One Piece: Chopping Ace Back to Foosha Village at the Start

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Sky Island Is Real

"Ding After forty‑seven minutes of cooking, your culinary skill has improved.

Current level: Master Chef (4 610 / 5 000).

You gain 10 life points.

Total life points: 1 750."

Wayne exhaled in satisfaction.

Tonight's dish was a Whole‑Fish Feast: the baby Sea King he had filleted, simmered together with half a dozen other seafoods in a cauldron large enough for a hundred servings. Even with his skill it had taken real effort.

Lighting a cigarette, he studied the notification. Night after night he had been piling up points by cooking for the crew, and Sanji his newly minted apprentice kept kicking back extra points whenever the blond prodigy leveled up. By now the rebate was well into triple digits.

So that's the trick. Let the disciples sweat in the kitchen while the master collects the points.

Perfect.

The deck was filled with clatter and slurping. In the world of pirates a "hearty eater" was a polite way of saying bottomless pit. Some of the stronger men could down seven or eight portions without blinking, and Wayne's crew boasted more than a few of that sort.

Kuro was bent over his bowl in a contest with Butler "Mad Bull" Park a hulking Zoan user who stood even taller than Wayne. The clash of appetites crackled like invisible lightning between them.

Wayne only cared that every scrap would be gone; a cook hates waste.

Set Course: Jaya

Three days later the Apocalypse was under full sail again. The Log Pose pointed decisively toward their next destination: Mock Town on Jaya Island, the infamous "Pirate Paradise."

Wayne lounged at the bow, rod in hand, Golia beside him mimicking every motion. She kept popping candied nuts between casts and smiling dreamily at him.

A tap on her head. "Focus on the float or you will never catch"

"Bite! Big bite!" she squealed as the rod yanked forward, nearly dragging her over the rail.

Wayne grabbed the pole. Even he felt the pull. "All hands brace, this will be a monster…"

With a grunt he hauled. A fish more than two hundred meters long practically a Sea King calf hurtled skyward, shrieking.

Kuro froze mid‑push‑up, eyes saucer‑wide. "That's… that's a baby?"

If it landed, the ship would splinter.

Wayne's sword flashed obsidian.

"One‑Sword Style, Sky‑Split!"

The airborne leviathan shredded into thousands of neatly sliced chunks that splashed harmlessly around the hull.

Before he could call for the best pieces a presence surged from the deep vast, enraged, alive with killing intent. The mother.

"Hold fast. No one goes overboard," Wayne barked, haki flaring.

The Sea King kilometers long rose like a living cliff, mouth yawning to swallow ship and crew whole. Wayne's rage detonated. His will burst outward, crushing weaker minds. Two‑thirds of the crew collapsed at once; only Robin, Golia and a handful of veterans stayed conscious.

The giant beast faltered, eyes rolling white, then dove in panic and was gone.

Conqueror's Haki unlocked

Seed → Novice 1 / 10 000

Wayne let out a slow breath. "A king's aura, huh… One more step."

Mock Town

At sunset the Apocalypse eased alongside the ramshackle docks of Jaya. The mere sight of a warship built from Adam Wood made lesser pirates scatter, yet excitement still crackled in the air. Mock Town catered to the most lawless dreams on the Grand Line.

Wayne dismissed the crew to explore but kept Robin and Golia with him. After two drinks in an anonymous bar he drifted into the streets, curious to see what chaos the town could provide.

Glass shattered ahead. Shouts, then a body flew through a window and skidded across the dirt.

"Come on," Wayne said, eyes bright with mischief. "Let us take a look."

Inside, a blond newcomer lay sprawled while a tall pirate planted a boot on his chest.

"Give it up, runt." The man sneered. "I am Bellamy the Hyena, bounty fifty‑five million, Spring‑Spring man, future officer under Donquixote Doflamingo. Pirates of the new age chase money and women. Dreams are for children."

The blond spat blood. "Every pirate has dreams. Sky Island is real!"

Bellamy laughed, crowd joining in. "An island in the sky? Keep babbling and I'll bounce your skull off every wall in"

"Sky Island does exist."

The bar fell silent at the calm voice from the doorway.

Wayne stepped inside, sunlight outlining his two‑meter‑plus frame. Snow‑Walk hung at his hip; Robin and Golia flanked him. Bellamy's grin twitched.

Someone whispered, terror creeping in. "Seven Warlords… Wayne the Fool…"

Bellamy swallowed but puffed his chest. "Stay out of this, superstar. We're just having fun."

Wayne's smile never reached his eyes. "Fun? You are trampling a man's dream. That is my reverse scale."

The room's temperature seemed to drop. Even hardened cutthroats felt their knees weaken; outside glass rattled in the frames.

Robin leaned to Golia, whispering, "He only gets like this over two things: his crew… and other people's dreams."

Golia grinned, clutching Robin's hand. "So Hyena picked the wrong target."

Wayne took one step forward.

Snow‑Walk rasped free, black as night.
