Chapter 12: Chapter 12 : “The Ruins of Loguetown”

The once-prosperous Loguetown now lies in utter devastation.

The streets are unrecognizable, massive craters, collapsed buildings, and burning wreckage stretch as far as the eye can see. The once-bustling marketplace is now a graveyard of smoldering ash. The very earth itself has been scarred by the battle between Kael Draymour and Vice Admiral Zephyr.

The ocean churns violently, giant waves crashing against the docks, remnants of Kael's destructive power lingering in the air.

Survivors, both Marines and civilians slowly crawl from the wreckage, their bodies covered in dust, burns, and blood.

A Marine captain kneels beside the ruined Marine outpost, his hands trembling as he takes in the horrors before him.

"This… this isn't just a pirate attack… this is war."

.

Zephyr takes a deep, pained breath, his jaw tightening as he glares at the sky, where Kael had disappeared.

Zephyr : "Kael Draymour…" he mutters under his breath. "That monster… escaped."

A nearby Marine hesitates. "Sir… what do we do now?"

Zephyr's fist clenches, the remnants of his Haki crackling weakly around his fingers.

Zephyr : "We report this to Fleet Admiral Kong…"

.

The waters rage violently as Kael Draymour flies through the stormy skies, his entire body aching from his battle with Vice Admiral Zephyr. He pushes forward, leaving the burning ruins of Loguetown behind, his ship abandoned in the chaos.

The sea below churns, waves crashing like jaws eager to devour him whole. The energy in his body is fading, and the storm above crackles with distant lightning.

He needs somewhere to land.

Through the darkness, he spots a small, uncharted island in the distance, a rocky, forest-covered refuge.

"Tch… Good enough."

With his last ounce of strength, Kael folds his wings and dives toward the island, the wind howling around him.

The moment he nears the ground, his dragon form collapses. His body shrinks as he forcibly reverts to his human state, tumbling through the dense jungle canopy before crashing into the wet earth below.

THUD!

Kael grits his teeth, his body screaming in pain. His arms shake as he tries to push himself up, but exhaustion overpowers him.

His vision blurs, the sky spinning above him, the sound of crashing waves echoing in the distance.

His body won't move. His breathing slows as darkness creeps into his mind.

For the first time since arriving in this world…Kael Draymour collapses.

.

Back in Loguetown, the battered Marine forces scramble to regain control of the ruined island. Amidst the smoldering wreckage, a squad of elite officers gathers at the docks, their eyes locked on an imposing warship, Kael Draymour's vessel, left behind in his hasty retreat.

A Marine scout salutes sharply. "Vice Admiral Zephyr, sir! Kael Draymour's ship remains docked. He abandoned it during his escape!"

Zephyr, still bandaged from his brutal battle, stands near the docks, his gaze cold and calculating. His right fist clenches, the memory of their fight still fresh in his mind.

Zephyr : "He's wounded. And without his ship, he's vulnerable."

A Marine strategist steps forward. "Shall we confiscate or destroy it, sir?"

Zephyr remains silent for a moment. He studies the ship, Kael's craftsmanship, the battle-readiness, the monstrous aura that still lingers around it.

"No. Take it back to Marineford." His voice is sharp, decisive. "If we study it, we may learn something about his strategies. And if he ever returns for it… we'll be waiting."

.

Hours later, within a war room in Marineford, a meeting unfolds between Fleet Admiral Kong and his top officers.

A Marine Intelligence officer lays down a detailed report, his voice steady but urgent. "Kael Draymour has escaped Loguetown, but his ship was left behind. Our best assumption is that he either fled to a nearby island or was lost at sea after sustaining severe injuries."

A high-ranking officer scoffs. "If he's wounded and alone, we should deploy a fleet immediately. End this before he regains his strength!"

Kong raises a hand, silencing the room. His stone-cold eyes focus on the map spread before him. "Zephyr, you fought him firsthand. What's your assessment?"

Zephyr, still recovering, leans forward, his jaw tightening. "He's beyond anything we've faced before. His Devil Fruit… It's monstrous. He wasn't even awakened, yet his raw power was enough to bring Loguetown to its knees."

The room grows eerily silent.

Kong exhales sharply. "We can't afford to underestimate him. Deploy patrol fleets across the surrounding waters. I want constant surveillance on every island in the vicinity."

A grim nod passes between the officers. The hunt for Kael Draymour has begun.

At the center of the room, Kael Draymour's bounty poster is pinned to the wall, still displaying 700,000,000 Berries. But after the destruction of Loguetown, his escape, and his repeated clashes with the Marines, that number is about to change.

Kong slams a heavy fist onto the table. "Enough is enough! Kael Draymour has already caused devastation beyond what most pirates accomplish in a lifetime!"

Zephyr, still recovering from his battle with Kael, nods grimly. "He's not just a dangerous pirate. His Devil Fruit… it's beyond anything we've seen. He's only beginning to tap into its power, and he's already nearly unstoppable."

Sengoku crosses his arms, his usual calm demeanor hiding the rage burning beneath. "He fights with no code, no restraint. He is chaos incarnate. We cannot let this go unanswered."

Kong nods. "Then it's settled." He turns toward an officer standing by, ready to deliver the final verdict.

"Kael Draymour's bounty is to be raised to...

1,500,000,000 Berries!"

A heavy silence follows. The room feels tense, charged with the weight of their decision.

.

The very next day, news spreads like wildfire across the world. A special edition of the World Economy Newspaper is released, its front page headline sending shockwaves across the seas.

"Nightmare in Loguetown! Ruthless Pirate Kael Draymour Battles Vice Admiral Zephyr! Island Devastated!"

"A Monster in the Making? Kael's Unfathomable Power Stuns the Marines!"

"A New Catastrophe is Born!"

Pirates, Marines, bounty hunters, and civilians across the world read the shocking story. In the heart of Marineford, Fleet Admiral Kong reads the report, his expression dark.

At Mariejois, the Five Elders discuss the growing threat Kael poses.

On an unknown island, Rocks D. Xebec grins at the newspaper, his interest in Kael piqued. Across the sea, Rocks Pirate, Roger Pirates, and every other pirate all take notice of Kael's monstrous strength.

.

Somewhere deep within the New World, hidden on a lawless island On Hachinosu untouched by the Marines, Rocks D. Xebec sits upon a makeshift throne in a dimly lit, smoke-filled tavern. The air is thick with the stench of alcohol, blood, and ambition. Around him, his infamous crew, the future legends of the world are gathered, each reacting differently to the news of Kael Draymour's battle with Vice Admiral Zephyr.

A bounty poster with Kael's new 1.5 billion bounty rests on the table, the ink still fresh.

Edward Newgate leans back against the wooden wall, arms crossed, his massive bisento resting beside him. A deep chuckle rumbles from his chest.

Newgate : "Gurararara… A man who went toe-to-toe with Zephyr and Garp before that but still walked away alive? That ain't something you see every day." His sharp eyes scan the bounty poster.

Newgate : "And he's just getting started."

Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom) licks her lips, her gluttonous hunger for power apparent.

Linlin : "A dragon zoan, huh? His soul must be delicious! If he's really that strong, maybe I should pay him a visit and see how he tastes!"

Shiki the Golden Lion flicks his cigarette, smirking.

Shiki : "A rookie pulling off something like that? Hah! I like this guy already. The Marines are panicking, and that's always a good thing."

Kaido, still younger but already showing signs of the monster he will become, clenches his fists in excitement. His blood boils at the thought of testing himself against Kael.

John, drunk as always, waves a bottle in the air.

John : "Hah! 1.5 billion? Maybe I should team up with him and rob the Marines blind!"

Silver Axe : "We should bring him aboard and see what he wants Captain Rock's hahahaa" Laugh Silver Axe

Wang Zhi : "If he keeps up this pace, he'll have the entire world chasing him soon."

Rocks places the bounty poster back on the table and leans forward, his piercing eyes gleaming with undeniable interest.

He taps his fingers against the table, thinking.

"Zephyr survived, but Loguetown burned. That means this Kael bastard has the strength to shake the seas." His grin widens, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "And that means he belongs with us... or against us."

The room falls silent.

A decision is forming in Rocks' mind. Recruit Kael… or destroy him before he becomes a threat.

After all, there was only one king in this era of chaos.

.

On Roger Ship

A warm breeze flows across the Grand Line, the endless sea stretching in every direction. A lone ship sails steadily through the waves….

On deck, Gol D. Roger leans against the railing, a freshly printed newspaper in his hands. His usual carefree grin is nowhere to be seen. His eyes, sharp and filled with unwavering intensity, scan the bold headline:

"Loguetown in Ruins! Pirate Kael Draymour's Devastating Clash with Vice Admiral Zephyr!"

The paper details the complete destruction of the town, the terror Kael left behind, and the Marine response. But Roger's mind only focuses on one thing, Loguetown, his birthplace, had been torn apart.

Silvers Rayleigh, the Dark King, steps forward. "Captain…" His voice is calm, but there's an underlying concern.

Roger doesn't answer immediately. His grip on the newspaper tightens, the paper crumpling in his hands.

Scopper Gaban lets out a deep sigh. "That Kael guy… he's making some serious enemies. First the Marines, now maybe even us."

One of the younger crewmates nervously shifts. "Are we… gonna go after him?"

Roger finally speaks, his voice calm but firm.

Roger : "No."

He crosses his arms, his signature grin slowly returning, though this time, it carries a dangerous edge.

Roger : "That town may have been my birthplace, but it doesn't define me. What's done is done."

He looks at the bounty poster of Kael Draymour, the 1.5 billion stamped in bold ink.

The sea is vast, but fate always brings great forces together. One day, Roger and Kael would meet. And when they do… the world will shake once more.

.Within days, wanted posters with Kael's new bounty flood the seas by the news Coo

Meanwhile, on a remote island where Kael is recovering

1,500,000,000 Berries.

A smirk creeps onto his face. With a deep chuckle, Kael tosses the poster aside, his mind already planning his next move.
