"One Piece: Sign-In at the Start to Get Ryūjin Jakka"

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Shiki Escapes, Garp Joins the Battle

Over the vast sea, News Coo birds soared freely across the skies.

Not long after the end of the Buster Call, Morgans—the owner of the world's largest newspaper company—immediately printed and distributed newspapers upon receiving the explosive news.

As for the authority of the Navy? He didn't care in the slightest. All he cared about was whether it was big news!

Now, with the addition of the news about Roya, he had two massive headlines that could drive the entire sea into madness!

At this moment, an uproar was already spreading across the oceans!

The first news: Roya, who singlehandedly destroyed a Buster Call with one sword strike, now had a staggering bounty of 3 billion Berries—and this was only his second bounty ever.

Compared to before, this time Roya's strength had truly entered the radar of the world's top powerhouses.

After all, wiping out a Buster Call with a single blow is not something just anyone can do.

The second news: the Golden Lion Shiki had broken out of Impel Down, the prison known to be unescapable!

This shattered the decades-long record of no successful escapes from Impel Down.

These two events were a huge humiliation for both the Navy and the World Government.

It was a double slap in the face, and it left both institutions desperate to restore their image.

For a time, the seas became even more chaotic.

West Blue – Ohara – Inside the Tree of Knowledge

Roya had been in Ohara for a full day now. He held little Robin in his arms, reading the newspaper.

As soon as he saw the news about Shiki, a digital voice echoed in his mind.

Ding! New Sign-In Mission: Vielmeu – Reward: One Random Zodiac Talisman – Time Limit: 5 Days!

As the system's voice faded from his mind, Roya's eyes narrowed slightly.

If he remembered correctly, after Shiki escaped from Impel Down, he went to this very place.

He intended to use the IQ plants, which could enrage animals, to take over the world again.

Robin sensed a shift in Roya's aura and immediately asked,"Brother Roya, what's wrong?"

Hearing Robin's words, Roya smiled and gently replied,"Robin, I have something to take care of. I might need to leave Ohara for a while."

Olvia was standing nearby and heard his words too.

"Roya, where are you going? Is there anything I can help with?"

Roya gently set Robin down and turned to Olvia.

"Olvia, do you know a place called Vielmeu?"

"Vielmeu…" Olvia softly repeated the name, and then her eyes suddenly lit up.

"I know that island! I went there once while researching the Poneglyphs. I didn't leave an Eternal Pose, but I remember how to get there. The villagers are incredibly hospitable too."

She continued, "Roya, wait here for a moment. I'll draw you a simple sea chart—hopefully it'll help."

Robin watched her mother walk over to the desk, then turned her gaze back to Roya.

She couldn't see his face beneath the cloak, but Robin really didn't want him to leave—it reminded her of the time her mother left.

"Brother Roya… will you come back? When will you return?"

Robin clung to the edge of his cloak, tears welling in her eyes, threatening to spill at any moment.

"It's just for a while. If I get the chance, I'll come back to visit. But if you promise me that you'll work hard to train your Devil Fruit powers… then when you grow up, you can go out to sea and find me. We'll explore the world together."

"Really? You promise not to lie?"

"I won't lie to you."

"Then let's pinky swear."

Robin held out her little finger.

Roya reached out his own, and their pinkies hooked. Then their thumbs pressed together as Robin solemnly said,

"One hundred years—no takebacks!"

"Mm. I won't break our promise."

After their vow, Olvia came back with the map she'd drawn and handed it to Roya.

"Roya, Ohara will always welcome you."

"Mm."

Roya nodded softly as he took the map, then quietly left the Tree of Knowledge.

As he walked toward the outskirts of the island, he realized that many villagers had followed behind him without him noticing.

They had all come to see him off. Thanks to Roya's intervention, Ohara still stood today.

To them, he was the island's savior.

Looking at these people, Roya felt a ripple of emotion in his heart.

When he reached the island's edge, he slowly turned around.

He knew leaving wasn't without risk. Though the Navy likely wouldn't move against Ohara again anytime soon, it was still better to be cautious.

With that in mind, Roya quickly began to weave hand signs:

"Wood Style – Deep Forest Emergence!"

With a loud slap of his hands on the ground, a surge of life energy from his Wood Style jutsu flowed into the earth.

The roots of the Tree of Knowledge burst from the ground again, becoming thicker and more intertwined, wrapping tightly around the entire island of Ohara.

Roya left only a few entry points, transforming Ohara into a naturally fortified bastion—easy to defend, hard to attack.

Only after completing this did Roya return to his ship and set sail for Vielmeu.

Three days later...

A dog-head Navy warship and two standard warships were speeding across the sea.

Standing tall on the deck of the lead ship was a broad-chested, muscular old man—Vice Admiral Garp.

His gaze pierced the ocean, as if he could see the panicked silhouette of Shiki fleeing far ahead.

He muttered in a deep voice,"Didn't expect that Golden Lion Shiki would go so far as to cut off his own legs just to escape Impel Down. He must have been planning this for a while."

"Vice Admiral Garp, according to intelligence from the World Government, it seems Shiki is heading for an island called Vielmeu,"

reported a Navy commander.

"Vielmeu, huh? Then we're heading in the right direction. Full speed ahead—we must re-capture Shiki and eliminate this threat once and for all!"

"Yes, sir!"

Just then, the navigator called out,"Vice Admiral Garp! We've spotted a ship up ahead. No pirate flag, but there's a cloaked figure standing on deck."

Garp's brow furrowed.

He knew full well that recently a mysterious cloaked figure had been making waves—constantly opposing the Navy at every turn.

If it really was that mysterious person...

Then perhaps he could kill two birds with one stone.
