Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Moria Vs Kaelen.
On the three-masted sailing ship, Kaelen Tsukishiro immediately spotted the pirate ship rushing toward them.
"That's Moria. I didn't expect to run into him here, but it looks like the visitor is not someone to be taken lightly," Kaelen said, narrowing his eyes as a dangerous aura radiated from his body.
Moria's massive figure sat heavily on the deck, clearly struggling to keep control.
At the same time, Moria caught sight of Kaelen. His eyebrows shot up in alarm, and he shouted urgently, "Quick, change course immediately!"
"What's wrong, Moria-sama?" Absalom asked.
"That man, he's insane and incredibly powerful. We need to get out of here as fast as possible."
Moria once challenged the Four Emperors' Kaido recklessly. But since then, he had become weaker, his strength retreating over the past twenty years.
Yesterday, Kaelen had made a move, and Moria was there to witness it firsthand. Naturally, he understood Kaelen's capabilities.
His instinct was to run. The farther, the better.
Sweat pouring down his face and his expression anxious, Absalom also realized something was very wrong.
The target they intended to rob turned out to be a formidable opponent. Even Moria dared not provoke him.
While they prepared to flee, Kaelen's interest was piqued.
"Moonlight Moria, Shadow Fruit ability user, and Absalom with the Invisible Fruit," Kaelen mused.
"Since the feast has arrived at my doorstep, there's no reason not to partake."
Though his hands were clean of blood in this world, Kaelen was far from kind-hearted.
When it came to killing, he was decisive and unhesitant.
"Moonlight Moria, since you're here, why run? The scenery is nice, might as well rest here permanently!"
Kaelen leapt into the air, then launched his right fist forward.
The power of his Shock Fruit condensed into a white light in his hand, smashing into the air fiercely.
Crackling sounds followed as the air in front of Kaelen twisted and warped, fractures spreading like spiderwebs.
Within a radius of thousands of meters, the ocean's surface churned and fragmented, as if torn apart.
Above, the clouds split from the impact.
It looked like the end of the world.
"Scattered Bat Swarm!"
Moria's pirate ship, already battered, shattered instantly under the violent vibration.
Fortunately, Moria activated his ability just in time, transforming several shadows into bats to carry himself and Absalom into the air.
If they had fallen into the sea, their fate would have been grim.
The concussive force tossed Moria violently, and a scream escaped him—a ghastly sound like a screeching night bird.
"Heh, why pretend to be stupid? What were you really planning before? Do you think I don't know?"
Kaelen's lower body ignited in roaring flames, floating above them like a fire god bathed in blazing light.
"Enough talk. Die obediently!"
With that, Kaelen flew above Moria and Absalom. His right arm transformed into elemental fire as he punched downward.
"Fire Fist!"
Boom!
The fiery fist descended like a meteor, unstoppable and bright yellow.
Everywhere it passed, the air distorted and crackled with heat.
"How is this possible? That's the Flame-Flame Fruit ability? Are you like Blackbeard?" Moriah's eyes widened in disbelief, his voice trembling with horror.
He wanted to say it was an illusion, but the scorching heat proved otherwise.
"This is terrifying. How can such a monster exist in this world?"
Absalom shuddered, feeling death's breath close by, regret flooding his heart.
If he hadn't suggested robbing this ship, they wouldn't be facing the Thunder monster.
But no matter the regret, he couldn't turn back time.
Before they could react further, Kaelen's attack came crashing down.
"Shadow Horn Gun!"
Moria inhaled deeply, releasing countless shadows from his body. They converged in his right hand, forming a pitch-black spear.
With a sharp whistle, the spear shot forward like lightning, colliding with Kaelen's blazing fist.
Boom!
The two attacks clashed fiercely. After a brief standstill, an explosive shockwave burst out, and both attacks detonated simultaneously.
Before Moria and Absalom could recover, Kaelen unleashed another devastating blow.
"Fire Fist!"
This time, Kaelen struck with both fists, summoning a fireball twice as large as before.
Moria and Absalom's eyes widened in rage and shock.
Kaelen was truly overwhelming.
"You are too deceptive!" Moria roared, his expression twisted with fury.
"Come out, Oz!"
A massive shadow erupted behind Moriah, surging like a tide.
It was the shadow of Little Oz, collected by Moriah during the summit war.
Unexpectedly, it came in handy now.
"Arrgh!"
As Little Oz's shadow entered Moriah's body, his form expanded and his breathing intensified.
His sanity, however, slipped away quickly, replaced by a violent rage in his eyes.
"Trash!"
Kaelen shook his head, unimpressed.
He then charged down.
Despite Moria's increased strength from absorbing Little Oz's shadow, Kaelen still looked down on him.
Boom!
Three explosive punches rang out. Moria blasted apart the enhanced Fire Fist attack but was thrown back several meters, landing less than ten meters from the sea.
"Get down here!"
Kaelen shouted, launching another relentless attack without hesitation.
