One piece: Into the new world.

"Who do you think you are! Obstructing world government business like this!"

The Den Den Mushi that was knocked to the floor spat out.

"I Was just passing through and I saw you about to shoot this man, you know killing isn't right...right?"

The man looked stunned at the stupidity the person in front of him just said, he obviously came here to stop that attack, he wasn't strolling through. And what does he mean killing is wrong, he just threatened to take his hand off for moving.

"I want you to let these fine ladies and gentleman free to go, and I won't execute these cp officers here."

Not bothering to look at anything but the Den Den Mushi, he stated his terms.

"They've done nothing wrong after all, right?"

The Den Den Mushi stayed silent for a moment as it seemed to come to a decision.

"Kill them all and the pirate. We don't know if he heard anything."

"SIR, YES SIR." 

The man who previously held the Den Den Mushi lunged at Kurihana from the floor and stabbed at him.

"Finger Pistol"

The Finger Pistol tried to penetrate Kurihana's chest and stab his heart, but it couldn't even scratch his skin.

Kurihana grabbed his outreached hand and pulled him towards him. When the man reached Kurihana he stumbled on the uneven terrain and was taken advantage of. Kurihana picked him up with one hand by the neck and repeatedly slammed him against the earth.

The cp agent was knocked unconscious by the numerous blows. Kurihana turned around and blocked the slash attack from another cp agent.

Jumping forward, he drew his bisento and slashed downward as he landed. Directly slicing the agents body in half, top to bottom.

The last agent turned around and grabbed the golden Den Den Mushi, it pushed a button on the side before running towards what he could assume were reinforcements or a getaway ship. 

Before he could get away, a flying slash 30 feet wide, went soaring towards his direction and bisected him. 

The Den Den Mushi went flying and was caught before it could touch the ground.

Holding the Golden Mushi up towards his face, he could see the expressions on its snail face very clearly. 

It was filled with unbridled rage.

"YOU BASTARD"

"YOU DAMN PIRATE INTERUPTED WORLD GOVERNMENT BUSINESS, DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS."

Kurihana looked surprised. "How do you know I'm a pirate?"

Seemingly calming down a bit, the Golden Mushi responded.

"We're the World Government, We're Omnipotent, we know everything that happens in these seas."

Kurihana looked at the Golden Mushi for a moment before bursting out with laughter.

"MY ASS YOU DO, HAHAHAHA, YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THESE GUYS WERE DOING UNTIL NOW."

The Golden Mushi grinded it's teeth, but it didn't let it itself get angry. Not knowing that the Buster Call was almost here. He just had to stall and this monster would be demolished.

"Anyway, you can crawl back to the red line, I'm taking these guys and I'm out of here."

Tossing the Golden Mushi in a random direction, he strolled over to the group of people behind him and spoke.

"Don't panic but there's a Buster Call on the way, I'm a pirate, but I want you guys to live. Please come with me so you Archeologists don't become extinct."

The Archeologists looked at each other than shook their head. 

Dr Clover took the lead and responded to him.

"I'm sorry young man, but we can't abandon the knowledge that would be left behind here. It's too dangerous to be left behind for the World Government."

Kurihana had a dejected smile almost as if he knew this would happen.

"What if me and my father helped you gather all the books and research on the island and then we all ran away? Would that change anything?"

"I'm sorry young man but if what you said is true, there is no time to pack anything and even if we did have time. There's too much to pack, we would never be able too."

"Let us old people die with the knowledge we gained over the decades."

Shaking his head, he looked around before he spotted a familiar figure.

"Pirate, please if you truly want to stop us Archeologists from becoming extinct, please take young Nico Robin and her mother with you to safety."

The mentioned duo flinched slightly and attention were drawn to them.

"Dr Clover, are you sure we can trust this man. He appeared out of nowhere and saved us. He could be a Government plant."

Dr Clover shook his head as he disagreed with them.

"I can tell you he's not affiliated with the Government, he's a pirate with a 100 million belly bounty. Please, he told the truth about the Buster Call, it's on it's way right now. I saw the Agent press the button."

"Please respect my decision and live...LIVE FOR ME, AND ALL THE ARCHEOLOGISTS OF OHARA WHO PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE...LIVE FOR YOUR DAUGHTER SO SHE CAN HAVE A PEACEFUL LIFE AND NOT HAVE TO BE AFRAID OF THE WORLD."

Tears were streaming down Nico Olivia's face as she slowly stood up and walked towards Kurihana with Robin towing behind her holding hands.

"I understand Mr. Clover... Sir, If you truly are a pirate, can you protect me and my daughter?"

Kurihana looked at the duo who stood before him and had a big goofy grin on his face.

"Of course I can, I'm a Natural Born Monster...Born superior to all." 

The Nico family looked strangely reassured by the strange wording and took a small smile on her face.

"Me and my Daughter are in your hands."

Both took a tiny bow to show gratitude.

"Don't thank me now, I still gotta get rid of this buster call so you don't get harmed."

Both were shocked at what he said.

"We're not running away?"

"No, I'll give you two to my father, he'll keep you guys safe. I need to get some practice against these marines."

After saying this he reached into his pocket and pulled the devil fruit from out of the system space.

Looking at it for a second, he quickly stuffed the entire thing in his mouth and swallowed it whole.

The taste was easily the most disgusting thing he had ever eaten. But the taste quickly disappeared as he felt unknown power flowing through his veins.
