One Piece: The Opening Games Was Recovered by Roger

Chapter 20: Chapter 20: The Battle of Edd War, Shiki’s Shock!

"Dragon-Slaying Secret Art: Crimson Lotus Explosive Flame Blade!"

With a flash, Leo appeared in the middle of the battlefield between the two pirate crews. Flames erupted from both his arms, condensing into two blazing swords. He spun rapidly, unleashing a raging whirlwind of fire that surged toward the Flying Pirate Fleet.

The overwhelming flames descended from the sky, and the scorching heat made Golden Lion Shiki's heart tremble for an instant. But instead of fear, his gaze toward Leo grew more and more excited. He had heard the rumors of the monstrous child on Roger's crew, but witnessing this power firsthand was another matter entirely.

"Raging Sea: Lion's Might—Ocean Surge!"

Shiki raised his hand, and two colossal sea-lion-shaped waves formed beneath Leo. Just as Leo's flames were about to strike, the sea-lions collided violently.

Fire and water clashed, and the extreme heat instantly evaporated the seawater, spreading a massive cloud of steam that enveloped hundreds of meters of sea.

For a brief moment, the Flying Pirate Fleet lost sight of the Oro Jackson. The dense fog caused confusion among their ships, and before any fighting began, two of Shiki's ships crashed into each other and were knocked out of the battle.

The fog only stalled them for a short while. Soon it dispersed, and the Oro Jackson was once again visible. A storm of cannonballs roared toward Roger's ship from all directions, as if they intended to sink it in one massive barrage.

But Leo was not about to let them succeed so easily.

Just as the Flying Pirate Fleet prepared for a second round of bombardment, a massive tree erupted from the wooden deck of one of their ships, smashing the cannons aside.

"Wood Release: Infinite Strangling!"

With a sharp command, countless tree branches shot out, piercing through unsuspecting pirates in an instant. Blood sprayed across the deck, staining it crimson in a matter of moments.

Meanwhile, Roger himself was locked in a fierce clash with Golden Lion Shiki. Their overwhelming Conqueror's Haki collided with such force that the sky split apart. Black and red lightning crackled as storm clouds gathered overhead. The sheer pressure spread outward in a massive shockwave, and the ships closest to them began to crack as if struck by an invisible hammer. Countless ordinary pirates in Shiki's fleet collapsed unconscious under the suffocating weight of their wills.

The Roger Pirates were few in number, but each one was a warrior capable of fighting hundreds. Even among the rare elite who possessed the "kingly disposition" of Conqueror's Haki, Roger's crew had five. And yet, up until now, Leo had still kept his own Conqueror's Haki hidden.

Even the young Shanks had not awakened his Haki yet.

"Damn brat! Die! Flying Sword Thrust!"

Just as Leo boarded one of the enemy ships, a wave of pirates rushed at him, led by a fierce-looking man with a scruffy tea-colored beard and a deep, centipede-like scar running down his rugged face.

Despite his massive build, Tea-Beard was shockingly fast. With a sharp ringing sound, his sword shot forward, piercing straight through Leo's chest as if killing him in a single blow.

"What an idiot… Wood Release: Piercing Prison!"

Leo's mocking voice echoed. In that instant, the figure Tea-Beard stabbed transformed into a block of wood, which clattered to the ground with a dull thud.

In the same moment, wooden spikes erupted from the floor around Tea-Beard, forming a rectangular cage lined with deadly sharp spears pointing inward.

If anyone deserved credit for this move, Leo thought with amusement, it would be Yamato from the world of Naruto—truly the ultimate carpenter ninja.

As a terrifying Wood Release user, instead of fully unleashing his combat potential, Yamato had mostly made his mark rebuilding villages. Truly, he was the perfect "domestic support ninja" for every occasion.

In fact, Leo even mused that in the future, he might not even need shipwrights or craftsmen to build or maintain his pirate ship. With his Wood Release, he could instantly construct a vessel—one so durable that even the legendary Adam Wood wouldn't compare, perhaps even surpassing it in hardness.

In an instant, razor-sharp wooden spears pierced into Tea-Beard's body, blood gushing out wildly. His entire figure looked like a grotesque hedgehog, impaled from head to toe. The sheer brutality of the scene sent chills down the spines of the Flying Pirate crew.

Meanwhile, the appearance of Leo's Wood Release made Golden Lion Shiki's heart tremble violently. He had initially assumed that Leo possessed a Devil Fruit related to flames, but now it was clear that wasn't the case at all.

Shiki couldn't understand it. Why were all of Roger's crew members monsters in human form? If Roger joined him, he could undoubtedly secure the position of the uncontested ruler of the New World!

"Lion's Slash!"

Growing more enraged the more he thought about it, Shiki wrapped his twin blades, Oto and Kogarashi, in Armament Haki. The jet-black swords gleamed with a deadly, cold light as he swung them down, sending intersecting waves of slashing force dozens of meters long straight at Roger.

The sheer pressure from the sword aura churned the sea into towering waves once again. Even the stray shockwaves ripped apart several unfortunate ships in Shiki's own fleet.

"**Hahahaha! Shiki, you haven't improved one bit since all those years ago!" Roger laughed fearlessly. Meeting Shiki's ferocious attack head-on, he raised his blade and countered with his own mighty strike.

"Divine Judgment!"

A single slash tore through the heavens, dimming the sky as if the world itself bowed to its might. A crushing aura blanketed the sea, and the members of the Flying Pirate Fleet felt their bodies sink involuntarily. Looking upward in terror, they swore they saw an incomprehensible, godlike gaze staring down at them.

Roger's eyes then shifted toward Leo, who was fighting with unrelenting ferocity. A flicker of awe flashed in the Pirate King's gaze. Even he could no longer see through this "intern" of his. Time and again, Leo revealed overwhelming strength that defied reason.

Flames, plants… Leo, just what kind of Devil Fruit user are you?!

Unaware of Shiki and Roger's thoughts, Leo was busy slaughtering his way through the enemy fleet like a war god, single-handedly taking down an entire pirate ship.

The Flying Pirate crew members, witnessing the terrifying power hidden within this small frame, were overwhelmed with fear. After their comrades were struck down one after another, their terror deepened.

"W-What kind of monster is this kid?! How can we possibly beat him?! (⊙o⊙)"

"We should retreat! If this keeps up, we'll all be killed!"

"Retreat?! Are you insane?! Lord Shiki is still here! Deserting in battle is a death sentence!"

"Then what do we do?!"

"If we're going to die anyway, we might as well fight to the end!"

"Charge!!"

After a heated argument, the subordinates of the Flying Pirate Fleet hardened their expressions. Fear twisted into desperation, and desperation into madness. They chose to throw everything they had into one final, frenzied assault.
