One Piece: Rising to Power as a Warlord of the Sea

"What! So soon!"

The sudden attack caught the Golden Lion off guard. It was so fast that even with his Observation Haki, he couldn't fully capture Natsu's movements, forcing him into passive defense.

"Taiji: Crumbling Fist!"

Natsu swung his fist with great force. Although he couldn't achieve internal damage yet, Crumbling Fist could. It was similar to the hidden force in martial arts novels, capable of striking the inside of the body directly.

"Boom!"

A dull sound rang out as the Golden Lion's passive defense was breached, and the powerful force sent him flying back, rolling twice before finally stabilizing himself hundreds of meters away.

"Strong power, no wonder you're Garp's grandson!" The Golden Lion shook his arm, feeling a bit numb, especially from Natsu's Crumbling Fist, which he found troublesome.

"Ghost Hammer: Break City!"

Just as the Golden Lion was about to speak, Gin, who had been waiting, transformed into his flight form and swung his golden hammer from the side.

"Damn it, you little brats! Is there no pirate code left? It's one thing to gang up on me, but now you're resorting to sneak attacks!" Seeing the haki-infused hammer, the Golden Lion became somewhat wary and quickly distanced himself from Gin, not wanting to experience the feeling of being hammered.

While Natsu and his crew were attacking the Golden Lion, Kumo, the Three Beasts, and Hiro were heading towards the Golden Lion's laboratory. This was a task Natsu had given them: find Dr. Indigo, the deputy captain of the Flying Pirates, and obtain the research report on the special "I" plant's components. Hiro would then research ways to enhance and control these components.

Once they could control it, it would be like strengthening the body, similar to Chopper's Rumble Balls. Looking at the island, it was clear that the creatures were all quite powerful. If they could control them, it could form a formidable beast army.

Natsu had already given his suggestion, and whether Kumo and Hiro succeeded wasn't his concern.

"Fzzzt fzzzt!"

"Cough, who's sneaking out gas? (ー_ー)!!" Hearing the strange sound, kumo covered his nose with one hand and spoke with distaste.

"It wasn't me, boss!"

"It wasn't me either, you know my farts don't sound like that!" Little White and Little Gold explained in a hurry, both looking at Hiro, clearly asking if it was him.

"It wasn't me!" Hiro replied, speechless. How could it be him? As a professional doctor, he was very disciplined and careful with his diet.

"Eh, a new creature? Looks pretty good!" Dr. Indigo appeared in front of Kumo, wearing strange clothes, his eyes scanning the Three Beasts and Hiro.

"Boss, it's this guy!" Little Gold pointed at Dr. Indigo as he walked, making strange sounds.

"-_-|| As expected, in the New World, there's no surprise at the kinds of people that show up," Kumo muttered, exhausted by this bizarre encounter.

"Ha ha, a talking animal? Where did the captain find you?!" Dr. Indigo laughed wildly, his long sleeves swaying as he danced around excitedly.

"Looks like this is the ship doctor Indigo from the Flying Pirates that Natsu mentioned. Kumo, tie him up!" Hiro observed for a moment, confirming the information, then told Kumo.

"Indigo! Heh heh, that makes things easier!" Kumo grinned wickedly, cracking his arms, and the Three Beasts advanced towards Indigo.

"What do you want to do?" Indigo asked, surprised.

"What do you think? Kekekeke!"

"Chemical Magic!" Indigo quickly twirled his long sleeves, releasing a series of floating orbs that headed straight for the Three Beasts.

"Slash!"

Although unsure of what this strange person was doing, Little Gold acted cautiously. He appeared in front of Kumo in a flash, raising his sword and slashing down. A wave of sword energy, about ten meters long, cut through the air and shattered all the small orbs.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

As the sword energy struck, the orbs exploded, releasing a burst of colorful gas into the air.

"Hmph, a sneaky guy, huh!" kumo was enraged. His body grew rapidly, turning into a giant panda beast over ten meters tall. With a single swipe, he knocked Indigo down, sending a wave of dizziness through the doctor as he experienced the full force of the panda's strength.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Three consecutive punches sent Indigo crashing into the ground, unable to escape, blood pouring from his mouth, clothes torn, and his eyes glazed over as he fainted.

"Tch, weakling. Little White, drag him along. Let's move!" To Kumo, as long as this guy wasn't dead, it was fine. He ordered Little White to drag Indigo while they proceeded to the laboratory. With a powerful punch, they broke the door open and kicked it aside.

"Who's there? Ah!" The members of the Flying Pirates, who were observing the island's creatures, were immediately pinned to the ground by Little White's tiger claws, frightened into unconsciousness by the overwhelming presence of a true beast.

Resistance? That was out of the question, especially after seeing Indigo, who looked like a corpse, at the entrance of the lab.

"Interesting! They've developed so many types of enhancement drugs! Hahahahaha! Kumo, it looks like your Beast Legion has a chance after all!" Hiro exclaimed as he picked up the lab documents, reading them carefully. The more he read, the more excited he became, realizing he had found a way to enhance the physical abilities of creatures.

With a few more experiments, he could create real biological warriors—beings with the strength of a bear and the speed of a leopard.

Back on the battlefield, the Golden Lion became increasingly frustrated. After hundreds of exchanges, he still hadn't gained the upper hand. He refused to accept it.

"Wave Slash!"

After another round of combat, the Golden Lion, Shiki, distanced himself from Natsu and the others. Raising his foot, he gathered sword energy and then swung it with all his might, sending a massive sword wave slashing horizontally. The speed was so fast it rivaled light.

"Golden Light Spell! Shield!"

Natsu didn't avoid the attack. He wanted to test just how strong this assault was to see if he could withstand the power of a Yonko in the future.

"Buzz~"

The sword wave collided with the golden shield, creating a sharp ringing sound as sparks flew. For a moment, neither side could prevail.

The clash lasted for ten minutes before Natsu smiled slightly as the golden light from his shield dissipated, and in that same instant, he appeared next to the Golden Lion.

"Serious Fist: Earth-shattering Strike!"
