One piece: Celestial dragon - Miracle of the Void Throne

Chapter 15: Chapter XV - Absolute Justice?

Joe darted across the charred courtyard, dodging craters and splashes of magma. His Cheetah Zoan legs blurred, kicking up gravel as he zigzagged between collapsed walls.

"PLEASE! Stop stalking me, you red pervert!" Joe shouted behind him, sweat flying from his whiskers. "You won't catch me anyway, moron!"

Sakazuki, already mid-pursuit, halted.

Joe stumbled. "Huh? It worked…?"

He blinked, confused. "Why didn't I try asking him earlier?"

His lips trembled as he began to cry, comically weeping as he ran. "You Marines are such good people!" he sobbed, snorting. "Such good people!"

Then, with a sudden switch, he cackled. "Can you kill yourself, PLEASE?!"

But Sakazuki wasn't reacting to him.

His eyes were locked on the horizon.

Where Sanjuan Wolf moved.

A bead of sweat rolled down Sakazuki's face.

Sanjuan Wolf stood waist-deep in the ocean, pushing his entire body weight against the sea.

The ocean bent.

A wall of water surged forward—towering, churning, shimmering. A tsunami the size of a mountain.

Marines on the shore turned pale.

"TSUNAMI!!!"

"GRAB SOMETHING—NOW!"

The pirates who hadn't fled now screamed and rushed to their ships, abandoning battle entirely.

Sakazuki didn't flinch. He clenched his fists, magma rising from his shoulders, veins glowing like lava tubes.

He launched himself into the air, riding an eruption of molten rock straight toward the oncoming wave.

The sky boiled around him.

"NO, ENSIGN!" a voice rang out.

Vice-Admiral Nanioni blurred into view, using Geppo to intercept him mid-air. Grapping Sakazuki and sending him down by force to a safe position of the base.

"YOU ARE STILL TOO YOUNG TO DIE, BRAT!" he bellowed, slashing downward.

His sword cut through the heart of the tsunami—half the wave vanished in a blaze of force and Haki.

The remaining surge smashed into the far end of the base and a few fleeing pirate ships—crushing them like toys.

Nanioni hovered for a second… panting.

Then he turned—too late.

Sanjuan Wolf, having seen his wave halved, roared with fury.

He slapped at the sky with one titanic palm.

WHAM.

Nanioni was sent flying like a cannonball, crashing into the stone near where Sakazuki had landed moments before. An explosion of debris and dust.

A big crater was created.

His bones cracked. Blood poured from his mouth, ears, and nose.

"… fai…led…agai...n.....li.ke..al..ways" Nanioni whispered.

His blurred vision caught Sakazuki kneeling nearby.

The old vice-admiral smiled faintly.

"En…sign… con…gratu…lations… you… are… cap…tain… now."

With his last breath, he took off his Marine cap and threw it weakly.

It fluttered through the air—Sakazuki caught it.

And then—CRASH.

Sanjuan Wolf's hand came down again.

Nanioni's body was completely crushed.

High above, perched on Sanjuan Wolf's massive shoulder, Donald laughed hysterically.

"QUHAHAHA! Did you see that slap!? He went splat like a pancake!"

"Nothing like a good ol' vice-admiral pancake to brighten the day!" he chirped, flapping a mock salute from Wolf's shoulder.

He kicked his legs gleefully, waving his wings. Dancing again.

"Hey, Sleepy Joe, remind me ..... ahhh right... he is not here.... probably kicked the bucket already... double victory~"

His laughter echoed, sharp and cruel, over the battlefield.

"…BASTARD," Sakazuki whispered, clenching the cap. His arms glowed—magma exploded from his fists.

"DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" he screamed, punching upward with all his might into the behemoth's palm still resting on the base.

BOOM!

Sanjuan Wolf howled. "HOT HOT HOT! MY HAND!!"

Smoke erupted from his skin, and steam billowed. He pulled his enormous arm back, staggering into the ocean.

"YOU BUG!" he roared, retreating.

He raised both hands again, grinning through broken teeth.

"DROWN! MARINES!!!"

He slammed his fists forward.

Another tsunami.

Even larger than before.

The sea rose like judgment.

Sakazuki stood alone.

Marines had fled into the ruins. Pirates screamed as water swallowed their ships.

Sakazuki's body bled and steamed. His chest rose and fell slowly.

He stood on broken ground, Captain's cap in hand.

Facing the wave.

Alone.

His fingers clenched the fabric tighter.

Then—

"Son, help! Help!"

"Please! Please help! My Mother is assaulted by Pirates in our home!"

"What is that kid saying? Those pirates saved us from disaster, kid! Be grateful!"

"PLEASE! MY MOTHER!"

"GO AWAY, YOU BRAT!.... Be Grateful"

"Yes, yes. Be grateful!"

"Those pirates are heroes! They saved our village!"

"This unrateful lying brat! Send him away! He is destroying the mood!"

"HELPPPP!"

A scream, fragmented and distant—his mother's voice. A memory. A fire-lit night. Shadows and chaos.

He had been a child.

Now, here he was, a man—bleeding, steaming, kneeling.

He looked at the cap again.

Nanioni's voice echoed:

"FOR JUSTICE! YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN'T BACK DOWN! NEVER SURRENDER! NEVER GIVE UP!"

The tsunami loomed—closer, louder.

Sakazuki rose.

Magma cracked across his arms. It hissed out of his pores uncontrollably, blackening the stone beneath him. His jaw tightened, his shoulders trembling—not from fear, but from sheer pressure. His body wasn't fully ready for this fruit.

But his mind was.

He stared at the wall of ocean.

And whispered:

"Absolute… Justice."

.....

.....

.....

.....

Meanwhile, Joe was still running—panting and dodging as many marines and base staff as possible. He was lost in the endless corridors of the Firs Island base.

A few chore boys, scared and confused, darted past him, shouting for a better shelter.

Joe, in a panic and high-strung from battle, mistook them for regular marines—and killed them all with swift strikes.

Another group, more foolish, raised their mops like spears.

Joe snickered. "BU!"

They screamed and scattered.

"Heh… cowards~" he muttered, resuming his sprint.

Moments later, he skidded into the base kitchen, the scent of cooked meat and half-melted rations flooding his nose.

His stomach grumbled.

"Hmm… what to do, what to do…"

But his body answered for him. He began devouring everything he could find—bread, meat, stale biscuits. He opened bottles and chugged without care.

Then—he saw it.

"Ice cream!!!!"

He darted like a moth to flame or a kitty to a ball.

"Yummy!"

But just as he reached for the frozen treasure—

"ACK! PIRATE! HANDS UP!"

A marine had entered with a pistol aimed at Joe.

Joe froze. Then raised his hands.

"Okay~"

Then he ran forward—hands still raised—and killed the marine with a single rising kick.

"Dumbass~" he laughed, finally reaching for the ice cream.

Then—BOOM!

The wall burst inward. Smoke and sound filled the room.

Joe shrieked. "WHAT IS IT NOW?! I WANT MY ICE CREAM!!! CAN'T YOU GIVE ME AT LEAST A MINUTE!?!?!"

As the smoke cleared… a figure emerged.

Clad in black. Face hidden by a pale, expressionless white mask.

The masked figure murmured to himself:

"Zoan…...pirate? Arc… can't… decide. Should… you… live… or.... should.....you … die?"

And behind the masked figure now named Arc… another shape appeared.

A gecko-fish hybrid—uncamouflaging from the shadows, its hungry eyes flicking between Joe…...and the ice cream?

Joe blinked. Sweat rolled down his furry cheek as he stared at the masked figure and its strange, twitching companion.

"Who the heck are you?!" he barked, still clutching the melting ice cream in his right hand.

He flexed his claws and crouched.

Every muscle in his body screamed to lunge. To strike. To run.

But he didn't move.

His feline instincts locked him in place. He couldn't breathe.

He knew—if he attacked, he would die.

Arc, still as stone, slowly reached into his coat and retrieved a strange, metal device.

BZZZK—CRACKLE—

A voice exploded from it:

"THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!"

"YOU FUCKING MORON, WE'RE ALL FUCKING DONE ALREADY FOR FUCK'S SAKE!"

Arc tilted his head. "...Sorryyyy… I... can't… decide…"

"ARCTURUS, FUCKING HELL! IF YOU HAVE THOSE FUCKING STONES—GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE!!!"

Arc's voice was almost a whisper. "...Found… pirate…"

"THE FUCK YOU SAY? ARE YOU A FUCKING IDIOT?! YOU ATTENDED THE MISSION BRIEFING, BUCKO!!!"

Arc: "...Pirate… Zoan... user..."

"FUCKKKK. FINE. TAKE HIM TOO."

That's when Joe lunged.

Claws first, fangs wide.

He struck—

CRACK!

He flew backwards, his shoulder bone jolting.

"ARGHHH! What are you made of?! It's like hitting a diamond!!!"
