Chapter 158: Chapter 106.2 : Rayleigh!!
"Ian! Where are we going?"
Yamato was excited. She didn't know what Ian was planning to do yet, but her intuition told her it was going to be something very interesting.
"The legendary Amazon Lily."
"Amazon Lily?"
Yamato looked completely confused.
She had never heard of it.
Ian wasn't surprised at all.
This girl is indeed a semi-illiterate.
However, there's still one problem.
Even though I want to go to Amazon Lily, I have no idea where the island is located.
All I know is that it's in the Calm Belt, but I have no idea exactly where in the Calm Belt it is.
Even the Beasts Pirates' intelligence reserves probably don't have information on the location of Amazon Lily.
So, it's time to call for outside help.
Ian took out his transponder snail and dialed a number.
"Click."
A light sound was heard as the call connected.
"Is that you, Ian?"
A familiar, playful voice came from the other end of the line.
"Morgans," Ian said. "Where is Amazon Lily?"
"Oh?"
Ian's acquaintance, Morgans, seemed surprised. "You're going to Amazon Lily too?"
"You said too?" Ian responded.
"Hahaha! The legendary island of women, will it finally meet its end? This is something everyone around the world is paying attention to!"
Well, it's true. What man wouldn't care about such a thing?
Ian's mouth curled into a smile. "What a coincidence."
"Hehehehe, yeah! Such a coincidence!"
Amazon Lily.
Located deep in the Calm Belt, it is an island with a unique geography.
The island is surrounded by dense forests, and at the center of the island is a large circular mountain range. On one side of the mountain, massive cliffs are carved with nine gigantic snake-head sculptures.
Beneath the sculptures, the large, flowing characters "Amazon Lily" can be clearly seen even from several dozen miles away.
Inside the circular mountain, there is a vast plain, dotted with numerous farmlands and some rather modest towns. This is the entirety of the nation of Amazon Lily.
The most distinctive feature is the floating buildings built inside the mountain. They are as amazing as a sky palace.
Above these floating structures, at the peak of the circular mountain, there is a wall, likely constructed for defense against invaders.
And at this moment, on the side of the wall.
"That was fast!"
A woman, around sixty years old, had her hand pressed against the city wall. Though the ravages of time had aged her, her still-beautiful face and unchanging figure gave a glimpse of the stunning beauty she once had in her youth.
A large black-and-white snake coiled at her feet. It seemed to sense its master's anger, as it raised its head and menacingly flicked out a forked scarlet tongue toward the distance.
What made both the woman and her snake so furious was something on the distant sea.
It was a ship.
A Navy warship.
There were five in total. Four of them were large ships with nearly a hundred-meter-long captains, but the central ship was exaggeratedly large—at least three to four hundred meters long!
"This is bad," the woman muttered.
Beside her, a small, elderly woman, leaning on a walking stick made from a snake that had coiled around itself, anxiously mumbled, "This is truly bad news! The Navy is serious now!"
A fleet of this size was, of course, a serious matter!
The Navy was here with the intent to completely annihilate the Kuja Pirates, or rather, the Amazon Lily!
After all, the Kuja Pirates had been active for far too long, and the Navy must have reached its breaking point by now, right?
"Is it really necessary to be this scared, Gloriosa?" the woman asked, her hand extending as the snake coiled at her feet obediently slithered into her grasp, its body tensing and transforming into a spear.
"We've fought the Navy before. If they dare come, we'll wipe them out completely!"
"Foolish! Tritoma!" the old woman, Gloriosa, the former queen of Amazon Lily, cried out, "Even if we manage to repel the Navy once, do you think they will just give up? Next time, it could be Garp! It could be Sengoku!"
The current empress of the Amazon Lily and captain of the Kuja Pirates, Tritoma, showed a slight change in expression.
Gloriosa's voice dropped, sorrow filling her tone as she said, "The moment the Calm Belt's natural barrier was breached by the Seastone' technology, I knew this day would come... but I didn't expect it to come so soon."
The Calm Belt could no longer protect the Amazon Lily.
When the Navy was ready to get serious, they were already without any chance of victory.
Whitebeard, when faced with the Navy's pursuit, would only choose to run, wouldn't he?
And they didn't even have a place to run to.
There was only one ship on the entire Amazon Lily, the ship of the Kuja Pirates, the Perfume Snake which traveled through the Calm Belt with the help of two giant sea serpents.
But with just that one ship, how could it possibly carry all the residents of Amazon Lily to escape?
They could only hold their ground.
"Boom!"
The long spear, transformed from a giant snake, was now pitch black, and as the Empress thrust down with force, it pierced the hard castle wall, creating a hole.
"At this point, crying is useless!"
At her side, Tritoma, who had been the captain of the Kuja Pirates for over twenty years, showed a determined look in her eyes. "Let's first fight back this wave of the Navy, then we'll think of the rest!"
Gloriosa nodded slightly.
Yes, thinking too much now wouldn't be of any use.
Prepare for battle!
Tritoma raised her spear high. "Kuja Pirates! Get ready for battle!"
"Yeah!!"
Behind her, on the castle walls, the strongest forces of Amazon Lily, the pirates of the Kuja Pirates, shouted in unison.
Among these Kuja warriors, there were three sisters who were not very noticeable.
"Big, big sister…"
The two younger sisters, pale and trembling, gripped their older sister's hand. "Is it… to take us back?"
The black-haired eldest sister's eyes also wavered.
However, when she looked at her two younger sisters, the wavering was immediately replaced by firm resolve.
"No one is going to take us back! No one!"
Buzz!
An invisible momentum silently rose.
At the same moment…
On the sea.
On the largest of the Navy warships.
A man wearing a Navy hat and a red suit coldly gazed at the island in the distance.
"Prepare for the attack."
He said in a detached tone.
"Vice-Admiral Sakazuki!"
An officer behind him spoke in surprise, "Shouldn't we communicate first? Maybe we can get the Kuja Pirates to surrender without a fight."
"What's there to talk about with pirates?"
Sakazuki, a Vice-Admiral of the Navy Headquarters and a candidate for Admiral, coldly responded. "All evil must be completely eradicated!"
"Have Doberman lead two ships around the back of Amazon Lily to prevent them from escaping."
"Onigumo and Momonga will come with me and land from the front."
The officer immediately saluted, "Understood!"
The Navy launched their attack.
At the same time.
Not too far from Amazon Lily, in another sea area.
A small boat sped across the sea like an arrow leaving its bow.
On the boat, a man with gold-rimmed glasses rowed with both oars, the speed so fast that the turning oars seemed to form a continuous circle.
"Rayleigh," At the back of the boat, a woman leisurely smoked a cigarette. As the smoke drifted in the air, she casually said, "The situation doesn't look too good."
"This is all Kaido's fault,"
The man, Dark King Rayleigh, sighed while steadily rowing the boat. "If he hadn't sold so many Sea-Prism Stones, none of this would have happened."
"Anyway, we'll deal with this battle first. As for whether it's Garp or Sengoku who shows up next, we'll deal with that later."
The woman was indifferent.
"Hmm?"
Rayleigh suddenly paused.
He raised his head.
Something was descending from the sky.
"I actually think it's not a good idea for you to head directly to Amazon Lily right now, Dark King Rayleigh!"
A cheerful young voice came from above.
Rayleigh pushed up his glasses.
What a coincidence.
