the receiver, hearing a heavy voice on the other end: "Luwell, is what they're saying true?"
Luwell, who had been seething with anger just moments before, now felt a chill of fear.
She forced a smile and said, "Boss, it was just a minor slip-up! I promise, it won't happen again!"
"No, I'm not talking about your slip-up. I'm talking about you being publicly defeated and humiliated in the street!"
"You know what that means?"
"It means that you, me, and our entire organization have become a laughingstock. Those who covet the East District will think their chance has come."
"You should know the rules of the street."
"When you're on the street and choose to fight, you can't afford to lose. Not only did you lose, but you also compensated the other party?"
"Luwell, you've made an unforgivable mistake!"
Luwell, trembling with fear, quickly said, "No, Boss, please forgive me! Give me another chance, I swear I'll..."
"Too late!"
The other end hung up, the Den Den Mushi returning to silence. Luwell felt like she was falling into an abyss, and then she heard gunshots outside.
