One Piece: Wanted for Having Too Much Fun

"MY HOUSE!" Boodle screamed as he was blown away.

"Ahhhhh!" Lucen woke up in pain. "What the hell was that now?"

Everyone got up. Luffy hurriedly looked at Boodle's house, which was now blown to pieces.

"OH NO! ZORO WAS IN THERE!" Luffy shouted in panic.

Lucen looked at Luffy in confusion. His brain hadn't caught up with what just happened—let alone what was happening.

"That wasn't a nice way to wake someone up," a voice came from within the dust. As it settled, everyone saw Zoro sitting on the ground, surrounded by broken wooden pieces.

"ZORO! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Luffy said excitedly.

"But how are you alive?" Nami asked, questions flooding her head.

"DAMN IT! THOSE BASTARDS! I'M GOING TO STOP THEM!" Boodle shouted angrily, turning to walk toward Buggy's pirate camp.

"STOP! You'll get yourself killed!" Nami yelled, fully aware of how cruel pirates could be.

"Woof! Woof!" Chouchou barked, clearly worried too. After all, Boodle had taken care of him— their bond was no joke.

"I KNOW IT'S RECKLESS!" Boodle suddenly shouted, turning to look at Nami. His tears were clearly visible.

Of course he was scared. He knew how cruel pirates could be. But he was no longer the man who once ran from his village when it was attacked. He was the mayor. This town's mayor.

If he didn't fight for what was precious to him, then what kind of man would he be?

"THIS TOWN'S MY TREASURE!" he roared, then sprinted toward Buggy's camp.

"Shishishi~ that old man's got guts," Luffy said, grinning.

"He sure does," Zoro added, tying on his black bandana.

"You guys—he's going to get himself killed!" Nami said with a worried face.

"Woof! Woof!" Chouchou barked at her.

"He says the old man's fighting for what's precious to him," Luffy translated calmly.

Chouchou knew what it felt like to lose something important. That's why he had defended the pet shop with everything he had.

"Huh? You can actually understand what that dog's saying?" Zoro asked, raising a brow.

"Yep, kinda."

"Woof! Woof!"

"What are you doing?" Zoro turned to Lucen, deadpan.

"I was speaking in dog language. Woof woof," Lucen replied matter-of-factly.

Everyone looked at him like he was an idiot—which he kind of was. Luffy even burst out laughing.

'How can someone this handsome be this idiotic?' Nami wondered.

"Anyway, don't waste time. Let's go," Zoro said, walking ahead and trying his utmost to ignore Lucen.

"Wait, you're still injured!" Nami reminded Zoro.

"It's fine. I'm all healed. That last fight wasn't much... aside from getting injuried," Zoro said with a dangerous glint in his eyes.

"Yeah, right," Nami muttered, clearly not buying it.

They all started walking toward Buggy's camp.

"Woof! Woof!" Chouchou barked again, cheering them on.

"You should get to a safe place, doggy," Lucen said with a smile.

Chouchou barked once in agreement and headed toward where the townspeople had taken refuge.

Nami smiled at the sight. They're really not like normal pirates, she thought.

"Hey, don't call him just 'doggy'—he has a name," Luffy said as they walked.

"Really?"

"Yeah, Chouchou."

At Buggy's Camp

"BUGGY, YOU BASTARD! COME OUT! I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!" Boodle screamed, raising his spear high.

Buggy, who had been lounging, heard the noise and walked out angrily. He looked down from the roof to see an elderly man in a combat suit with a spear.

"Who the hell are you now?" Buggy asked, clearly annoyed. Sure, he had attacked the town, but he didn't go around hunting regular folks. He just wanted treasure.

He was a treasure-hunting pirate, after all. And sure, he'd been an apprentice on the Roger Pirates—but they were more adventurers than pirates. Buggy wasn't quite like them, but he wasn't totally heartless either.

Still, as a pirate, he had to look majestic.

"I'm the mayor of this town! I'm here to protect it!" Boodle declared, raising his spear.

"Buggy, let me handle him," a tall, slender man said. His name was Cabaji, commander of the Buggy Pirates, riding in dramatically on a circus unicycle and pulling a sword from his mouth.

"Shut up! Didn't you hear? He challenged me!" Buggy snapped at Cabaji.

Then Buggy's hand detached and flew toward the shocked Boodle, grabbing him by the neck and lifting him into the air. Boodle gasped for air, kicking his legs and trying to pry the hand off.

But his strength was nowhere near enough. Even the weakest pirate in Buggy's crew was stronger than him.

"GYAAAAA! Who do you think you are?!" Buggy and his crew laughed at the pathetic sight.

Then—Buggy's hand was suddenly grabbed.

"Wha—?" Buggy looked down, only to see Luffy gripping his disembodied hand—just before Lucen snapped it.

"YOU! Why are—cough—why are you here?! Go!" Boodle gasped, still stubborn. "This is my war!"

Luffy looked at the old man... and just as he was about to clobber him—

SMACK!

Lucen beat him to it, delivering a precise karate chop to the back of Boodle's head and knocking him out.

"WAAAHHH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Nami screamed.

Buggy and his crew looked confused too. Weren't these guys with the mayor? A bunch of thieves teaming up with the mayor? Weird... but at least they weren't pirates, right?

"Huh? Me? I was knocking him out before Luffy could smash his head in," Lucen said casually to Nami.

Behind him, Luffy scratched his head and gave a sheepish grin. "You got me~"

"IDIOT! At your strength, you might've killed him!" Lucen said, shaking his head. "Knocking someone out takes precise technique, not brute force."

"Give me back my hands, pretty boy!" Buggy roared.

He tried to recall his hand, but Lucen gripped it so tightly it couldn't move.

Lucen smirked at the struggling hand, an evil glint in his eyes. Then, without hesitation, he stuffed it into his 4D pocket.

Buggy's control immediately snapped.

"AAAHHH! I CAN'T FEEL MY HANDS! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Buggy screamed.

"You BIG NOSE—I'M HERE TO KICK YOUR BUTT!" Luffy suddenly shouted, arms flaring. He was bit frustrated about Lucen taking his limelight.

Nami, Zoro, Buggy, and all of Buggy's crew fell dead silent.

Buggy twitched.

He hated nose jokes.

"FIRE THE BUGGY BALL!"
