Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Gravely Injured, and You Give Me an Antidote?
A dark cave.
Two figures, one large and one small, huddled together.
The larger one was panting heavily.
At that moment, the smaller figure, who had been lying motionless with eyes closed, twitched slightly.
Then, suddenly, it sprang up and delivered a loud slap across the face of the larger figure beside it.
While striking, it shouted, "I have an 8 AM class! How dare you betray my wife! You actually went and cheated on her with another woman!"
*Smack!*
A crisp slap echoed through the cave.
After the slap, the smaller figure slowly opened his eyes, which had been drowsy just moments ago. Upon realizing his surroundings, his eyes widened in shock.
"Oh, what the hell! Where am I? Where did they take me? Is this still my country?!"
Vir was on the verge of a meltdown.
The last thing he remembered was accepting a big job treating a tiger and excitedly hopping into the zoo's transport van on his way to the case.
Word was, the tiger had gone overboard during mating season and ended up injuring itself.
But the moment he dozed off in the vehicle, he woke up here instead.
In his dream, he had a wife who was cheated on by a mistress, and in his rage, he had slapped the mistress.
Still dazed and confused, he suddenly heard labored breathing beside him.
He quickly turned his head.
There lay a moderately-sized reindeer, covered in visible injuries, blood slowly trickling from its mouth.
Its consciousness was fading.
As a veterinarian, Vir immediately recognized that if no one intervened, the reindeer wouldn't last more than half an hour.
But then, something struck him—this reindeer looked incredibly familiar?
Before he could get a closer look, a wave of dizziness hit him.
Memories that weren't his own flooded into his mind.
The splitting headache lasted two minutes before finally subsiding. Thankfully, he didn't die from the shock.
"Hiss! Since when did transmigrators have to go through a near-death experience?"
That's right. After absorbing the memories, Vir finally understood his situation.
He had crossed over—to the turbulent world of One Piece.
This was Drum Island, Chopper's homeland.
And the timeline? The day before Luffy and his crew would arrive.
The injured reindeer beside him?
None other than Tony Tony Chopper himself.
Chopper had come down the mountain to gather herbs for Dr. Kureha but stumbled upon an unconscious Vir. Unable to ignore someone in need, Chopper had tried to help.
However, Vir was actually being hunted down.
Three mysterious individuals were after him.
Naturally, these pursuers decided to eliminate Chopper as well.
Normally, with Chopper's strength, he could have easily handled or escaped from three ordinary humans.
But the problem was—those three weren't ordinary.
They were all Devil Fruit users.
How the hell did these three nobodies get so lucky?!
One had a Bird-Bird Fruit, slowing Chopper down.
The other two? One had the Fur-Fur Fruit, and the last was a Zoan-type Chicken-Chicken Fruit: Chicken Model.
Slowed down by the Bird-Bird Fruit user, Chopper got entangled by the Fur-Fur Fruit ability.
What followed was a brutal beatdown.
But since those three had never received proper combat training, Chopper eventually found an opening and fled.
Exhausted and severely injured, he managed to find a cave to hide in.
Due to the constant snowfall outside, his blood trail was soon buried.
But those three were still digging through the snow, following the faintest traces of blood.
Once they uncovered the buried bloodstains, it wouldn't be long before they found this place.
And then?
Both of them were dead meat.
What now…?
Chopper was strong, sure, but in this condition, escaping with Vir was impossible.
Vir, despite being a vet, had no tools to treat Chopper.
And expecting him—a complete weakling—to fight off three Devil Fruit users?
Instant death.
But damn… Chopper was a real bro.
Without him, Vir wouldn't even be here.
He'd have just died outright.
If they made it out alive, Vir swore he'd repay Chopper.
He'd make sure Chopper never had to lift a hoof again.
Hell, he'd make Chopper the first-ever 'Tenryu-deer'!
But first… they had to survive.
Just as Vir was racking his brain for an escape plan—
*Ding!*
"I'm here, baby!"
"Congratulations, host! You have activated the 'Traumatizing Miracle Doctor System'"
Host: Vir.
Abilities: The host can generate negative emotions (fear, despair, terror, etc.) in patients to earn 'Negative Points' and exchange them for items in the shop.
Bonus Effect: If a treatment traumatizes a patient, the host gains one of their abilities (Haki, Devil Fruit powers, physical attributes, etc.).
"Detected that the host's situation is a 'tiny' bit dire. Here's a starter pack!"
"Congratulations, host! You have received Antidote (Lv.99)."
Antidote (Lv.99): Instantly cures all food poisoning effects.
…?
That's it?
Vir's emotions flipped like a rollercoaster in under a minute.
First: A system?! No way! Am I hallucinating?!
Then: Hell yes! A doctor system! Healing Chopper should be easy!
Finally: Bruh. That's it?! A food poisoning cure?!
Looking at the vial in his hand, Vir was dumbfounded.
Good news: He has a system.
Bad news: The system is useless!
Sure, it was high level, but what the hell was he supposed to do with a food poisoning cure?!
At least a medical kit would've helped treat Chopper's wounds!
But this…
Who was he even supposed to use this on?!
Chopper was clearly not food poisoned!
No matter how much Vir called out, the system acted like an old grandpa pretending to be dead.
What now…?
As Vir stared at the antidote, deep in thought—
The three pursuers had arrived.
From the cave entrance, a muffled voice called out—
"Aha! Found you!"
Suddenly, a chicken head poked through the snow-blocked entrance.
Its beak was practically touching Vir's face.
The sudden appearance nearly made Vir jump out of his skin.
Facing three towering enemies, Vir felt utterly powerless.
How the hell was he supposed to fight?
"Brat, you two better come quietly!"
The chicken-headed man sneered, stepping into the cave, reaching for the injured Chopper.
Vir's heart pounded.
At this rate, they were done for.
Then—
An idea struck him like lightning.
'Food poisoning…?'
What if…
What if Devil Fruits counted as food poisoning?!
Screw it!
With no other options, Vir threw the antidote at the enemies' feet.
The vial shattered, releasing a cloud of fine powder.
The trio involuntarily inhaled it, coughing violently.
"What the hell?! A smoke bomb? You think Chicken Bro's eyes are just for show?!"
But then—
A strange sensation surged through their bodies.
