Onboard the ship, Alvida saw her crew couldn't subdue Luffy, so she personally charged at him with her club.

Luffy held his straw hat, saying, "You're right, I ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi.

I'm a Rubber Man." He playfully tugged at his cheek, looking like a lovable oaf.

Ryuya watched Luffy with amusement from afar. Thinking about this being the protagonist of the original story, he couldn't help but chuckle.

So far, he hadn't seen any outstanding qualities in Luffy; he was incredibly single-minded. Perhaps it was the Gomu Gomu no Mi; maybe his brain had turned to rubber too.

Alvida's fleshy face trembled. "I don't care who you are! Die!"

She raised her club. The Noah's Ark was pursuing them; dealing with Luffy quickly was crucial to maintain speed. Before the Ark took action, she had to finish Luffy off quickly!

Luffy smiled as Alvida charged. He said, to himself or Alvida, "I won't die! I'm a pirate! I'll be the Pirate King!" He raised his arms confidently.

"You alone? Don't be ridiculous!"

Alvida swung her club, the sharp wolf teeth gleaming menacingly.

Luffy, with surprising agility, bent his body at an impossible angle, dodging the attack. The club smashed into the ship's railing, creating a huge hole.

Luffy said, "I may be alone now, but I'll find my crewmates. We'll sail this sea together!"

Koby, completely dumbfounded, finally intervened. He couldn't believe this man dared to declare his ambition to become Pirate King in front of everyone! Did he not know who she was?!

Luffy's actions shocked Koby. For the first time, he witnessed someone so full of dreams. His heart stirred.

Koby stepped forward to Luffy's side. This attracted both Luffy and Alvida's attention.

"Koby, what are you doing?!" Alvida asked coldly, her pressure bearing down on Koby.

But remembering Luffy's declaration of his dream, Koby moved. He mimicked Luffy's stance—feet shoulder-width apart, arms raised high—and shouted.

"I don't want to be a pirate! I don't want to be exploited by the ugliest hag on the sea!"

Alvida hadn't taken Koby seriously, but hearing "ugliest hag" enraged her.

"You! What did you say?! I'll give you one more chance! Tell me who I am!"

Her furious roar echoed across the sea, audible even to Ryuya and Kuina.

Kuina gently squeezed Ryuya's shoulder, "Master, who do you think will win?"

"Alvida. The overall quality of pirates is rising. Alvida, with years of experience, is stronger than those two, barring any unforeseen circumstances."

"What do you mean?" Kuina didn't understand. Could something unexpected happen?

"Just watch." Ryuya wanted to see how Luffy's "protagonist aura" would manifest.

Alvida's roar terrified Koby, who trembled like a chick about to be slaughtered.

"Say what you want! On this sea, be yourself! Pirates are free! If you can't even say what you want, why bother sailing?!"

Koby felt calmer. "You're right! You're the ugliest hag on this sea!"

He felt relieved, but before he could relax, Alvida charged at Luffy and Koby. Her massive body shook as she swung her club with furious intent.

Luffy's heart sank. "This is my first battle at sea. I won't lose!"

He positioned his hands, muttering, "Gomu Gomu no Pistol!"

He used the recoil of his stretching arm to attack Alvida.

Bang! Luffy's fist connected, but Alvida's fat jiggled. It only slightly slowed her down.

Luffy exclaimed, "Impossible!"
