One Piece: Wielder of the Void

Chapter 212: 212. Marine's concerns

----

Garp was sitting leisurely, a relaxed and carefree expression on his face. However, when he heard what Sengoku said, his demeanour shifted. He suddenly sat upright, his attention now fully captured.

The name mentioned by Sengoku was indeed familiar to him. Without hesitation, Garp reached for the stack of documents on the table and began skimming through them.

The moment he saw the figure on the first page, his expression spoke volumes.

"I didn't expect it to be him… Why is that guy in the Tru Kingdom? And how did he end up becoming a general there?" Garp asked, disbelief evident in his tone.

Sakazuki (Akainu), standing nearby, interjected, "Who is this person? Why does he surprise you so much?"

Garp let out a deep sigh. "He's an immensely strong man one of the most powerful individuals I've ever encountered. The Marines have extended him countless invitations over the years, but he's always refused. And now, of all places, he chooses to stay in the small Tru Kingdom. I honestly don't know what's going through his mind."

Sengoku, the Fleet Admiral, nodded solemnly. "He's not just strong he's extraordinary. A user of the Gravity-Gravity Fruit, his abilities surpass even that of a Marine Admiral. Dealing with him would be incredibly challenging."

"What's the next move, then? It seems we need to contact King Anos of Tru first," said Tsuru, her voice calm but firm. "At the very least, we need to understand his intentions before deciding how to proceed."

Sengoku considered her words for a moment before replying. "You're right. Our resources are stretched thin across the New World. We can't afford to deploy too many forces to the South Blue. For now, establishing contact with the Tru Kingdom is the only viable option."

Kizaru, his usual indifferent tone intact, commented, "Let's observe the situation carefully. There's no need to rush, after all; their actions might reveal more than we expect."

Aokiji (Kuzan), who had been sitting silently with his eyes closed, added, "Over 50,000 people have already gathered in Tru. It seems their influence is far greater than we anticipated."

The room fell silent as the enormity of the situation settled in. The world was watching the Tru Kingdom closely, and even the Marines felt uneasy about the developments.

Despite this, the kingdom itself remained calm, preparing for a momentous event.

At this moment in the Tru Kingdom, Anos was arriving at the port city of Nanniwa in his royal carriage.

The streets were packed with people so crowded that even the soldiers tasked with maintaining order struggled to keep the pathways clear.

Yet, despite the chaos, the crowd parted just enough to let the procession pass.

Anos, dressed in his most formal attire, exuded regal authority. He wore a bright yellow ceremonial robe over a pristine white shirt, a crown atop his head.

Riding in a gleaming white carriage, his arrival silenced the bustling crowd. Cameras clicked furiously as reporters captured every moment.

Behind him, high-ranking officials of the Tru Kingdom followed, though their presence went largely unnoticed. For the citizens and the watching world, all eyes were on King Anos.

The port had been meticulously prepared for this occasion. A grand stage had been constructed, adorned with twenty elegant chairs for the kingdom's leadership. At the centre was a majestic white throne reserved for Anos himself.

The procession moved forward, the ceremonial cannon firing nine times in salute. Thousands of balloons were released into the sky, a colourful spectacle symbolizing the kingdom's unity and strength.

This event had been in the works for over six months. Every detail had been carefully planned to project the Tru Kingdom's might not just to its citizens but to the foreign powers observing from afar.

This was more than a celebration; it was a declaration of the kingdom's growing influence and military power.

Among the notable figures present was Fujitora, one of the key generals of the Tru Kingdom. His opening speech was highly anticipated.

Another significant presence was Abona, a master swordsman whose skill had grown immensely over the past two years.

Though he had yet to challenge Dracule Mihawk, the world's greatest swordsman, his strength was undeniable.

Regular duels with Fujitora had sharpened his abilities to the point where he was now considered on par with a Marine Admiral.

As the ceremony began, the atmosphere was charged with excitement. The citizens of Tru and the watching world were eager to see what the kingdom had to offer and how its newfound power would shape the future.
