One Piece: The Strongest Swordsman

Chapter- 72

After walking for a while they entered a big hall before entering that main hall where it was totally darkness nothing else

He looked back towards Robin and told her to stay alert since he could easily tell that there were people in that hall and he could sense no will from them

He is sure from his previous experience they were waiting for them even while he was outside he also sensed some people watching them 

So he is certain these people are some of those people who were watching them before

And if he is not wrong then surely they are waiting for them to come there and from his past experience on alabaster

He can guess that this is probably a trap which is the reason he told her to stay on alert 

She was a little stunned after hearing him as she understood that if he said something like this then surely there was some serious danger ahead 

She immediately raised her guard and looked at the front with caution even though she could see nothing at the front due to pitch black darkness

This scares her more since the light was already very less visible earlier but at least it was somehow it was visible 

Unlike this place which is pitch black and she cannot see a thing which makes her more scared since she is pretty sure that Yoriichi told her to be alert meaning that there is some kind of danger ahead

She is sure that Yoriichi's sight somehow allows him to see in pitch black as well as very far away distances 

 She couldn't help but wonder if that mad doctor was waiting for them ahead since due to what they witnessed in that room, he warned her to stay on alert 

"Welcome! Welcome!" A man speaks up loudly in the dark hall which caught off guard Robin since she feels that the voice of this person is coming from every direction

"Hmph! Even though your luck has stuck with you all this time as a result you managed to come to this place which is not bad for ants like you but now that's the end here" He said this as he looked at them even though it was also totally dark for him

But the man is well prepared as he brought night vision goggles with him since he thought this might be a method to deal with someone like Yoriichi

Due to the fact that this place is basically cut off from the rest of the world, they haven't heard recent news about Yoriichi yet 

While Yoriichi and Robin were outside, people inside this place were monitoring them since they were surprised that someone managed to get there because once in a while some ships always come to this place due to the nature of this area 

This is profitable for them since they always monitor them and play with their lives like some game and then after they have enough fun, they finally add those people with potential into their army and rest for test subjects

They planned to do the same with Yoriichi and Robin after monitoring them for a while they found out that Yoriichi is a skilled swordsman meanwhile they thought of Robin as a beautiful harmless woman

And since this place is cut off from the outside world, they didn't know someone as famous as Yoriichi right now 

This is probably why they take him as some random skilled swordsman and they judge that Yoriichi due to his clothing must belong to the 'Land of Wano'

Even though they might not be well. Up to date with the outside world but still, they are quite knowledgeable about the new world due to the fact that few of them belong there

 Still, they couldn't help but wonder if Yoriichi belonged to the land of Wano and then how he got here since it's a well well-known fact that the land of Wano is completely sealed off from the outside world

They didn't think much as they concluded that Yoriichi must have escaped since from watching him for a while they came to know how skilled he was in swordsmanship

Even so, they didn't take him much seriously since they considered having skilled in swordsmanship not enough here 

Since the zombies of the owner of this place are not enough for him then he finally decides to send out his subordinates to deal with them

One of those subordinates was Dr. Hogback even though on the surface he appeared very respectful but deep inside his heart, he couldn't help but complain about why he needed to deal with such insignificant ants 

Meanwhile, another subordinate was very happy due to the fact he saw a very beautiful woman and was very impatient to go and see her with his own eyes

... 

As a result, they come here meanwhile, Dr Hogback creates a perfect place to kill them both which will be completely dark 

As now he took out a small remote from his pocket and with a creepy smile on his face, pressed one button on the remote

*THUD!*

Immediately after pressing the button on the remote, all gates immediately shut leaving no room for escape since gates are made of very powerful metal, they thought there was no way someone managed to get out of this place 

Unknowingly to them, Yoriichi can destroy those heavy metal doors any time he wants but he doesn't wanna leave Robin alone for a second

Due to this fact, he could sense that one of the people here was targeting Robin and Yoriichi thought if he moved away from her even for a second then surely that person would jump on her

Another thing he found weird is that even though he could see even in complete darkness still he only saw one person meanwhile his other senses told him there was one more person in the hall
