Chapter 166: Chpater 166 Damn num 2
Charlos turned his head stiffly, and what came into view was Kai's sunny and handsome face, with a kind smile plastered across it.
At least, Kai thought so!
But in Charlos eyes, Kai's smile was more like the grin of someone about to complete a grand performance. He did look genuinely happy.
But Charlos felt an inexplicable terror creeping into his bones!
Then he saw Kai raising the stick high above his head. At that moment, Charlos heart skipped a beat, and a yellow liquid began to flow uncontrollably from his lower body.
Faced with overwhelming fear, he fell into a dazed state, not even mustering the courage to beg Kai for mercy.
Meanwhile, the CP0 agents nearby finally snapped out of their confusion. They were baffled as to how Kai had managed to get so close to Charlos without them sensing a thing.
But now wasn't the time to dwell on that. Their immediate concern was how to save Charlos life.
Of course, that was only a problem for the CP0. On the sidelines, Garp, Aokiji, and the others were keeping to themselves, acting as if this whole mess had nothing to do with them.
Save a Celestial Dragon? What a joke!
Especially Garp. He secretly wished Kai would just finish the job and take out this so-called "Saint." Every time he laid eyes on these scumbags, it made his blood boil.
"Demon King Kai, what do you think you're doing? I advise you not to lay a finger on Saint Charlos , or you'll face consequences you can't possibly bear!"
The CP0 agent barked, his voice stern and commanding, though deep down, he was panicking. He knew Kai likely didn't care about the repercussions of killing a Celestial Dragon, but he had to try anyway.
Whether it worked or not was one thing, but trying was another. If Charlos ended up dead, at least he could say he did his best. The World Government might not go too hard on him for that.
Formalities mattered, even if everyone hated them.
As expected, Kai didn't even glance at the CP0 agent. Instead, he looked at Charlos with a hint of disgust in his eyes.
These Celestial Dragons were truly revolting. Ugly, cowardly, and prone to losing control of their bodily functions. Kai felt like he was doing the world a favor by taking them out. Maybe the World Government should give him a medal!
Without hesitation, Kai brought the stick down with a thunderous crash.
"CRACK!"
Charlos and his mask were sent straight to the Pure Land of the West, where he could breathe his "noble" air to his heart's content.
"!!!"
Even though everyone knew this was the likely outcome, seeing it happen was still a shock.
Garp looked at Kai with a complicated expression. He hated the Celestial Dragons as much as anyone, but he'd never dare to kill one. The most he could do was ignore them. Taking action against them meant becoming an enemy of the World Government, and as a Marine, that was unthinkable.
But if he were in Kai's shoes? He might've done the same. After all, Kai was already at war with the World Government. What did he have to lose?
Kai turned to face the crowd, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Alright, folks, I'm done playing with you!"
"Especially you, CP0. I've memorized your scent. Even with that mask, I'll recognize you next time we meet."
"So..."
Kai paused, his voice dripping with menace.
"Next time, I'll be taking your head."
The CP0 captain's face beneath the mask twisted into a grimace. He knew Kai was far stronger than him. If Kai escaped now, their next encounter would likely be his last.
The thought made his stomach churn.
Kai glanced around one last time, about to summon his cloud to make a quick exit, when a sudden, overwhelming sense of dread washed over him.
He spun around just in time to swing his stick at an incoming attack, similar to the one the CP0 had unleashed earlier. But even at his peak, Kai wouldn't have been able to stop this.
The force of the blast sent him flying like a broken kite, blood spraying from his mouth.
Kai felt like his entire body was being torn apart, every bone shattered, the pain searing deep into his core.
He wanted to curse. Was everyone in the World Government carrying some kind of overpowered Conqueror's Haki weapon now? Was this how they were going to play?
Kai's body arced through the air before crashing into the distant sea, sending up a massive spray of water.
As he sank, his consciousness began to fade, until everything went dark.
Not far away, Garp and the others were equally stunned. They had no idea what had just happened.
Following the direction of the attack, they saw a figure in a white suit walking calmly toward them. Unlike the CP0 agents, this man wasn't wearing a mask.
The CP0 captain's eyes widened in recognition. "Byrnndi? What are you doing here? And why do you have a King's Spear? Who gave it to you?"
"King's Spear?" Aokiji and the others exchanged puzzled glances. Of course the Celestial Dragons would name their weapons something so pretentious.
The man, Byrnndi, stopped in front of them and spoke coolly. "Because you're all incompetent. If I hadn't shown up, even injured, the Demon King would've slipped through your fingers."
"As for the King's Spear, Saint Nashorou lent it to me. He sent me here to clean up your mess."
The CP0 captain, known as Z, clenched his fists but said nothing. He couldn't argue. He really hadn't been sure he could stop Kai. But could you blame him? The intel they'd been given was completely off! The report had described Kai as having "near-Admiral-level strength." What a joke!
But there was no point in complaining now. At least Kai had been dealt with. All they had to do was fish him out of the sea.
Z couldn't help but admire the foresight of the higher-ups. No wonder they were the bosses. They always had a backup plan.
He shook his head and began organizing a search party. Dead or alive, they needed to find Kai.
