Chapter 144: Chapter 144: Who Dares Hurt My Daughter?

"That's a potion for triggering life potential! Stop immediately! Major Rorschach's injuries are too severe—giving him such a potion will..."

Tina struggled to stand up, shouting in distress.

"Rorschach… big brother!"

Hibari endured the excruciating pain coursing through her body, biting her lip. With Tina's support, she approached where Rorschach lay.

This time, no one stopped them.

The CP0 members pried open Rorschach's and the CP team leader's mouths, pouring the potion from a glass vial directly into them.

As the potion entered their bodies, their pallid faces visibly regained color and vitality.

Rorschach's muscles convulsed and swelled, tearing through the bandages wrapped around him. Bright red blood immediately began seeping through the torn fabric.

Meanwhile, the CP team leader, who had already turned completely white-haired from drinking two such potions, now had his middle-aged face etched with age-like wrinkles as he consumed another vial.

"Cough! Cough!"

Both men suddenly opened their eyes and began coughing violently.

"Rorschach, big brother!"

Hibari, seeing Rorschach awake, pushed past the CP0 blocking her way and rushed to his side. Tears filled her eyes as she clutched his hand.

"Hibari… I'm fine."

Noticing Hibari's disheveled state and the blood at the corner of her mouth, a flicker of icy killing intent flashed deep in Rorschach's eyes. He raised his hand to gently smooth her messy hair.

At the same time, he acknowledged Tina with a nod.

Moments earlier, he had been in a deeply unconscious state.

The severe injuries on his body were partly self-inflicted, caused by wind blades he had formed using air currents.

The rest came from his decision to drop his Haki defense and endure Dafylons' brutal attacks with his bare body.

This resulted in severe blood loss, leaving him unconscious.

Despite his best efforts to execute a flawless assault on the Rozward family, some inevitable loopholes remained.

The attackers had died, and so had the victims.

Witnesses saw Rorschach heroically stepping forward and risking his life to stop Dafylons.

However, his earlier fight with Aristo, the unusual behavior of the Rozward family, and the series of events at the auction house would surely raise questions.

Additionally, it was public knowledge—witnessed by over a hundred members of the Decarban Pirates—that Rorschach had previously defeated Dafylons. This fact would undoubtedly surface during investigations.

Given this, it was better for him to personally place himself at the center of this storm.

There was another oversight he had made earlier.

The Thunder Sphere he had placed in Dafylons' heart.

Its purpose was to boost Dafylons' power as a failsafe.

However, upon Dafylons' death, his heart and other internal organs would inevitably show signs of electrical damage—a glaring flaw.

If Rorschach claimed to have used his thunder abilities to attack Dafylons directly, it could serve as an explanation.

...

"Impressive composure. Young man, your strength is not ordinary. Spandine, do you have detailed information on him?"

Saint Gringo scrutinized Rorschach, surprised at the calmness of the young man before him.

Surrounded by dozens of CP0 agents, Rorschach showed no trace of panic.

This composed demeanor alone marked him as anything but ordinary.

"Yes, Saint Gringo!"

Spandine quickly stepped forward, casting a wary glance at Rorschach before respectfully introducing his background.

"He is a recent transfer from Branch 177 of the North Blue, attending the Navy Headquarters' new recruit training."

"Due to his outstanding performance, defeating a thousand recruits and dozens of naval officers working together, he caught the attention of high-ranking Navy officials and is being groomed as a top priority."

"Currently holding the rank of Headquarters Major, he has awakened dual-color Haki and possesses the mythical Zoan-type Mare-Mare Fruit, granting him a Qilin form."

"In terms of combat ability, he is firmly ranked first among the Navy's new generation, boasting strength rivaling that of veteran Vice Admirals."

"Moreover…"

Spandine swallowed hard, glancing again at Rorschach.

"He is only thirteen years old."

"Oh? That remarkable? Thirteen years old, yet comparable to veteran Vice Admirals? A mythical Qilin fruit user, no less."

Saint Gringo's face showed genuine astonishment as he carefully examined Rorschach once again.

"No wonder my Observation Haki senses a formidable power dormant within you, albeit currently weakened."

His gaze shifted toward the lifeless Dafylons not far away, his brow furrowing slightly.

"However, if your combat ability is so extraordinary, why were you pushed back by Dafylons, a mere Zoan user?"

"Who are you? Why should I answer you?"

Rorschach met Saint Gringo's gaze unflinchingly, showing no fear.

"This gentleman is the Commander of the Divine Knights, the great Fugalan Saint Gringo! Navy brat, watch your tone!"

Spandine scolded sharply.

"The Commander of the Divine Knights, Fugalan Saint Gringo?"

Rorschach's heart skipped a beat.

The name Fugalan belonged to the Celestial Dragon family attacked by Rocks in God Valley 32 years ago.

It appeared the World Government was taking this matter seriously, even dispatching the Commander of the Divine Knights.

If so, this elder likely doubted the notion that the attack was merely a pirate revenge incident.

....

"I..."

"...fought Dafylons while already gravely injured."

Suddenly, the CP team leader, Frisis, sitting nearby and breathing heavily, interrupted.

"Did Saint Gringo ask for your opinion, Frisis? You disgrace to CP5!"

Spandine glared fiercely at the CP leader.

"I accept my failure and the punishment of death as my responsibility," Frisis said calmly, turning to look at Rorschach's horrific injuries. "But I implore Saint Gringo to spare this young Navy officer. He truly risked his life to stop Dafylons."

"Whether he is guilty is not for you to decide. Spandine, take him aside, interrogate him thoroughly, and record every detail of the Rozward family's experience on Sabaody Archipelago."

Saint Gringo gave his orders with a commanding tone before looking back at Rorschach.

"Now, tell me how you sustained your injuries."

"Rorschach fought against Aristo earlier," Hibari interjected angrily, her fearless gaze fixed on Saint Gringo despite his lofty status. "The injuries are from that battle."

"Oh, I see. Aristo, with a bounty of 360 million berries, is indeed far stronger than his brother. So you defeated Aristo?"

Saint Gringo's Observation Haki swept the area, taking in the devastation around Red Tree 66, including the Navy base's grim state.

"Yes," Rorschach replied in a deep voice. "Aristo had a peculiar ability to extract blood from others. Although I killed him, his counterattacks left me critically injured."

"So, the Navy stationed here was annihilated by Aristo, whom you subsequently killed, sustaining injuries yourself. After that, where did you go?"

Saint Gringo's Observation Haki locked onto Rorschach, scrutinizing his every movement and emotional reaction.

"I returned to Red Tree 40 to deliver Aristo's head."

"Why didn't you pursue Dafylons after killing Aristo?"

"My comrades were battling Dafylons in Area 40. When I arrived, I defeated Dafylons and stayed to recuperate..."

"Wait!"

Saint Gringo's expression darkened suddenly, his voice cold as he interrupted.

"What did you just say?"

Rorschach's heart sank. He knew the biggest flaw in his story had just surfaced.

Indeed, Dafylons had been knocked unconscious by his punch in Red Tree 40.

That moment had been witnessed not just by Hibari and Law but also by over a hundred pirates from the Decarban Brothers.

At that time, the Rozward family hadn't yet arrived on Sabaody, and Rorschach had no intent to target the Celestial Dragons.

Thus, those earlier events couldn't be hidden.

He had to reveal them.

Hiding things will only make matters worse.

"I said my comrades were fighting Dafylons in Area 40. When I arrived, I took him down. Afterward, we rested in Area 40…"

"Bang!"

A black boot slammed into Rorschach's face, sending him flying over ten meters away and crashing heavily onto the grass.

The sudden strike caused the wounds on Rorschach's body to split open instantly, gushing fresh blood.

His nasal bone and cheek bore clear indentations from the attack.

"Big Brother Rorschach!"

Hibari screamed and ran toward him.

Saint Gringo slowly withdrew his boot, which was wrapped in dark Haki, and looked at Rorschach with a grim expression.

"You took down Dafylons, so why did he suddenly appear in Red Tree Area 66 and attack the Rozward family?"

"Why didn't you just kill him outright, as you did Aristo?"

"Navy brat, give me a reasonable explanation."

Saint Gringo unsheathed his rapier, the blade gleaming brightly, exuding sharpness and resilience.

"Cough, cough!"

Rorschach struggled to stand, pulling Hibari behind him. Blood dripped from his nose and mouth as he gasped for air.

"Aristo's strength was overwhelming, and his abilities were bizarre. I couldn't afford to hold back against him. Killing him came at a great cost."

"My comrades were gravely injured holding off Dafylons. When I arrived, I took him down."

"Afterward, I used my abilities to electrocute all the captured pirates, including Dafylons."

"But Dafylons somehow managed to temporarily enhance his physical body significantly. His escape was something my comrades and I couldn't stop. We did our best, but we never expected him to target the Rozward family afterward."

"Significant temporary enhancement of physical abilities… Frisis! Is what he says true?"

Saint Gringo turned and barked the question.

Frisis nodded. "It's true. Even during the battle, I could clearly sense Dafylons' physical form changing drastically. It was like… like the effects of a life-force overdraft potion."

"Perhaps because he's a Zoan-type user, his body could endure extreme overdrafts, causing his strength to increase exponentially. We were completely unable to stop his attack…"

"Enough!"

Saint Gringo pointed his rapier at Rorschach, who was soaked in blood.

"So, in the end, it was your failure to handle Dafylons properly that led to his escape and his audacious actions."

"Navy brat, you… are guilty."

As Saint Gringo declared this, a sudden whirlwind swept through the area.

The gusts brushed against Rorschach, slicing open his skin and muscle with each pass.

Rorschach narrowed his eyes, focusing. He realized the wind wasn't natural but rather invisible sword energy emanating from Saint Gringo's blade.

The sword energy surged forward, intent on slicing him apart bit by bit.

This old man… does he intend to kill me outright?

Not far away, Tina's clothes were torn by the sword energy, and thin lines of blood appeared on her skin.

Rorschach, gritting his teeth, picked up Hibari with one arm and lunged toward the heavily injured Tina. Reaching out with his left hand, he tried to lift Tina to escape.

"With such crimes, where do you think you can escape to? Even if you flee to Marineford, I'll drag you back to face execution."

Saint Gringo flicked his wrist, sending a sharp wave of sword energy from the blade that grazed Rorschach's left arm.

"Slash!"

A faint sound echoed as the muscles of Rorschach's left arm were sliced open, revealing the stark white of his bones.

Yet he still held Tina tightly, his feet pounding the ground with explosive power as he dashed away at top speed.

"Oh?"

Saint Gringo raised an eyebrow in surprise.

My Haki-infused sword energy failed to sever this Navy boy's arm? His bone density is strong enough to withstand my blade?

"Interesting. It seems this Navy brat's physique is rather special as well."

Saint Gringo's figure blurred as he reappeared in front of Rorschach in an instant, slashing his rapier.

"Swish!"

A hundred-meter-long arc of energy shot forth, its force strong enough to cleave the massive Yarukiman Mangrove trees in two.

Rorschach's eyes narrowed. Without hesitation, he pushed Hibari and Tina away. Roaring, he transformed into his blue Qilin form, his body swelling as dark blue Haki surged from within. He charged headlong into the enormous energy slash!

"Major Rorschach!"

"Big Brother Rorschach!"

Tina and Hibari shouted in unison.

"Slash!"

The hundred-meter-long arc struck Rorschach's chest, carving a long horizontal gash across it.

His massive frame was flung backward by the devastating blow, crashing through smaller mangrove trees before slamming through the walls of the Navy base in Area 66.

"Hm? Even this couldn't cut through your body? This is…"

"Quite unexpected."

Saint Gringo's face was filled with astonishment.

He had used sixty to seventy percent of his strength in that strike. Even the seventy-nine massive Yarukiman Mangrove trees couldn't withstand such force, yet this Navy Major's body remained intact.

This is absurd.

"Rorschach… Big Brother Rorschach!"

Hibari's eyes filled with terror and worry to the extreme.

She frantically scanned the surroundings, her chest heaving as she suddenly shouted:

"Daddy! If you don't come now, Big Brother Rorschach will die!"

"Daddy!"

Spandine smirked maliciously as he released the tortured Frisis and sneered at Hibari's cries.

"Little girl, no one you call can help you now. Before the great Saint Gringo, even a Navy Admiral wouldn't—"

"Boom!!"

A thunderous explosion suddenly rocked the skies above Sabaody Archipelago.

The entire island seemed to shake under the deafening noise.

Far away, in the waters off Area 1, a Navy warship surged toward the port with terrifying momentum.

At the bow, Akainu stood with arms crossed, his gaze sharp as a blade.

Ahead, a crimson three-masted ship, familiar in design, appeared.

"Report to Admiral Akainu! It's… it's the Oro Jackson, missing for over a decade!"

The lookout on the warship cried out in shock.

Simultaneously, Rayleigh, steering the Oro Jackson, spotted the massive Navy warship and the imposing figure aboard it. His expression darkened instantly.

Letting go of the wheel, Rayleigh gripped the hilt of his sword and shouted:

"Everyone, get below deck immediately! Shakky, be ready to abandon ship!"

Upon hearing this, Shakky paused mid-task, her gaze narrowing.

A single glance sent sweat beading across her forehead.

"It's Akainu!"

Meeting Akainu at sea was a nightmare. Even if they could match him in combat, the ship beneath them stood no chance against his destructive powers.

But as Rayleigh prepared to make the first move and slice through the Navy warship, Akainu suddenly leaped high into the sky, leaving the warship far behind.

"Careful, Shakky! Watch the sky!"

Rayleigh tensed as his sword, coated in advanced Armament Haki, left its sheath.

High above, Akainu's lower body transformed into a massive column of molten magma, propelling him through the sky.

The crimson magma streaked across the skies of Sabaody, leaving behind trails of shattered sound barriers and bursting soap bubbles from the intense heat.

"Boom!"

The explosive sound shook the heavens, a roar like that of an enraged god.

The magma torrent darkened the skies above Red Tree Area 66, dyeing everything below in a blood-red hue.

"Who dares harm my daughter?!"
