Chapter 39: Chapter 39: The World’s Top Collision

When their eyes met, it was as if blood-red lightning crackled through the air, igniting a violent storm of energy between them.

Two overwhelmingly powerful auras radiated from Leo and Mihawk, causing the very atmosphere to tremble. At that moment, a fierce collision erupted.

Everyone nearby suddenly felt a wave of dizziness wash over them. Though they didn't collapse to the ground, their bodies weakened as if sapped of all strength.

Strangely, Luffy sensed something unique within this turbulent energy. A faint, unfamiliar breath stirred deep within the recesses of his mind, as if awakening a dormant instinct.

In the very next instant, the black blade and the dark blue cane, which had been locked together, violently separated—and then crashed back into each other with unprecedented force.

"Bang!"

The impact was so powerful that a shockwave radiated outward, tearing through the air and water alike. The sea surface beneath Leo and Mihawk sank rapidly, visibly buckling under the tremendous pressure.

"Ka-ka-ka-ka!"

Biting cold swept across the battlefield as shards of ice were flung in all directions. Circles of water rippling outward instantly froze over, transforming the once restless sea into a turbulent expanse of jagged ice.

"Sizzle!"

Deep red electric currents sparked and crackled fiercely where the black knife met the cane.

This surreal sight carved deep pits into the frozen sea, forcing a group of nearby Creek warriors—weak and trembling—to crawl desperately across the ice for safety.

"This… this is the collision of the world's greatest powers!"

"I never imagined it could be like this. It's beyond anything I could've imagined!"

"A monster? He can actually hold his ground against the world's greatest swordsman!"

At this moment, the only truly safe place was aboard the Baratie dining ship. Under Leo's precise control, both the Baratie and the nearby Going Merry, pushed by the swelling waves, quickly moved away from the epicenter of the battle.

As for Clark and his group? Their fate had already been sealed — they deserved no better.

Everyone aboard the Baratie trembled in fear and awe. Despite the overwhelming terror, witnessing such a world-class clash filled their hearts with an indescribable excitement.

Few are ever fortunate enough to see such a confrontation with their own eyes. This moment would be etched into their memories forever.

Luffy's face was serious as he watched the two figures locked in combat on the ice. Though he had always known Leo was strong, he hadn't expected his partner to be this formidable. But then, a smile crept onto Luffy's lips — after all, Leo was his comrade.

"Look! The clouds are clearing!" Usopp's voice trembled as he looked skyward.

His legs were weak beneath him, and his entire body shook. Fear and tension churned inside him, making it impossible to steady his voice.

Nami gripped a wooden staff tightly, recalling Leo's words — that if her stamina held, she could master this ice power.

One day soon, she would wield this power to break free from the nightmare that had haunted her for years.

In the center of the ice battlefield, while Luffy and his crew pondered the fight, Leo and Mihawk had already parted ways.

Snowflakes danced furiously in the air, spinning with the wild momentum of the two warriors.

"You're incredibly strong! I've long awaited the chance to fight someone like you," Mihawk's eyes gleamed with excitement.

He added, "I never expected the weakest East Blue to harbor someone like you. That's a huge gain. You're a fascinating person."

"Hey!" Leo grinned widely, a spark of pride lighting his face. "East Blue is not the weakest sea."

Magic patterns shimmered inside Leo's body, radiating bright light with every surge of power.

Whether it was Luffy, who dreamed of becoming Pirate King, or Zoro, who aspired to be the world's greatest swordsman, they were all powerful and driven individuals.

"Really? Let me see what you've got!" Mihawk said seriously, gripping his sword with both hands. With a sudden slash, he unleashed a fierce attack.

Leo smiled with confidence. He was now sure that his strength had reached the top tier of the world. He swung his cane again, which had been restored by magic, with deadly precision.

"Wham!"

The sharp crack of ice breaking echoed across the sea as a fierce gale swept outward, rolling farther than before.

At the heart of the battle, tremendous energy surged wildly, with deep red electric currents colliding against icy blue cold air in a chaotic dance of raw power.

"Magician or not, pure physical strength is truly impressive," Mihawk said with genuine admiration.

Their clashes were not just brute force—they were a test of wills. Leo sought to understand his limits, while Mihawk gauged his opponent's true strength.

"Speaking purely of swordsmanship, you're the strongest I've ever faced," Mihawk added solemnly.

Though Leo had accepted his level of power, he remained cautious. Mihawk's attacks could easily penetrate even his strongest magical defenses.

Without warning, the two collided again with explosive force.

The reaction sent them flying apart, standing tensely on opposite sides of the ice.

After a brief pause, they charged once more, sending waves crashing from the collision of the black blade and the magical cane.

"Boom!"

The blast struck the ice below, sending ripples of sword intent and biting cold cascading toward the ocean floor.

An eerie chill filled the air, blanketing the surroundings in a solemn, cold silence.

"Run faster! Hurry!" Creek shouted urgently, urging his comrades to flee toward the Baratie dining ship.

Above the fray, a layer of sky-blue airflow swirled around Leo's body, lifting him weightlessly into the air. His figure flickered with speed as he swung his magically restored cane again.

In a flash, Leo appeared before Mihawk and smashed his cane downward, the biting cold lashing out like a whip.

The strike came too quickly for Mihawk to fully react. He twisted sideways, but the cane still grazed his body and struck the sea surface below.

"Ka-ka-ka!"

Beneath the ice, seawater churned violently as the deep blue cold air surged rapidly along the cane, spreading underneath the frozen surface.

The seawater beneath the ice quickly condensed, and with the force of the cold air, it surged wildly toward the ocean depths.

It raced downwards until it reached the seabed, where it crystallized into a massive block of strange ice, bridging the seabed to the surface.

Some bizarre, unknown sea creatures were caught in the freezing tide, trapped and frozen alive in the icy tomb.

Mihawk dodged swiftly and swung his black blade in a deadly arc toward Leo.

The beautiful, precise counterattack left Leo no time to react, aiming directly for his neck with lethal intent.

"Careful!" Nami cried out in alarm, her eyes wide with fear as she watched Leo's peril.

Expanded and enriched version:

The battle between Leo and Mihawk was more than a fight—it was a collision of legends. Their powers were so immense that the very environment around them seemed to respond, the ocean and sky becoming part of their grand duel.

The spectators aboard the Baratie could only watch, hearts pounding as the energy exploded around them. The cold air, charged with electricity, made the hair on their arms stand on end.

Leo's body glowed faintly with intricate magical patterns, a fusion of raw physical might and arcane power. Each swing of his cane shattered ice and sent ripples of cold energy racing across the sea.

Mihawk, calm yet fierce, moved like a blade himself—sharp, swift, and unyielding. His black sword sliced through the air with deadly grace.

Their attacks were perfectly matched, the clash between blade and cane producing bursts of light, thunderous booms, and swirling storms of cold and electricity.

The ice beneath their feet cracked and reformed constantly, as if the sea itself was being sculpted by their battle.

Yet, neither seemed to give ground. Instead, they circled and struck, testing each other's strength, endurance, and skill.

Leo's physical strength surprised Mihawk. Despite Mihawk's legendary swordsmanship, Leo's endurance and magical control were formidable.

Their battle was a dance of might and technique, power and precision.

For Luffy, Usopp, Nami, and the rest, this fight was a turning point. Witnessing Leo standing toe-to-toe with Mihawk filled them with hope and inspiration.

Nami clenched her staff, thinking of the day she could wield such power herself.

Usopp's trembling hands reminded him that even fear could be a source of strength.

And Luffy's smile showed his unwavering faith in his friends.

As the duel raged on, waves crashed and the ice expanded, sealing off parts of the sea in an ever-growing prison of frost.

The chilling grip of their battle reached even the deepest seabed, freezing creatures who had no chance to escape.

The clash of the black knife and the blue cane echoed like thunder in the hearts of everyone present.

Nami's shout broke through the tension as Mihawk's deadly strike came dangerously close.

Time seemed to slow as Leo's eyes narrowed, his body tense, ready to respond.

The fate of the battle—and perhaps much more—hung in the balance..
