With unshakable willpower, Luffy bursts through every obstacle and finally reaches Ace—at the cost of 20 years of his life.

The sight of a mere rookie receiving the full support of countless powerhouses and breaking through to the heart of the battle enrages Sengoku. His fury overtakes reason.

A radiant golden light erupts around him.

"I'll execute all of you—right here, right now!"

Sengoku's body, already extraordinary, expands massively under the power of the Buddha Fruit. In an instant, he transforms into a towering, golden Buddha, exuding overwhelming divine might.

With arms like great pillars, he swings down with devastating force toward the two brothers.

"Gomu Gomu no... Balloon!"

Even before the massive fist makes contact, Luffy feels the pressure—violent wind howling toward them, threatening to hurl them off the execution platform.

Facing this godlike strike, Luffy exhales sharply, then inhales furiously.

Thanks to his rubber body, the air inflates him rapidly. In a heartbeat, he swells into a balloon even larger than the execution stand.

BOOM!

The giant Buddha fist crashes into the balloon, denting it deeply. The impact is buffered, its force steadily absorbed. But the pressure is immense.

Luffy is flattened like a cushion under the impact, blood spilling from his mouth as he wheezes out the compressed air.

He knows one thing for sure—he won't survive another punch like that.

Desperately, he searches his pocket.

"The key...!"

But in his panic, now fully ballooned, the key must've fallen out!

From below, Kizaru fires a laser beam at the fallen key—obliterating it in a flash.

As Luffy scrambles in panic, Sengoku retracts his golden arm, charging up for another strike meant to end them both.

Suddenly—

"Over here!"

It's Mr. 3—disguised as a Marine! Using his Wax-Wax powers, he crafts a perfect replica of the key and tosses it to Luffy.

Luffy catches it midair, quickly unlocking Ace's Sea Prism Stone cuffs.

But Sengoku is already swinging again.

The air trembles.

BOOM!!

Just as the shackles come off, the execution platform is obliterated by a second earth-shaking blow. Wood and stone fly apart. The shockwave ripples through the sky.

As the dust clears, two figures emerge from the debris—Ace and Luffy, standing back-to-back, ready for battle.

"Let's show them what we've got, Luffy!"

"Yeah! Let's go!"

Their presence surges like a flame. Marines swarm in, dozens of rifles raised.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A hail of gunfire follows.

Ace immediately turns to flames—bullets pass harmlessly through his body, leaving fiery craters in the ground.

Luffy, meanwhile, deflects bullets with his rubber body, sending them ricocheting back into the ranks of Marines.

"Take them out!"

Two Marines vanish with Soru and reappear on either side of Luffy, blades drawn.

Ace reacts in a flash, flipping through the air and tackling Luffy to the ground. The blades slash harmlessly through his flaming body.

"Fire Fist!"

With Luffy's help, Ace catapults himself into the air, flames gathering at his fist. He punches forward, unleashing a towering inferno that incinerates everything in its path.

Dozens of Marines are turned to ash in the blast. But more keep coming.

Still, the brothers don't flinch.

"Fire Fist!"

"Gear Second! Gomu Gomu no... Jet Gatling!"

Ace released Flames into the crowd—each exploding into bursts of flame that engulf enemies in searing heat.

At the same time, Luffy unleashes a flurry of high-speed punches, scattering the Marines like leaves in a storm.

Their flawless coordination stuns the battlefield. For a moment, the Navy hesitates.

Seizing the chance, Ace and Luffy dash toward the rear of the battlefield.

"Gururara..."

Whitebeard, having recovered slightly, sees the escape. Inspired by Luffy's courage, he raises his mighty naginata and strikes the earth with all his strength.

CRACK!

A wave of destruction surges forward. The very island begins to split apart. Marines scream as the ground opens beneath them.

Whitebeard stands between his sons and the entire Marine force, holding off the Navy alone.

As Ace and Luffy flee, the air suddenly grows hotter.

"Running away again, brats?"

From above, Admiral Akainu soars across a molten ravine, spewing magma in his wake. He burns through allies and enemies alike, his wrath aimed squarely at Ace and Luffy.

"The sons of a failure... You're just like your old man."

The insult stops Ace in his tracks.

He turns, fury in his eyes.

"You're not allowed to insult Pops!"

Akainu grins coldly. He's baited him perfectly.

"Come then, show me your justice."

The magma on Akainu's arm flares to life. Lava churns like a volcano ready to erupt.

"You die here!"

Akainu slams his molten fist toward Luffy. Ace reacts instantly, pushing his brother out of harm's way and turning into fire to dodge.

But even in flame form, the heat sears him—leaving a blackened burn trailing smoke.

Akainu swings again—this time, straight at Luffy.

"Ace!!"

Without a second thought, Ace throws himself between them, shielding Luffy with his body.

The magma fist plunges straight through Ace's chest.

Luffy screams as Ace staggers, the searing wound smoking from within.

There's no time to react. The gap in strength is too vast.

This is the price of love.

"Ace!!!"
