Chapter 230: Uchiha Obito

BAM!
Uzumaki Naruto's fist slammed into Minato's stomach.
"Dad! Why did you put that thing inside me? Thanks to you, I've had nothing but a miserable time!"
"I'm sorry for all the pain it caused you. I don't deserve to apologize as a father, but I sealed half of the Nine-Tails' chakra inside you because I believed in you. I knew you could master its power... because you're my son."
"Even though it's caused you so much suffering, it's the only gift your mother and I could leave for you. If you can control it, your strength will grow immensely. When you're strong enough, you'll be able to face anything life throws at you and survive."
"For Kushina and me, as long as you're alive, that's all that matters."
"Dad is really sorry."

"Are they gone?" Konan asked, looking at Nagato.
Nagato nodded. His sensory rain could no longer detect the chakra signatures of those individuals, meaning they had left the village.
Konan sighed. "It's hard to believe. Uchiha Kitaro is that powerful... It's like he's on a completely different plane of existence. But don't be discouraged, Nagato."
She assumed Nagato was upset about losing so badly and tried to comfort him. After all, his Six Paths of Pain had never been defeated like this before.
But Nagato shook his head. "I'm not discouraged. In fact, I'm kind of relieved."
"What?!" Konan was taken aback.
"If Orochimaru is with them, Uchiha Kitaro definitely knows about the Akatsuki's plans. He could've stopped me, but he didn't. That means he agrees with my goals."
"As long as he doesn't interfere with the Akatsuki's actions, that's a huge relief for us."
Nagato wasn't one to fear defeat. He knew this world was filled with powerful people, and while his abilities were immense, they didn't make him invincible. His frail body was his greatest limitation.
He had no doubt that Kitaro had figured out the location of his real body, and he suspected that Uchiha Shisui had noticed as well.
"What are they after with Orochimaru?"
"I don't know," Nagato replied. "But Orochimaru himself is extremely dangerous."
Orochimaru was a terrifying figure. No one could afford to underestimate him, given the forbidden techniques and dangerous knowledge he possessed.
Suddenly, the space around them distorted, and a figure appeared beside them.
"Madara-sama!" Konan greeted, bowing slightly.
Uchiha Obito—masquerading as Uchiha Madara—spoke in a calm, detached tone. "Uchiha Kitaro... He's an exceptionally dangerous man. Even among the Uchiha, his talents are unmatched. His abilities surpass anyone in ninja history."
Despite being two years older than Kitaro, Obito couldn't hold a candle to him. Kitaro had always been the insurmountable mountain looming over their generation.
"Nagato, you fought him. What's his strength like now?"
Nagato's expression grew serious. "Incredible. Unparalleled. Even with the Rinnegan, I couldn't compete with him."
"His chakra reserves are bottomless, like a living Tailed Beast. And his combat instincts... Before I could even react, my Six Paths of Pain were annihilated."
"Unless I focused all my attention on the Deva Path, I couldn't keep up with his movements at all. Honestly, I don't think he even needed that enormous godlike warrior to beat me. He could've done it effortlessly without it. We're simply not on the same level."
Konan, intrigued, asked, "Madara-sama, what was that giant warrior?"
"That was Susanoo," Obito explained. "The ultimate technique granted by the Sharingan, unlocked only by those who awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan. It's called a godly power for a reason."
"Uchiha Kitaro has pushed its capabilities to unprecedented levels. His strength is terrifying. In fact, I believe only the Sage of Six Paths had powers like this."
Obito's tone carried a rare gravity, his eyes reflecting deep concern.
"Thankfully, Konoha's leadership is made up of fools. If they had kept Kitaro in the village, his presence alone would've been more intimidating than the Nine-Tails itself."
"When Kitaro was in Konoha, no village dared to challenge them—not Iwagakure, not Kumogakure, not Sunagakure, not Kirigakure. But the moment he left, all those villages jumped at the chance to strike."
"The Konoha higher-ups feared the Uchiha's power, worried about Kitaro gaining favor among the people, and felt their authority was threatened. That's why they worked so hard to ostracize the Uchiha."
"And now? Kitaro has vanished, taking the Uchiha with him. The Third Hokage drove away Tsunade, orchestrated the Fourth Hokage's death, let Orochimaru defect, pushed Jiraiya to stay away from the village, and caused Kitaro to disappear."
"So many of Konoha's strongest forces are either dead or gone. The once-mighty Konoha is now a shadow of its former self, thanks to that man."
"Ha! Some called the Third Hokage the strongest Hokage who built the strongest Konoha. In truth, he's the most despicable, incompetent one. Power-hungry, self-serving, and ruthless in eliminating dissent."
"But for us in the Akatsuki, that's a blessing."
"The weaker Konoha becomes, the smoother our plans will unfold."
