One Piece: Pirate Cat.

Chapter 2: The Fruit!!!!!!

In the end, after half an hour of trying, I finally managed to get down from the tree. It was a tough battle, but I can consider it a victory.

Once on the ground, I decided to look for a small river, heading left since, from above, I had spotted one about eight hundred meters away. It was in an ideal location, right at the edge of the forest.

I'm not ready to venture into the heart of the forest yet.

After a quarter of an hour, I arrived near the stream and looked around to see if there were any predators nearby. A couple of minutes passed without spotting any danger, so I cautiously stepped out and approached the water to take a good drink.

After drinking, I needed to try hunting. I could try fishing, but I didn't want to get wet. I don't know if, now that I'm a cat, I can swim instinctively like dogs.

I decided to hide in a bush and wait for a small animal to come and drink. There should be some—at least I hope so.

After two hours of waiting, I finally saw a bunny approaching the stream, ready to drink. I crouched slowly, trying to make as little noise as possible so it wouldn't notice me.

I approached cautiously, and when I was about two meters away, I prepared to jump and bite it to death.

But just as I was about to leap, the rabbit noticed me and darted into the forest. I chased it, but after only thirty seconds, I lost sight of it.

I still have a lot to learn about running properly on all fours.

Now fishing seemed like a better option, but night was approaching, and I doubted I'd be able to catch a fish before dark. My only choice now was to look for some fruit. This was my last resort, because I wasn't sure if cats could eat fruit.

I started looking for a fruit tree, and after half an hour, I finally found one. But strangely, it had only one fruit. Even stranger, the fruit looked completely unfamiliar. I didn't think I'd ever seen anything like it.

Maybe it's because of the amnesia?

Without thinking too much, I began climbing the tree and reached the fruit. Looking at it more closely, it seemed even stranger. It was light blue with circular markings on the skin. It looked like a deformed peach, but with a bizarre color.

The shape and color weren't very inviting, but I was starving, so I had to eat it, even if it tasted awful.

I dropped the fruit to the ground, climbed down, and took a small bite to check if it was edible. It had a gelatinous consistency.

But when the bite hit my tongue, an awful taste flooded my mouth, making me almost want to throw up, even though my stomach was empty.

Since this was the only food I had, I forced myself to swallow the bite, then took another, until I finished the whole fruit.

Ugh... At least now I'm full.

I looked up at the sky and saw that night was getting closer, so I decided to find a safe place, away from predators. I chose to sleep on a tree branch, one with plenty of leaves, so I'd be hidden from any creatures that might inhabit this forest.

The next morning, I woke up as the first rays of the sun hit my face, forcing me to open my eyes. I tried to roll over to sleep a little longer, but I couldn't close my eyes.

After about ten minutes, I got up and looked around, and unfortunately, I was still in a tree. I was still a cat.

So, it wasn't a dream!

Ugh... Better get down and find something to eat. This time, no fruit—the taste was horrible. I'd better try to hunt or fish.

I began to climb down the tree slowly, but at one point, the bark I was holding onto came loose, and I started to fall from a height of about ten meters.

I hoped to land on all fours and, above all, not break anything.

In the end, I landed on all fours, but strangely, I didn't feel any pain at all. It's really odd. I should have felt something, at least a little... maybe it's the adrenaline, and I'll feel the pain later.

I tried to get up, but when I tried to put my right paw on the ground, it felt like I was touching empty space. I looked and discovered that my right paw was missing.

But strangely, there was no blood. Instead, there was something that looked like blue jelly coming from the stump.

I looked around and saw a pool of jelly, the same color as my stump. I cautiously approached it, and when I was about ten centimeters away, something incredible happened: the jelly pool moved and attached itself to my stump, returning my paw to normal.

What is happening to my body?!
