Chapter 13: Chapter 12
Susanoo loomed over the battlefield, its massive form cast in an ominous glow of cold, dark chakra.
With four arms swinging like unstoppable torrents of steel, the skeletal giant resembled a demonic Shura risen from the depths of Hades.
Boom!
Each colossal strike obliterated the ground, crushing Navy soldiers into mangled heaps. In mere moments, the harbor was painted in blood and carnage. Dismembered limbs and shattered weapons littered the ground, the anguished screams of the dying fading into silence.
Ghost Spider stood paralyzed, his body trembling as the overwhelming scene unfolded before him. He had narrowly evaded death using the Navy's Six Styles, but it was a hollow survival. His face was pale as ash, his lips dry, and his breath shallow.
"This… this is no ordinary power," he muttered hoarsely, swallowing hard. The once-proud Vice Admiral felt like an insect beneath a god's heel. It wasn't just fear—it was utter insignificance, as though he had been reduced to nothing in the presence of Uchiha Madara.
He could barely lift his gaze to meet the crimson glare of the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. The weight of Madara's gaze alone felt suffocating, stealing the air from his lungs.
"You speak of protecting justice," Madara said coldly, his voice resonating like a tolling bell. "But justice means nothing when wielded by weaklings like you."
His words carried a disdain so absolute that it struck harder than any blow. From anyone else, such words might seem arrogant, but from Uchiha Madara, they were simply fact.
As the man who once stood atop the ninja world, Madara carried a power that made all others seem irrelevant.
"W-Who… who are you?" Ghost Spider stammered, his voice cracking under the weight of his terror.
Madara folded his arms across his chest, his posture exuding unshakable confidence. "My name is Uchiha Madara," he declared, the name itself carrying an oppressive power.
Ghost Spider's mind raced, desperation clawing at the edges of his sanity. "With such strength… why don't you consider joining the Navy?" he said, clinging to the faintest hope of survival.
The suggestion earned nothing but a cold glare.
"I have no interest in associating with trash," Madara replied, his words cutting off any chance of negotiation.
Boom!
As Madara raised his arm, Susanoo mirrored his motion. One of its massive, glowing arms reared back, dark chakra radiating with deadly intent. The air grew thick with the energy, pressing down on Ghost Spider like the weight of a collapsing mountain.
"Six Styles: Shave!"
In a final act of desperation, Ghost Spider attempted to flee. His body blurred as he activated his high-speed movement technique, but he found himself rooted in place. The sheer pressure of Susanoo's chakra had rendered him immobile, as though he were trapped in an invisible prison.
Despair engulfed him.
Faced with Madara's ultimate power, the once-mighty Vice Admiral closed his eyes and waited for death.
Boom!
Susanoo's arm descended like a divine hammer, obliterating everything in its path. Ghost Spider's body was reduced to a fine red mist, scattered to the wind before he could even scream.
Watching from the sidelines, Leon let out a low whistle. "Uchiha Madara's rage… it's truly something else," he murmured, a mix of awe and amusement in his tone.
He gave a small, approving nod as he observed Madara. "The power of the Six Paths… truly unparalleled. Even the aura alone makes him feel untouchable."
As the battlefield fell silent, the once-mighty Navy encirclement lay in ruins, crushed in mere moments by the overwhelming might of Madara's Susanoo.
Madara stepped down as the chakra dissipated, and Susanoo faded into nothingness. Returning to his usual cold, composed demeanor, he glanced at Leon.
Leon smirked. "With Ghost Spider gone, news of this will spread like wildfire. The Navy Headquarters won't be able to ignore it." He paused, an anticipatory glint in his eye. "Ban, let's leave this island. It's time to cross the Upside-Down Mountain and head for the Grand Line."
Madara's gaze flickered, betraying a hint of interest. "The Grand Line?"
Leon caught the shift in his expression and grinned. "You'll like it there. It's a stage worthy of your power."
Without another word, the two boarded their ship, leaving behind a harbor soaked in blood and broken pride.
Three days later, Marine Headquarters, Marineford
The air in the massive Marshal's office was heavy with tension. The death of Vice Admiral Ghost Spider had shaken the entire Navy Headquarters, and the weight of the news hung over everyone like a storm cloud.
Steel Bone Kong sat behind his desk, his expression grim as he stared down at the report. Even the normally steadfast leader seemed worn, his graying hair a testament to the stress of recent events.
"I never imagined there were two monsters lurking in the North Sea," he muttered, extinguishing his cigar in frustration. Despite his precautions, the Navy had grossly underestimated the strength of their opponents.
To lose someone like Ghost Spider so swiftly… it was almost unthinkable.
"Marshal Kong, you look too tense. Relax a little!" Garp lounged in a chair nearby, casually munching on a senbei as if the crisis didn't concern him.
Kong glared at him. "Garp! This isn't the time for jokes!"
"Even Spider Demon couldn't handle them," Kong continued, his voice dark with anger. "Where did these two monsters come from?"
Vice Admiral Tsuru stepped forward, her calm yet serious tone cutting through the tension. "Regardless of their origins, they've become an undeniable threat. Killing Simmons and Ghost Spider has made them the Navy's top priority."
She paused, her expression grim. "If they've already displayed power on par with an admiral in the North Sea, their entry into the Grand Line will introduce a dangerous new variable."
Kong clenched his fists, frustration etched into every line of his face. "We can't let this go unanswered. They must be stopped."
"What's their bounty going to be?" Garp asked, crunching on another senbei.
"Based on their strength… it'll have to be high enough to reflect the danger they pose," Tsuru replied, her voice heavy.
Kong nodded. He had already made up his mind.
"They've made their move. Now it's our turn. Let the world know we'll stop at nothing to bring them to justice."
