One Piece: Starting in God Valley as a Slave

Chapter 193: Chapter 193

Darkness poured out from Carl's palm, like a dark curtain covering the entire Noah.

The ships of the old era no longer had any need to exist. Carl intended to erase the mark that Joy Boy had left on this world, making his so-called promise nothing more than empty talk.

However, just as the darkness was about to swallow Noah, the entirety of Fishman Island was suddenly shrouded in a mysterious and immense shadow.

Carl paused and looked up, only to see several colossal heads hanging in the air, each one connected to an unimaginably huge body.

They were the giant Sea Kings.

Everyone on Fishman Island saw these terrifying creatures and stood there in a daze, their legs feeling like they were filled with lead, unable to move.

In front of Ryugu Palace, Otohime remained outside the gate, looking up at the massive Sea Kings above and murmuring,

"What happened?"

At this moment, only Carl, who was closest to the group of giant Sea Kings, seemed calm and composed. There wasn't even a flicker in his gaze.

He spoke softly, "Finally decided to show yourselves? Were those beasts you sent at the beginning?"

A Sea King with a bird's beak shook its massive head, its beak opening and closing as though trying to communicate something.

But Carl wasn't a Sea King and didn't have the Voices of All Things, so he couldn't understand what the Sea King was saying.

Without understanding, Carl chose not to listen. With a flick of his hand, darkness once again enveloped the Noah. The Sea Kings suddenly grew agitated, their eyes blazing red as they glared at Carl.

Then, led by the Sea King with the bird's beak, the colossal Sea Kings surged toward Carl.

Their immense bodies created powerful currents as they swam, causing the whole of Fishman Island to tremble violently.

Carl snorted and swung his arm, hurling the pitch-black Noah straight toward the charging Sea Kings.

Seeing Noah coming at them, the monstrous faces of the Sea Kings showed a rare look of human-like astonishment. They panicked, trying to halt their massive bodies.

But it was no simple task—their bodies were enormous, their swimming speed immense, and the force of their momentum was simply overwhelming.

Boom!

With an earth-shaking sound, Noah collided heavily with the group of Sea Kings who had no time to brake. For a moment, fragments of the hull mixed with blood poured down like rain.

Carl waved his hand, and waves of darkness surged out, swallowing every splinter and drop of blood.

The Sea Kings, having absorbed the brunt of Noah's impact, were not fatally wounded but were now enraged beyond measure.

They wanted to crush the ant-sized human!

As they rushed toward Carl again, several dark tentacles shot out from behind him, wrapping around the necks of the Sea Kings. Although darkness was intangible, it bore an overwhelming gravity. No matter how the Sea Kings struggled, they couldn't escape.

Their massive bodies twisted, sending the seawater churning and roaring like boiling water. The violent forces generated vortexes and rapids, threatening to capsize Fishman Island like a boat caught in a storm.

The Sea Kings, seeing the peril faced by Fishman Island, ceased their struggling, letting the dark tendrils bind their necks tightly, floating still.

Bound like animals by Carl, the Sea Kings felt a profound sense of humiliation, but they were powerless to resist.

Carl looked at the behemoths before him, a wicked smile tugging at his lips.

"Animals should know their place. Do you really think you're heroes destined to save the world? At the end of the day, you're just tools."

The Sea Kings glared at Carl, their mouths moving. Anyone watching might have thought they wanted to devour him, but they were speaking to one another.

They understood Carl's intent, though he could not grasp their words, and the frustration was palpable.

Carl continued, "Don't get too worked up. Soon, you'll willingly serve as my pets. That day isn't far off!"

The bird-beaked Sea King stretched its neck, opening its mouth wide as if to respond. Carl guessed it might be saying something along the lines of,

"You're dreaming!"

He laughed. "Just wait and see. Your eight hundred years of waiting will be nothing but a joke! Hahahaha!"

As his laughter echoed, Carl's form twisted, transforming into a swirling black vortex before vanishing entirely, leaving a temporary void in his wake.

The dark tentacles around the Sea Kings' necks dissolved as well.

Yet, the Sea Kings didn't feel relieved. They exchanged glances, communicating in their own language.

"Who is that human? Is he the one from the prophecy? What role does he play?"

"Prophecy? But Noah is destroyed! This isn't how it was foretold!"

"Will Joy Boy be born again?"

"Could it be that Joy Boy's words were lies?"

"No, impossible! The prophecy was true! It was that human who was the anomaly! Until now, everything followed the prophecy!"

"And he clearly knows something. If that's the case, both Joy Boy and that individual are in grave danger."

"As long as Joy Boy remains in the sea, we can protect him. But what about the other? Can he contend with that human?"

"We don't know. All we can do now is await the Joy Boy's arrival..."

With that, the Sea Kings fell silent, their gaze fixed on Fishman Island below, caught between determination and despair.

Ironically, the residents of Fishman Island looked back at them with only fear, some even wishing that Carl would return to quell these terrifying creatures.

After a long, silent stare, the Sea Kings turned, descending into the dark abyss until they vanished from sight.
