Chapter 168: Chapter 168 Marvel rivals is addicting guys
On the Grand Line, Baltigo, the White Earth Island.
A group of Revolutionary Army members stared in disbelief at Kai, who was devouring a mountain of meat in front of them. They couldn't help but swallow hard.
Is this what a strong person looks like? He eats more than all of us combined!
After some time~
Hiccup~
Kai let out a satisfied burp, then turned to Dragon and asked, "Do you have a plan to infiltrate Impel Down?"
"Yes. I've been thinking about how to rescue them," Dragon replied.
"Huh?" Kai raised an eyebrow, giving Dragon a slight nod of approval.
At least you've got some conscience. You didn't save them back then, but at least you're thinking about it now.
"I'll go alone. Just tell me where Impel Down is," Kai said calmly, standing up slowly.
"But your injuries—" Dragon started, only to be cut off as Kai began tearing off the bandages wrapped around his body.
(#°Д°)!
"Hey! What are you doing? Do you even know how badly you were hurt?" A man dressed as a doctor in the crowd shouted, clearly annoyed.
He had seen the extent of Kai's injuries when he was brought in. In all his years of medical practice, he'd never seen anyone survive such damage. A normal person would've died eight times over.
But what shocked him even more was that during treatment, he noticed Kai's body was healing itself. It was so unbelievable that he could've stuffed an egg in his mouth out of sheer astonishment.
In the end, he chalked it up to the fact that strong people are just built differently.
But even so, he didn't think Kai would be able to move freely, let alone fight, in his condition.
But, as always, common sense was meant to be broken.
The Revolutionary Army members present were just as dumbfounded as Luffy and the others had been the last time they saw Kai's rapid healing. They stared in awe as Kai's wounds closed up before their eyes.
After a moment, Kai flexed his now fully healed body and smirked.
Now that I'm back in shape, it's time to get to work.
He turned to Dragon, who was still staring in disbelief, and asked, "Do you have a way to contact Ivankov and the others in Impel Down?"
"!!!"
As soon as Kai said this, a man with short, wavy golden hair and a scar over his left eye stepped forward, his gaze sharp. "How do you know about that? Could it be..."
Sabo glanced at Dragon, assuming he must have told Kai. But Dragon shook his head, equally confused, and turned to Kai with a probing look.
"Indeed, how do you know about this?"
"I don't care how I know. Do you have a way to contact him or not?" Kai replied coolly. With his current strength, he no longer felt the need to explain himself like he had when he first met Dragon.
Strength was his greatest confidence now.
He remembered the favor the Revolutionary Army had done by saving him. When the time came, he'd repay them by helping them achieve their ultimate goal—destroying the World Government.
Seeing Kai's indifferent expression, Dragon took a deep breath and finally said nothing more. Instead, he pulled out a strange-looking Den Den Mushi from his pocket.
"You can contact Ivankov and the others with this."
Kai nodded. "Ask them if they can gather intel and find out where Luffy and the others are being held. It'll make things easier. If we wait too long, Marine reinforcements will show up, and we'll be in trouble."
"Understood," Dragon said, then walked into the house to make the call. Kai didn't comment on Dragon's decision to keep the conversation private. After all, it was their secret, even if Kai already knew most of it.
Shaking his head, Kai turned his attention to Sabo, who was staring at him with a mix of curiosity and suspicion.
Sabo didn't understand how Kai knew information that was supposed to be known only within the Revolutionary Army. What bothered him even more was that Dragon hadn't pressed Kai for answers.
This made Sabo uneasy. He didn't like the idea of someone knowing their secrets without explanation. He even considered forcing the truth out of Kai when Dragon wasn't around.
To Sabo, the Revolutionary Army was his home. He'd lost his memory and grown up here, and he couldn't allow anything—or anyone—to threaten its safety.
Kai noticed the hostility in Sabo's gaze but didn't take offense. Instead, he said calmly, "Do you remember Luffy and Ace?"
"Luffy... Ace..." Sabo's eyes widened as a sharp pain shot through his head. Memories began to surface, fragmented and hazy.
"Sabo, what's wrong?" Koala rushed to his side, supporting him as he clutched his head.
"It's nothing... just a headache," Sabo muttered, then looked at Kai. "Luffy, Ace... those names feel familiar, but I can't remember. They're tied to my lost memories, aren't they? Do you... know my past?"
Kai nodded. "Yes. You, Luffy, and Ace were brothers. You lost your memory after an explosion when you were a kid. Luffy and Ace thought you were dead."
Kai then recounted everything he knew about the trio's childhood.
As Kai spoke, a flood of memories rushed into Sabo's mind. He collapsed to the ground, clutching his head in agony as images flashed before his eyes. He let out a pained roar.
Koala glared at Kai, her voice trembling with anger. "Why did you tell him all that? Sabo was happy here with us! He didn't want to go back to his old life!"
Kai turned to her, his gaze cold and piercing. The moment their eyes met, Koala felt as if she were staring into the eyes of a wild beast. A chill ran down her spine, and her clothes were soaked with sweat in an instant.
Kai's gaze didn't linger. He didn't care much for people who weren't relevant to him. Instead, he focused on Sabo, who was slowly getting back on his feet.
After a moment, Sabo looked at Kai, his eyes clear and filled with gratitude. "Thank you. I remember everything now."
