One Piece: Legacy of the Pirate King

Chapter 27: : Lian’s First Adventure – Welcome to Pirate School!

Bonus Chapter 4

Legacy of the Pirate King: The Next Generation Begins

It had been twelve years since the End Realm.

Peace reigned. Pirates were fewer. And the world was rebuilding in new, better ways.

But deep in the East Blue, on a remote island shaped like a whale's fin, stood an academy unlike any other…

"Pirate School: East Blue Branch."

Run by ex-legendary pirates and Revolutionaries, this was where the next generation trained—not just to fight, but to learn values, crew loyalty, history, and freedom.

And today, the most famous kid on the sea was joining its ranks.

Lian D. Luffy, age 13.

Son of the Pirate King. Grandson of the Revolutionary Dragon. Born under a red moon, wielding both Haki and Chrono Will.

But right now?

He was freaking out.

"Do I have to wear this dumb bandana?" he asked, tugging at his uniform.

"It's traditional," Hancock said, tying it lovingly around his head.

"Try not to break the headmaster again this year," Luffy added, ruffling his son's already-messy hair.

Lian groaned.

"I didn't break him! I just… accidentally aged him 40 years."

First Day of Class

He arrived to chaos.

Students sparring. Ships floating midair. A pet kraken eating the flag. And at the center, a massive building shaped like the Thousand Sunny's head—its mouth wide open like a gate.

As he stepped through, kids whispered:

"That's him."

"Luffy's kid."

"He fought time ghosts when he was seven."

"He fell asleep mid-battle and still won."

Lian sighed.

Great. Day one and the myths were already spreading.

Meet the Class

Seat to his left:

Rin – Daughter of Zoro. Stoic, unreadable, sword always on her back. She barely spoke but made it known he better not slack off.

Seat to his right:

Lucien – Sanji's kid. Handsome, flirty, and already flirting with the mermaid instructor. "We're going to get along so well," he grinned.

Across the aisle:

Mimi – Chopper's great-niece. Genius. Built her own mech-pet that shot bubble bombs.

And behind him:

Sera – Robin's mysterious niece, who read books during battles and once made a bully hallucinate his worst fear for touching her quill.

Together?

They were trouble.

First Trial: Capture the Flag – Skyship Edition

The instructor dropped the flag in the middle of an airborne obstacle course suspended between floating ships and storm clouds.

Simple goal: get it.

Real goal: survive.

Lian grinned.

"Time to cause a little chaos."

Rin sliced through three wooden dummies before Lucien kicked one out of the sky in a burst of blue flame.

Mimi rode her mech like a surfboard, laughing wildly.

Sera muttered, "Chrono Trap," and half the field suddenly froze in midair.

But Lian?

He leapt into the sky, spun, and with a glowing palm shouted:

"Chrono Drive: Second Wind!"

He reversed gravity for two seconds—just enough to flip upside down and yoink the flag from a flying automaton's claws.

He landed in the winner's circle.

Rin smirked.

Lucien clapped.

Sera blinked twice.

"Show off," Mimi muttered.

Lian grinned, panting.

"This… is gonna be awesome."

That Night

He stared at the sky.

A breeze rustled the trees outside the dorms.

"Dad," he whispered, holding the straw pendant Luffy gave him. "One day, I'll have my own crew. And I'll find my own One Piece."

The stars twinkled.

Like they were listening.
