One Piece: Heroic Spirits Straw Hat Pirates!

Chapter 39: Chapter 39

Navy Battleship – Interrogation Room.

Tsuru and Gion sat across from the Treasure Hunter cadres—Naomi and Psycho-P—with solemn expressions and overwhelming authority.

"You said earlier that among the people you fought, there was a man named Genrou, correct?"

Gion rapped the table in front of Naomi, her presence growing even colder.

"Y-Yes… I did fight him. But… I lost to him quickly."

Naomi shrank back, glancing nervously at Gion, confused why the woman's face had turned so cold at the mere mention of Genrou.

Don't tell me… did that guy also steal this woman's underwear or something?

Naomi pressed her lips together and sighed internally.

She couldn't believe it—she had just escaped Genrou's hands, only to immediately fall into the Navy's.

While they weren't pirates, they had done many wild and reckless things under Mad Treasure's leadership.

The Navy had already classified them as dangerous individuals.

And if those past actions were fully investigated, Naomi doubted they'd ever be released again.

"So it really is that man! And that pillar of light reaching to the heavens earlier—was that his doing as well?!"

Tsuru, sitting beside Gion, shot a glance at her clearly unsettled expression and turned her question toward Psycho-P.

"That light pillar? No… That wasn't Genrou's doing. It was a woman named Nami who was with him."

Psycho-P shook his head.

Just thinking about the aftershock of Fairy Glitter hitting him sent chills down his spine.

But more than fear—there was a deeper confusion in his heart.

What exactly was that light? Boss died in an instant, and now I can't even feel my Devil Fruit powers…

Could it be that the light didn't just deal physical damage—but also erased my Devil Fruit ability?

"So her name is Nami…" Tsuru frowned slightly. "According to reports from the Navy in Shells Town, Genrou and Luffy were accompanied by a woman."

"But they described her as an ordinary civilian with no special powers."

"She could wield something like that?"

Even though Tsuru had been far from the battlefield, her Kenbunshoku Haki had sensed the danger of that golden pillar clearly.

She was certain—even some Vice Admirals would've been seriously injured had they taken that blast head-on.

"Ordinary? No, that woman is anything but ordinary!"

"She used card-based abilities to summon lightning, fire, and other elemental attacks!"

"She was trading blows with our boss using those powers!"

"And that final pillar of light… it killed our boss. It even wiped out my ability… There's no way someone like that is just a regular woman!"

Psycho-P slammed both hands on the table and shouted, voice strained with lingering fear.

Tsuru remained calm, resting her hands under her chin as she listened.

Only after Psycho-P calmed down slightly did she speak again.

"Looks like there were serious errors in Shells Town's report."

"That woman doesn't just have powers—she's extremely dangerous."

"Psycho-P, you mentioned she did something to your ability. Can you explain further?"

Tsuru tapped the table.

"Y-Yes…"

Psycho-P nodded slightly, lowering his gaze.

Although Tsuru's tone was calm, something about her made it hard for him to meet her eyes.

He quickly explained how he was hit by the aftershock of Fairy Glitter, and upon waking up, found that his Devil Fruit power had vanished.

"Impossible. A Devil Fruit user only loses their powers upon death."

"Even if that woman can fire a beam as dangerous as the one we saw…"

"There's no way she could erase someone's powers."

"Psycho-P, I hope you're not lying. Considering what your group has done, we'd have more than enough reason to lock you away permanently."

Gion's expression hardened. Her eyes narrowed as she glared at him.

"I'm telling the truth! I really can't feel my powers anymore!"

"Wait, you're the Navy—you must have Seastone cuffs, right?"

"You can test me with those. I swear I'm not lying!"

Psycho-P cried out in desperation. He couldn't bear the thought of spending the rest of his life in prison.

"Even so, if someone wasn't a Devil Fruit user to begin with…"

"Seastone wouldn't prove anything."

Gion shook her head, clearly unwilling to accept his request.

"Um, can I say something?"

Naomi nervously raised her hand.

When Gion and Tsuru turned to her, she spoke cautiously:

"Psycho-P isn't lying. He was a Devil Fruit user—and it was the Color-Color Fruit, which helped us sneak through enemy waters in stealth."

"If you think we're lying, you can ask our other companions."

"We've been interrogated separately—we haven't had any way to coordinate our stories."

At that, Tsuru gave a subtle nod and turned to the female marine behind her.

The marine saluted and promptly left the room.

"Let's set aside the Devil Fruit matter for now. Let's go back to Genrou."

"Naomi, when you mentioned Genrou earlier, your face changed."

"That man—did he do something to you?"

Gion stared directly into Naomi's eyes, her voice deadly serious.
