Chapter 35: Fight — Eat — Sleep — Repeat
"Are you kidding me?"
"I know that when kings clash, it can indeed strengthen one's Conqueror's Haki... but that Marine brat's improvement is a bit too ridiculous."
"Just a few exchanges with Bullet, and compared to the beginning, his Conqueror's Haki has at least doubled!"
"If he keeps improving at this rate, give him another two or three minutes against Bullet, and he might even catch up—or surpass him!"
"Could it be... this is the real reason these navy people came to Infinite Hell?"
Witnessing the hegemonic collision between Rosen and Douglas Bullet, all the prisoners were utterly dumbfounded.
Some even guessed Rosen's true purpose for coming.
"Hey there."
"Bullet, right?"
"Why did you stop? Why don't you continue?"
Rosen turned and looked toward the cell where Douglas Bullet was imprisoned.
Having just tasted that rocket-like surge in Haki growth, he truly couldn't get enough.
"Continue?"
"Fine!"
"If you let me out, I'll make sure to thoroughly satisfy you!"
Douglas Bullet raised his seastone shackled arms, his face gloomy as he grinned darkly.
He indeed loved fighting—and loved even more the thrill of challenging the strong. But Train a so-called "new era"? He had no interest in that at all.
Especially not for a Marine.
Compared to nurturing new blood, he would rather destroy everything that symbolized this new age.
"Remember what you just said."
Hearing Bullet's words, Rosen didn't refuse—he only glanced at him meaningfully.
Letting Douglas Bullet out was inevitable.
After all, Douglas Bullet's name was right there on Zephyr's list.
But not now.
Although Rosen's Conqueror's Haki had more than doubled after that clash, he knew very clearly—
Even with his newly strengthened Conqueror's Haki, he had only been cultivating it for three days. He could never defeat Douglas Bullet in a real fight yet.
A clash of Haki is different from an actual battle.
Once the fight begins—
In the realm of kings, even the slightest gap in the Three Forms of Haki can be magnified infinitely.
Just like Luffy and Kaido.
Without Gear 5 Nika, even if it were a siege, even if Kaido was busy carrying Onigashima on his back the entire time, Luffy would never beat him purely with Conqueror's and Armament Haki.
"Not for long now."
"I'll take care of the names at the top of the list first... then it will be your turn."
"Douglas Bullet."
Rosen cast one final look at Bullet's cell.
Next time—
It would not be a mere clash of spirit, but a true all-out battle.
A real duel of fists, blades, Haki, and abilities.
"What's the meaning of this?"
"Is he really going to let me out?"
At that moment, Douglas Bullet was slightly stunned by Rosen's cryptic words.
Though his reason told him this was impossible—after all, it had taken Garp, Sengoku, and an entire Buster Call to capture him—Bullet couldn't help but harbor a faint, dangerous hope.
Even if he wasn't released, as long as those seastone shackles could be unlocked, he could have a real fight.
"Teacher Zephyr, let's start the class."
Ignoring Douglas Bullet, Rosen turned and looked at Zephyr, signaling him to begin.
After experiencing that explosive growth against Bullet, his appetite for this internship had been completely awakened.
At this point—even if Zephyr, Sengoku, and Garp all came together to drag him back to the Naval Academy—he would refuse.
Stay in the academy?
Eat, sleep, and idly pass time?
That would take at least three to five years before reaching the level of an Admiral.
But in Impel Down—
Fight.
Train.
Eat.
Sleep.
Repeat.
If things went smoothly, within a year, he could surely become an Admiral.
Potential? Talent? Aptitude?
All just empty words.
In Rosen's eyes—only power was real. And only when truly grasped in his hands would it have meaning.
This was the Grand Line. A place of miracles and sudden disasters.
You never knew what would come first—tomorrow or death.
Only by mastering overwhelming strength could one face all unexpected changes calmly.
Otherwise—
Even the greatest talent would remain nothing but talk.
"Class?"
Hearing Rosen's words, Shiryu's eyes lit up, his expression full of anticipation.
As for Domino, she was still completely dazed, her mind still reeling from that monumental Haki clash just now.
"The first one..."
"Brynndi World."
Zephyr slowly opened the list he had meticulously prepared.
He had carefully arranged each name, ensuring a balance across different specialties—
Whether it was Armament, Observation, Conqueror's, swordsmanship, or devil fruit abilities.
Moreover, he had arranged them from weaker to stronger—avoiding a situation where Rosen would crash against a king-level monster right from the start.
"World Destroyer?"
Borsalino thoughtfully pinched his chin.
He vaguely remembered this name—not because of Wald's strength or fruit ability alone, but rather because his method of imprisonment was the most unique among all level six prisoners.
Others were restrained by a combination of seastone shackles and prison cells.
But Brynndi World—
It was frozen.
Frozen in a literal block of deathly ice.
"I'm only responsible for dragging Brynndi World over to you. As for what happens afterward, it has nothing to do with me."
Although Shiryu was the chief warden of Impel Down, his personality was the complete opposite of Magellan's.
He was ambitious to his bones—some might even say he yearned for chaos.
If it had been Magellan, he would probably be fiercely arguing with Zephyr right now.
But Shiryu? He merely snorted and turned away.
"What are they trying to do?"
"From what that brat and Zephyr said... they plan to release Brynndi World?"
"Why?"
"Could it be that the World Government wants to use Brynndi World for some experiment?"
"That must be it!"
"Otherwise, why would the navy be so kind as to come all the way to Infinite Hell to unfreeze the World?"
"Hahaha! How pitiful! Being dragged to a lab, cut up, and dissected... it'd be better for him to just die here!"
The prisoners all whispered among themselves.
But none of them were sympathizing.
On the contrary, they were all gloating.
"This is the prisoner you asked for."
Before long—
Shiryu returned, dragging a huge block of ice, and with a single kick, shoved it in front of Zephyr.
Bang!
Zephyr raised his foot to stop it. His gaze swept over the green-bearded man sealed inside before he suddenly slammed his palm down.
Crack!
With a burst of Armament Haki, the massive ice instantly exploded into shards.
Brynndi World emerged from the shattered ice, standing upright before them.
After a moment—
The World Destroyer, frozen for nearly twenty years, slowly opened his eyes.
His expression shifted from dazed, to bewildered, then finally twisted into unbridled fury.
Frozen for two decades.
Yet merely moments after thawing, with no rest or treatment, he could already stand up unscathed.
This was the physique of a true monster.
This was what it meant to be a level six prisoner of Infinite Hell.
"Why did you betray me!?"
"Damn it! You all deserve to die! Everyone who stands in my way must be destroyed!"
"Be it navy, World Government, or pirates—there is no difference!"
Bloodshot madness filled Brynndi World's eyes.
His memories were still stuck at that moment, twenty years ago—right after being betrayed by his subordinates, just before he was frozen alive.
