The Chilly-Chilly Fruit can turn the user's body into ice, allowing them to create cold air and freeze everything around them.
The Magma-Magma Fruit enables the user to transform into magma and produce searing lava.
The Glint-Glint Fruit allows the user to become light itself, moving at the speed of light and emitting destructive laser beams.
The three Logia-type Devil Fruits placed before Arashi were undoubtedly powerful.
Consuming any of them would transform his physical composition, granting him the passive ability to become intangible and immune to all physical attacks or surprise assaults.
From a certain perspective, a Logia user's body embodies the element their fruit represents.
"Which one should I choose?" Arashi hesitated, his eyes reflecting his uncertainty.
But soon, clarity returned to him. Logia fruits were indeed powerful, offering devastating wide-range attacks.
However, for him, the ability to become intangible—an asset for others—would be a fatal flaw.
Attacks that would otherwise be deadly could become ineffective, hindering his system's ability to gain experience points.
In some ways, the elemental intangibility that defines Logia users would weaken him.
Sengoku, Garp, and Zephyr watching from the side, were intrigued.
"Which one will the kid choose?"
"The Marines went to great lengths to acquire these three powerful Logia fruits. Whichever one he picks, combined with his potential and strength, he's bound to become an Admiral in the future."
"Heh, Devil Fruits can mess with a strong person's mindset, holding back their growth. They have their advantages, but in the long run, fruit users lose out on a lot."
The three senior Marines conversed in hushed tones.
"A person's energy is finite. When you choose one path, the other disappears," Garp murmured, his eyes narrowing.
As a mentor, he was deeply invested in the growth of his disciple. If someone has immense potential, a Devil Fruit wouldn't add much to their strength.
But a Devil Fruit could make a significant difference for those with average talent. From this perspective, Devil Fruits are a double-edged sword.
At this moment, standing before the three Logia fruits, Arashi's hesitation faded, replaced by firm resolve.
"The Magma-Magma Fruit user, Sakazuki, was shattered by an old, wounded, and weakened Whitebeard."
"The Glint-Glint Fruit user, Borsalino, surrendered with his hands raised when Red-Haired Shanks, one of the Four Emperors, pointed a sword at his nose."
"The Chilly-Chilly Fruit user, Kuzan, was defeated by an aging Garp with a single Sea Floor Drop."
"It's not the fruit that makes someone strong—it's the person!"
A smirk formed on Arashi's lips as he looked up at the imposing Fleet Admiral Kong before him.
"I don't want any of these fruits!"
After one last glance at his status panel, Arashi had already begun to chart his path forward.
He was still far from maxing out his abilities in every area, far from becoming the perfect all-around fighter.
Even if he consumed one of these powerful fruits, he wasn't sure if the fruit's abilities would stay with him after death. But more importantly, Logia fruits were not the best fit for his capabilities.
"Do you have any Paramecia or Mythical Zoan fruits?" Arashi asked, pursing his lips.
Hearing this, Kong chuckled, eyeing the young Marine standing before him.
"Kid, do you think this is a joke?" he said, waving his hand as the boxes were closed and removed.
"Strong Paramecia and Mythical Zoan fruits are incredibly rare. Even with the resources of the World Government and the Marines, acquiring them is no easy task."
Kong smiled as he continued, "Since you're not interested in these three Logia fruits, if the headquarters manages to obtain one that suits you in the future, you'll be notified."
"Or, you could rely on your own abilities to obtain the Devil Fruit you desire," said Arashi, slightly taken aback before nodding with a smile.
After a moment of hesitation, he spoke again. "Could you help me forge a weapon?" Kong smiled, clearly interested.
"A weapon? Tell me what you need."
"A pair of gauntlets or knuckle dusters, made of Seastone," Arashi replied with a grin.
In battles, he would inevitably face Devil Fruit users, and since he hadn't yet mastered Armament Haki, Seastone would be the perfect solution.
Seastone is even more effective than Armament Haki at neutralizing the powers of Devil Fruit users.
The moment of contact would render them powerless, making it the ultimate counter against them.
"This kid is smart!" Zephyr remarked, with admiration in his eyes and a smile.
"Devil Fruit users are indeed powerful, but there are plenty of ways to counter them: seawater, Seastone, opposing elements, and so on. As long as you're strong enough, you can handle any opponent!"
"Of course! And let's not forget whose disciple he is!" Garp laughed heartily. Sengoku, standing nearby, shook his head.
He was the only one among them who had consumed a Devil Fruit, which had greatly contributed to his strength, although it also revealed his limitations in pure combat ability.
The fruit had been a helpful supplement for him, compensating for his lack of natural combat talent.
"You, like Garp, focus on pure hand-to-hand combat, right?" Kong asked. Arashi nodded.
"I see. I'll make the arrangements to have a weapon crafted that suits you," Kong nodded.
Afterward, Arashi turned to Garp, Zephyr, and Sengoku, saluted them, and left without hesitation.
The three senior Marines in the room didn't place much importance on the choice of the three Logia fruits.
What weighed more heavily on their minds was something far more serious.
"The Blood Incident involving the Celestial Dragons."
"Who could have had the audacity to commit such a bold act?"
"The World Government is in an uproar—this is an extremely serious matter for them."
"Yet, despite extensive investigation, it's still difficult to identify the culprit based on the evidence at the scene."
"This is a real headache!"
"Hahahaha, let you guys deal with this trash! It has nothing to do with me anyway," Garp said with a hint of schadenfreude, sipping his hot tea while the others looked worried.
Arashi left the Marine Headquarters building and headed straight for the Marine Academy.
He had already been informed that his courses could begin today. Rejecting the three Logia fruits had not caused him any inner turmoil.
For him, the greatest advantage lay in his ability to respawn and allocate points.
As his strength grew, it became increasingly difficult to gain points.
"Logia fruits are indeed powerful," Arashi thought,
"but if I were to choose, it would have to be the Rumble-Rumble Fruit! And even then, I'd only consume it when I reach the absolute limit of my abilities and can no longer improve any further."
The Rumble-Rumble Fruit, known as the strongest offensive Logia, was nearly perfect in its versatility and granted electromagnetic powers.
"But ideally, the best and most suitable for me would still be a Paramecia or Mythical Zoan fruit," he continued.
"Logia users usually end up getting beaten."
The best fit is a fruit that could enhance his strength without hindering his ability to respawn frequently.
A short while later, Arashi arrived at the Marine Academy.
With the rank of Rear Admiral on his shoulders, he immediately drew attention as he stepped into the academy, full of sunlight and youthful energy.
Almost all the students turned their eyes toward him, making him the center of attention.
