Chapter 3: Chapter 3:Tashigi!
A pirate named Kai, with a bounty of two million berries, sprinted frantically through the dense jungle, his breath ragged, his face drenched in sweat. His terrified screams echoed as his crew followed, their faces pale with horror.
"The demon is coming!" Kai shrieked, his voice laced with desperation.
Above them, the sun blazed high in the sky, casting a golden glow over the island. But then, a shadow loomed over them, darkening the land beneath. The terrified pirates glanced up, their stomachs twisting in fear.
Descending swiftly from the sky was a lone figure with massive black wings spread wide. His body radiated an intense heat, the fire on his back crackling ominously. His crimson-red eyes locked onto his prey with chilling precision.
It was Yami.
In his right hand, he clutched a gleaming iron sword—its shape unmistakable to those from his old world. A Minecraft iron sword. But it was no mere game weapon. Fire coiled around its blade, dancing along the steel like a living entity.
Yami raised his sword, his voice ringing with power.
"Faiasutomu no Ikari!"
With a mighty slash, an inferno erupted from the sword's edge, surging forward like a tidal wave of flames. The firestorm twisted violently, forming a massive tornado of searing heat that swallowed the pirates whole.
Screams of agony tore through the air as the flames consumed them. Within the blazing vortex, sharp slashes of fire carved into their flesh, reducing them to ashes.
Kai, who had somehow managed to avoid the direct attack, collapsed onto the ground, his entire body trembling. His eyes darted around, searching for an escape, but all he could see was fire, destruction, and—
Yami.
The bounty hunter landed gracefully, his wings still extended, his fiery aura casting long, flickering shadows. With the inferno raging behind him, he looked less like a man and more like a demon emerging from the depths of hell.
Kai's breathing hitched as Yami slowly stepped toward him, his crimson gaze devoid of emotion.
"P-please!" Kai begged, his voice breaking. "I-I'll do anything! Just don't—"
His words were cut off as Yami raised his sword and, with a swift motion, ended his life.
The pirate captain's head rolled onto the scorched earth, his lifeless eyes frozen in terror. Yami bent down, grabbing the severed head and placing it into a secured pouch for the bounty.
With the job done, he unfurled his wings once more. His Observation Haki spread across the island, his senses scanning for any remaining life. After a moment, he confirmed—no one else was left.
The fire behind him dimmed, his wings folding neatly against his back as he pulled out a black cloak, draping it over himself to conceal his Lunarian features.
With a small sigh, Yami sheathed his iron sword and reached into his inventory.
A ship materialized before him—unlike anything in this world.
Made entirely of blocky structures, its hull was crafted from perfectly arranged wooden planks, reinforced with iron blocks. Wool sails stood tall, accompanied by strange redstone mechanisms that no one in this world could comprehend.
He stepped aboard, gripping a nearby lever. With a satisfying click, the machinery roared to life, the sound of pistons activating filling the air. The ship lurched forward, its speed outpacing even the fastest vessels on the East Blue.
Unlike traditional ships relying on wind, this one moved through a redstone piston engine. The constant pushing and pulling of pistons created propulsion, driving the boat forward in a smooth yet mechanical motion. A steering wheel—one of the few "normal" ship parts—allowed Yami to control its direction with ease.
As the island disappeared in the distance, Yami gazed at the endless horizon, his expression unreadable.
'Six months…' he thought, his fingers tightening slightly on the wheel. 'It's already been six months since I arrived in this world.'
His initial days had been chaotic—adjusting to this reality, learning the ropes of survival, and most importantly, getting stronger.
Bounty hunting had become his primary method of training and making money. In that time, he had Mastered Armament Haki in its colorless state and was close to coating his armament haki into its black coloured form. Refined his Observation Haki to the point where he could sense an entire SMALL island. Gained control over his Conqueror's Haki, ensuring it no longer flared out uncontrollably.
His Mod powers of the Minecraft fruit had also shown promising growth. While he could create and store items permanently from the mods, the powers of different mods were temporary. If he switched to another mod, he would lose the abilities of the previous one.
For example, if he activated the Avatar mod, he could bend the elements—but once he swapped mods, that power would vanish. However, thanks to his Lunarian lineage, he retained his fire manipulation regardless.
Still, the biggest downside of his fruit was unlocking new mods required mastery. As his mastery increased, more mods will keep getting unlocked. With millions of potential mods out there, his power ceiling was insane—but the road to unlocking them was long.
After some time, the shores of Loguetown came into view.
Yami jumped off the ship, storing it back in his inventory before making his way through the busy streets.
The moment he arrived at the Marine Base, the stationed guards straightened.
"Pirate Slayer Yami, welcome back!" one of them greeted.
He simply nodded.
Over the months, his ruthless efficiency had made him infamous across the East Blue. Pirates feared his name, and the Marines respected him, despite his status as a freelancer.
Approaching the counter, he tossed a small pouch onto the desk.
The marine inside peered in, confirming the severed head before glancing at the bounty poster. Satisfied, he counted the reward and handed Yami two million berries.
With his earnings secured, Yami turned to leave—only to be intercepted.
"Yami!"
A familiar voice called out, stopping him in his tracks.
Turning, he found himself face-to-face with a girl in marine attire—short blue hair, glasses, and a sword at her waist.
Tashigi.
Hands on her hips, she pouted at him. "Why didn't you take me with you this time?!"
Yami sighed. "Because the last time, you nearly got yourself killed."
Tashigi puffed up her cheeks like a hamster. "I need to get stronger! How else am I supposed to take Mihawk's sword, Yoru?!"
Yami sweatdropped. He had met Tashigi early in his bounty hunting days, and she was perhaps the only person he could call a close friend in this world.
'That damn Smoker,' he thought.
Her superior was always busy chasing pirates headed for the Grand Line, often leaving her behind. Since she wanted real combat experience, she occasionally tagged along with Yami.
Of course, she still had no idea he was a Lunarian.
Despite witnessing the bizarre tools he used from his inventory and the other things he did with the blocks, she just… rolled with it.
'She really takes weird things too casually…'
"Fine," Yami relented, reaching forward to pull at her cheeks.
"Ow! What was that for?!" she whined.
"You can come with me tomorrow," he said. "But only if you promise not to fall off the ship this time."
Tashigi's face turned beet red. "T-that was an accident!"
Yami let out a dry chuckle. "An accident that's happened at least fifty times."
"B-Baka!" she huffed, stomping her foot in frustration.
Shaking his head, Yami smiled as they walked out of the base together, bickering like an old couple.
His stomach growled.
"Let's eat," he said, picking up the pace.
"Fine," she grumbled, adjusting her glasses. "But you're paying!"
Yami let out a deep sigh. He really needed to find a better way to spend his money.
