Chapter 232: Chapter 230: Fish-Man Island (8)!

Deep beneath the ocean's surface, there exist countless massive and terrifying Sea Kings.

These giants dwarf even the Sea Kings of the Calm Belt.

The Sea Kings scattered across the Four Seas and the Grand Line, typically measuring tens to hundreds of meters, are considered the smallest of their kind. Yet, even at that size, they dominate entire stretches of the ocean, reigning as its undisputed lords.

In the Calm Belt, however, the Sea Kings grow to astonishing sizes, reaching lengths of up to 1,000 meters! Their immense power and size make them absolute giants of the seas, capable of capsizing even the most formidable vessels that navigate the Grand Line.

Before the Marines developed ships coated with seastone, the Calm Belt was an impenetrable fortress. The island nation of Amazon Lily, located within the Calm Belt, remained untouched by invaders for centuries, relying on these colossal Sea Kings as its natural barrier.

The Marines' seastone ships were revolutionary, designed with seastone hulls that could repel the Sea Kings, preventing direct conflict. Even so, if these giant creatures were to attack, not even warships led by the Vice Admirals of the Navy could avoid a watery grave.

For centuries, Amazon Lily's peace was safeguarded by the colossal Sea Kings, a testament to their incredible power.

However, the most extraordinary Sea Kings reside in the deep sea.

Their size can reach an unfathomable 5,000 meters—or even more!

In the animal kingdom, size often equates to power, especially for carbon-based lifeforms. With their overwhelming size, the power of these deep-sea Sea Kings is nothing short of terrifying.

Even the giants of Elbaf appear as insignificant as ants when compared to these immense creatures. They are the true overlords of the ocean, unmatched in might and dominance.

---

 "Whoosh!"

At this moment, these oceanic overlords, who typically remain within their vast territories, seemed to sense something.

Their enormous eyes turned simultaneously toward a single direction, filled with a deep, uncontrollable excitement.

 "Boom!"

One by one, these behemoths began to swim, their colossal bodies cutting through the deep ocean as they converged toward the same point.

Their king had awakened!

---

 "Hoo! Boom!"

On Fish-Man Island, Neptune, his three sons, Jinbei, Nami, the rest of the girls, Rayleigh, and Shakky all raised their heads in shock.

Outside the island's bubble shield, enormous shadows began to appear.

Leading them were several Sea Kings, each more than 5,000 meters long!

Following behind these titanic leaders were countless other giant Sea Kings, each exceeding 1,000 meters in length.

---

"W-What monstrous sizes… Are these the enormous Poseidon Sea Kings of the deep sea?"

The girls stared in awe at the massive figures outside the bubble, swallowing nervously.

Despite their impressive strength—an instinctive fear gripped them in the presence of these creatures.

It was hard to fathom the sheer destructive potential of these colossal beings. If they worked together, they could easily summon massive waves and tsunamis, reshaping the ocean itself.

---

"This is my first time seeing Sea Kings of such enormous proportions," Hancock admitted.

As the Empress of Amazon Lily, she had ventured in and out of the Calm Belt many times, facing its giant Sea Kings firsthand. Yet, the creatures before her—those exceeding 5,000 meters in length—left even her speechless.

The Sea Kings of the Calm Belt, already intimidating at over 1,000 meters, were utterly dwarfed by these giants. The sheer sight of them was enough to inspire terror.

---

"This… This is one of the three Ancient Weapons,"

"The king of all Sea Kings—the power that can only be wielded by the mermaid princess—'Poseidon.'"

Rayleigh's eyes, normally calm and composed, now carried a trace of shock.

Only when standing before these oceanic overlords could one truly grasp the enormity of their 5,000-meter size.

And there wasn't just one of them.

Gathered outside Fish-Man Island's protective shield were eight of these colossal Sea Kings, their immense forms radiating a quiet yet overwhelming presence.

Behind the towering 5,000-meter Sea King stood dozens of equally imposing Sea Kings, each measuring over 1,000 meters in length.

And these were merely the Sea Kings in the surrounding waters. The ocean's vastness—and the true number of Sea Kings it holds—remains a mystery, even to the World Government.

Yet, Shirahoshi has the power to command every single one of them.

This incredible ability is why Poseidon is considered one of the Three Ancient Weapons.

---

 "Poseidon…"

Neptune murmured the name, his voice tinged with complexity.

Though he had long known the latent power within Shirahoshi, truly grasping its magnitude was another matter entirely.

His daughter, Shirahoshi, was an Ancient Weapon—a concept difficult to reconcile for a father who cherished her simply as his beloved child.

---

"A weapon is just a name," Nami said gently, noticing Neptune's conflicted emotions.

Her lips curved into a reassuring smile.

"The will of that so-called weapon has already been expelled and dissipated by Ace's power. From now on, Shirahoshi is no longer a weapon. She is herself—just Shirahoshi. And as long as Ace is here, that's all she will ever need to be."

---

Ace's Devil Fruit powers, immense as they were, had created a zone of impenetrable heat and energy around him and Shirahoshi. Even the Observation Haki of those nearby couldn't reach them.

However, after Ace absorbed much of the converted flames into his own body to restore his strength, the intense barrier around them weakened.

This allowed Nami, with her enhanced Observation Haki—bolstered by her mastery of the Thunder Fruit and Ace's "field of enlightenment"—to sense what was happening.

Her purpose was clear: to remain vigilant for any signs of danger and, if needed, rush to Ace's side at the speed of lightning.

Fortunately, no unexpected dangers arose. Ace successfully guided Shirahoshi in mastering the power of Poseidon.

---

Nami's Observation Haki also allowed her to witness Ace's actions and words to Shirahoshi during this pivotal moment.

"He expelled the will of the ancient weapon?"

Neptune's expression was one of astonishment.

---

Now, Shirahoshi was no longer defined by the Ancient Weapon she embodied.

She was just Shirahoshi.

The corners of Neptune's mouth lifted into a warm smile.

"Otohime… you can rest easy now," he thought silently.

---

Tears welled in the eyes of the three princes—Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi—as memories of their mother, Queen Otohime, flooded back.

If their mother could see Shirahoshi now, she would surely feel at peace.

Neptune and the three princes turned toward Ace with profound respect and thankfulness in their eyes.

---

 "King!"

 "Our King!"

 "Are you awake?"

The booming voices of the summoned Sea Kings reverberated through the ocean as they awaited their master's command.

Shirahoshi heard a series of respectful and excited voices echoing around her, leaving her momentarily stunned. She turned to Ace, her eyes wide with confusion.

 "Ace-sama..."

Her voice was soft and uncertain as she gazed at him, her beautiful eyes brimming with both awe and unease.

Ace, however, didn't respond immediately. He stood in silence as a long-lost text resurfaced in his mind.

"Your understanding is heaven-defying, by helping Shirahoshi awaken the power of 'Poseidon', you awaken: Listen To The Voice Of All Things."

The ability to listen to the voice of all things!

Ace's eyes narrowed slightly as he began to interpret the voices of the massive Sea Kings surrounding them.

 "So, that's how it works…"

He realized something crucial: the ability to listen to the voice of all things wasn't an advanced use of Observation Haki or Conqueror's Haki.

Instead, it was a unique power, akin to Conqueror's Haki in that it existed inherently within its wielder but required awakening to manifest.

Even with his Conqueror's Haki, which had reached the apex of this era—rivaling the "King" level—and his Observation Haki, which allowed him to glimpse short moments into the future, Ace had never been able to access this ability before.

"It's not Haki at all," Ace concluded. "It's a completely separate power."

---

Meanwhile, Shirahoshi grew increasingly anxious at Ace's prolonged silence. Tears welled up in her eyes as she timidly called out again.

 "Ace-sama... is something wrong?"

Snapped out of his thoughts, Ace turned to Shirahoshi and offered her a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, I'm fine," he said gently.

His gaze shifted to the colossal Sea Kings.

"Your size is truly astounding," he remarked, marveling at their sheer scale.

Each of these creatures—over 5,000 meters long—was as vast as a small island.

---

Suddenly, one of the Sea Kings spoke, its voice resonating in Ace's mind.

 "Human, can you hear us?"

"Just like that man a few days ago..."

The giant creatures fell silent when they heard Ace voice communicating with them.

Ace turned to Shirahoshi.

"Don't be afraid, Shirahoshi," he said gently. "I can hear their voices too."

He stepped closer to her, withdrawing the power of the Paw-Paw Fruit and dispersing the flames of the Mera-Mera Fruit that surrounded him.

"Let's take it slow. We'll get used to this power together," he reassured her. "But for now, let's send them back."

---

Encouraged by Ace's calm presence, Shirahoshi nodded, summoning her courage.

"Everyone, please return home for now," she called out to the Sea Kings, her voice trembling.

However, the Sea Kings responded with reluctance.

"King, will you not come with us?"

"We wish to stay by your side."

Their massive eyes, brimming with a strange mix of longing and sorrow, gazed at her imploringly.

Shirahoshi hesitated, glancing at Ace with uncertainty.

"I… I don't know what to do," she admitted softly.

---

Ace smiled faintly and addressed the Sea Kings directly, his voice calm yet commanding.

"You have more important tasks ahead. Spread the word to all Sea Kings that your king has awakened."

He glanced at Shirahoshi with a warm expression.

"And remember, your king is Shirahoshi—just Shirahoshi."

The Sea Kings listened intently, their massive forms still as they absorbed Ace's words.

---

Drawing strength from Ace's reassurance, Shirahoshi stepped forward.

"What Ace-sama said… is my will as well," she declared, her voice steadying.

The Sea Kings bowed their heads in unison.

"We will obey the orders of our king," they rumbled.

To the Sea Kings, their king's word was absolute. They would carry out her will with pride, their devotion unwavering.

This was the terrifying might of the Ancient Weapon Poseidon —a power that commanded the loyalty and strength of the ocean's greatest creatures.

---

In a flash, the massive Sea Kings began to disperse, their titanic forms vanishing beyond the borders of Fish-Man Island.

Their mission was clear: to spread the news of Poseidon's awakening to their kin across the ocean.

And with that, the name Shirahoshi would echo across the seas—not as a weapon, but as the rightful king of the Sea Kings!
