Although Mr. 3 wasn't particularly strong, his abilities proved to be much more effective against Magellan than those of Crocodile or Jinbe.

Not giving the enemy a chance to catch their breath, Sal seized the moment and charged at Magellan like the wind. To avoid contact with the poison, he asked Mr. 3 to cover him in a wax armor.

While the Poisonous Giant Soldier was recovering, Magellan, using Observation Haki, noticed Sal's movements. Despite being damaged by the explosion that destroyed the Giant Soldier, Magellan was prepared for Sal's attack. Dodging the blow, he commanded the Poisonous Giant Soldier to restore its defense.

Thus, it became obvious that the great sinner who killed the Celestial Dragons was the leader of this war. If looks could kill, Sal would have long been dead.

"August D. Sel, as the warden of Impel Down, I will defend it from those like you, even if it costs me my life. It is a symbol of peace."
