Chapter 159: Charlotte VS Chinjao

After Chinjao's domineering aura dissipated, Charlotte's crew gradually regained their composure.

Barrett retracted his Conqueror's Haki, but the satisfied smile on his face revealed his joy. Having been taught extensively by Charlotte, Barrett knew exactly what he had awakened—Conqueror's Haki, a talent found only in one in a million people. Unlike the other two forms of Haki, Conqueror's Haki couldn't be obtained through training.

This realization filled Barrett with even more pride in his talent.

Esdeath, however, wasn't as fortunate. After Chinjao's Haki was suppressed by Charlotte, her Conqueror's Haki faded almost instantly. Without the strength to sustain herself, she collapsed onto the deck, exhausted.

Charlotte, standing nearby, caught her before she hit the ground.

Looking at Esdeath in his arms, Charlotte's face was full of pride. His laughter echoed across the ship, growing louder with each passing second.

As his laughter intensified, his own Haki erupted with even greater force.

The overwhelming aura caused most of the Babao Navy, including Chinjao's crew, to collapse where they stood, foam frothing at their mouths. The sheer pressure even caused Chinjao's ship to creak and crack under the strain.

Even Chinjao's own Haki was instantly suppressed by Charlotte's immense power.

Chinjao stared in disbelief at the younger pirate standing at the bow of his ship, holding a small girl in his arms.

What kind of crew was this? On one ship, there were three people capable of wielding Conqueror's Haki.

Adding insult to injury, it was Chinjao's own efforts that had inadvertently helped Charlotte's daughter and another boy awaken their latent Haki.

Charlotte handed Esdeath over to Paul.

"Take her to the cabin and let her rest," Charlotte said calmly.

Paul nodded and carried Esdeath below deck.

Charlotte turned his attention to Chinjao and smirked.

"Hahahaha! Thank you so much, Chinjao!"

Chinjao growled in response, his face dark with fury.

"Damn you!" he spat, his Armament Haki swiftly coating his right fist.

"Eight Punches!"

A powerful shockwave shot toward the bow of Charlotte's ship.

Charlotte, however, merely smiled in disdain.

"Pathetic."

The Seven Star Sword appeared in Charlotte's hand as he swung it effortlessly.

A massive green slash burst forth, cutting through the shockwave like it was nothing.

The attack didn't stop there—it continued toward Chinjao.

Chinjao's pupils shrank in shock. He hadn't expected his attack to be neutralized so easily, let alone for the slash to continue toward him.

"Eight Punches: Headbutt!"

Chinjao leapt into the air, his conical head coated in Armament Haki, and charged at the incoming slash.

Clang!

The sound of metal striking echoed through the air as Chinjao collided with the slash, gritting his teeth to resist its power.

Charlotte watched with a calm expression as Chinjao struggled to hold his ground.

When the slash finally dissipated, Chinjao landed back on his ship with a loud thud.

His expression was serious. He had realized that he was no match for Charlotte.

Still, his pride wouldn't let him retreat so easily.

"Eight Punches: Spinning Cone Head!"

Chinjao clasped his hands together and launched himself into the air, spinning rapidly as he descended toward Charlotte.

Charlotte showed a flicker of interest at the spectacle.

The Seven Star Sword in his hand glowed with green and black Armament Haki, its aura becoming even more formidable.

As Chinjao approached, Charlotte raised the sword and pressed its tip against Chinjao's spinning head.

Chinjao's high-speed rotation came to an abrupt halt as the tip of the sword pierced through his Haki-coated head, leaving a wound.

Realizing his attack had failed, Chinjao jumped back, clutching his injured head.

When he touched the top of his cone-shaped head and felt something smooth, his heart sank.

Looking at his hand, he saw blood. The once-proud cone of his head had been broken.

Charlotte raised an eyebrow in surprise. "I guess I drilled it off."

"Damn you!" Chinjao roared in anger, his embarrassment fueling his rage.

"Is that all you've got?" Charlotte taunted, sheathing his sword temporarily.

"Don't underestimate me!" Chinjao growled, his Armament Haki flaring.

"The Secret of Eight Punches: Cone Dragon Nail!"

Chinjao launched himself into the sky, his body spinning as he ascended. Moments later, he began his rapid descent, aiming directly at Charlotte's ship.

Charlotte looked up, intrigued by the powerful technique.

A sly grin spread across his face as the Seven Star Sword crackled with lightning, its aura intensifying.

"Demon Sword Tyrant!"

Charlotte crouched slightly, gathering power, before swinging the sword upward in a devastating arc.

Clang!

The clash was deafening. Lightning and Haki collided as Charlotte's attack met Chinjao's.

The sheer force of the impact caused Charlotte's crew to stagger, many leaning forward to withstand the resulting shockwave.

All eyes were on the two combatants.

Charlotte moved with an almost playful grace, his smile unwavering. It was clear to everyone that he wasn't even using his full strength.

Chinjao, on the other hand, was struggling. Though he appeared unscathed outwardly, his internal organs were rattling from the force of the collision.

The strain became too much for Chinjao. His Armament Haki began to fade, and Charlotte noticed immediately.

Seizing the opportunity, Charlotte withdrew his sword momentarily before delivering another strike.

"Demon Slash!"

The powerful attack sliced through the air, heading straight for Chinjao.
