One Piece: Gold And Fire

"I'm Captain Usopp, I have 8000 men under me. You'll take back your words about my mother or I'll show you why I'm infamous in the four seas..." Shouted Usopp as he took out his slingshot and darted it at Kuro.

Usopp stood tall—or at least tried to—his knees shaking as he kept his slingshot pointed at Kuro. Kaya, still in Kuro's grasp, looked at him with wide, fearful eyes.

"Tsk, again with your lies..." Kuro just shook his head, he felt like he was just wasting his time with this idiot here.

"Let her go and Apologise for what you said about my parents, right this instance..!" Usopp shouted, his voice cracking slightly.

"Oh, and what will you do about it, liar? Throw rocks at me?" Kuro replied, not giving Usopp much attention, the boy was of no value to him, so he was thinking about how should he kill him.

Nami, watching from the side was getting anxious, slapped her forehead and groaned. "Idiot shut up…" she said with a hushed voice to Usopp but the long nose didn't hear her or maybe he just ignored her. After all, what Usopp said was mostly a lie like usual but his anger was real, so much so that even with shaky legs he was standing in front of Kuro with his Slingshot drawn.

Usopp faltered for a moment but quickly regained his fake bravado, not listening to Nami's not-too-subtle elbow attack he continued.

"Oh, they're here all right! They're... they're hiding in the bushes! They're waiting for me to give the order! Don't you look down on me, The Pirates Are Coming!!" He cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted at the top of his lungs.

Nothing happened.

Kuro's smirk widened. "Stop it, it's pathetic," he said, tightening his grip on Kaya slightly.

"Usopp, stop this!" Nami hissed, even though Kuro wasn't doing anything to them but she could see that he was getting angrier by the minute...

"I am the man who has once captured a Dragon..." Usopped continued...

"You're going to get all of us killed! Put that thing down—" A tick mark formed on Nami's head.

But Usopp wasn't listening. He continued, saying any and everything came to his mind.

"I have once tamed a Cerberus..."

"Usoppp...."

"I have a bounty of 500 million..."

"Ahaaa this idiot..."

'I have fought a sea king in the calm belt..."

"I have seen an Island of dwarves and have been their leader for a day"

Kuro who was listening to all this now had his eyebrows twitching, even for him this was too much...

"We are so dead..." Nami had tears rolling down her face, silently acknowledging her fate now. But there was no stopping Usopp.

His blood was boiling, part from Kuro's insults about his parents, part from the sight of Kaya in danger. He clenched his teeth and loaded a pebble into his slingshot.

"I have been friends with Giants, and just like them I'm also A Brave Warrior Of The Sea." Shouted Usopp

"Oh my GOD... USOPP...

Stop It..." Nami finally snapped, seeing Usoop ready to attack Kuro with that silly toy.

Usopp pulled back the slingshot, trembling as he aimed it at Kuro's head and finally let the slingshot shoot.

However, with barely any effort, Kuro tilted his head slightly to the side. The pebble sailed harmlessly past him.

Usopp gritted his teeth his eyes still on Kuro's eyes even after missing the shot.

Nami's face was paled by now. "We're so dead..."

Kaya too pursed her lips, not sure what to say right now...

Kuro chuckled darkly. "Seems like you missed." He adjusted his glasses with his sharp claws, a predatory gleam in his eyes.

Usopp stumbled back a few steps, laughing nervously. "Nah, I Never Miss...!"

"Huh ?" Kuro was taken aback, but then he saw where Usopp was looking. He slightly turned around to see behind him only to see the same bastard who annoyed him earlier this morning, standing a little away and he just threw something...

*Bang....

It felt like the sound barrier almost broke, the small thing which that man thew was so fast that Kuro didn't get even a second to dodge. The projectile came right at his face, hitting him right at the forehead.

The force of the attack was so strong that he hit Kuro, sending him flying, letting go of Kaya while he flew almost a meter before falling back to the ground.

His head was bleeding he went out of focus..."

"What..." Nami was wide-eyed, even Kaya was the same. Jango who was mostly dejected due to Kuro's earlier rebult to his actions, flinch seeing his captain in this state...

"Man, that was satisfying. Wanted to punch that face of his the first time I saw it. But I guess this is also fine." Came a joyful voice from a little away, as the boy laughed and came near.

"Ragna..." Shouted Nami with wide eyes.

[Few Minutes Before]

Ragna was having a bad day, nothing seemed to go his way today. First, that annoying butler got under his, then that businessman didn't give him the gold he wanted, even after he was ready to pay for it and lastly now this.

He had no idea where Nami and Jango were. A stray thought of Nami betraying him and escaping with Jango came to his mind but he quickly shook it off, why Nami would do something like that in the first place.

At least he doesn't see any reason for Nami to do that.

Dejected and annoyed he went out to look for Nami, it's completely possible that it was Jango who ran away and Nami went after him.

He looked around for a long, but no matter what he couldn't seem to find either of them.

He was about to go and ask the villages about the whereabouts of the girl who came with him but that's when he heard a peculiar kind of music he previously had heard.

'This...' Ragna knew this, this was the exact tune of the Saxophone heard before in Logue Town when that weapon shop owner gave him his sword.

'What the hell with this music ?' Ragna grumbled, it's not like he didn't like the music, in fact, he really liked it. This was one of those music which fills someone with fighting spirit and motivates them.

However, that didn't mean that he wasn't curious about where the sound was coming from period.

So, he rang towards where the sound was coming, only to come across this...

And as the boy said this the music intensified...the drums were playing and so were the saxophones.

Ragna had no idea what was going on, he spotted Nami, Usopp, Jango and that annoying butler holding onto a girl.

It was far enough that he didn't hear what others were saying besides Usopp who was mostly shouting while his slingshot pointed at the butler.

'Seems like that butler is annoying to everyone...' Ragna grumbled, but soon he assessed the situation as well, he saw how the man was holding onto that girl.

The lies from Usopp's mouth were getting more and more ridiculous. Though Ragna wasn't that surprised, he dealt with Buggy so this was fine.

And that was when he saw the boy suddenly looking at him, while his eyes seemed looked like were staring down at that annoying butler but actually Usopp eyes stopped on him.

And that was when he shouted.

"A Brave Warrior Of The Sea..." shouted Usopp and released the slingshot, that was when the sound of the saxophones was the most intensified.

However, that butler easily dodged the rock but Ragna had a feeling that Usopp didn't target the butler. And he was right when the rock directly flew towards him after passing that butler.

With ease Ragna caught it and looked back at Usopp, trying to understand what the boy was after when he heard him replying to that butler.

"You missed..."

"Nah, I Never Miss..."

That was when it clicked inside him, and suddenly the drums playing intensified.

'Ahh, well I knew there was more to that liar besides just his long nose...' Ragna grinned and knocked his hand back while holding the rock, aiming right at that butler's annoying face.

"And that's what happened..." Ragna quickly explained the situation to Nami who was looking at him while she heard a children's tale.

"What Music? there was no music ?" Nami rolled her eyes, by now she had a deep suspicion that the boy had some screw loose.

"Sigh, no one believes me..." The same was the case with Tashigi and now Nami. Ragna just shook his head and looked back at Usopp who was already by now plumped down to the ground, his earlier courage long gone.

These shaking legs finally gave out while Kaya who now was free went to help him.

"Urgg..." but it wasn't the ending, almost everyone beside Ragna flinched when he heard a growl.

They looked only to get startled seeing Kuro getting up. His head was bleeding and a mad look on his face...

"A Ghost...." Usopp shouted and immediately took Kaya and ran behind Ragna.

"He's not dead yet..." Nami's eyes also went wide.

"You..." Kuro growled and immediately took out his wolverine-style claw weapon and put it up on his hands.

"Now, why would a butler have something like that with him ?" Ragna said seeing the claw, still unfazed about Kuro's deadly stare or blood lust. Part of the reason is becuase he was still unaware of his identity. He just knew that he was a bad guy by how the other girl was behaving. At least his own instincts told him so.

"You'll die first..." Kuro didn't say much and immediately rushed at Ragna...
