Chapter 470: The Overlord’s Plan, Negotiation
As Overlord's words fell, the hall was plunged into complete silence.
Everyone furrowed their brows, their expressions filled with wariness. While they were all Emperor-level powerhouses, none of them dared to stand against the Church of Light.
Void Emperor was the first to speak, "Lord Overlord, since we know that this is the Church of Light's plot, should we still participate in this Heaven God Stele enlightenment?"
"Yes," Overlord nodded. "This time, the appearance of the Heaven God Stele is highly abnormal. I can sense that if we miss this opportunity, it may take ten thousand years before the Heaven God Stele appears again. This may be our last chance to escape this place."
"Ten thousand years!" Several of them exclaimed, their faces growing serious.
Ten thousand years may not seem long to Emperor-level powerhouses, but in the Realm of Chaos, such a span of time could bring about many changes, and they dared not gamble with it.
"Overlord, do you have confidence?" A cold voice sounded. It was Merciless Emperor, slowly speaking.
It seemed that she was already aware of Overlord's plan.
Everyone turned their gaze toward him, awaiting his response.
Overlord's expression grew serious as he pondered for a moment before answering, "Fifty percent. My strength has increased, and if the Heaven God Stele's enlightenment goes smoothly, it should be enough to break the chains of the Realm of Chaos. Of course, the premise is that the Church of Light and Celestial Vault don't interfere."
The others fell silent. They were certain that the Church of Light and Celestial Vault would indeed cause trouble.
In previous instances of the Heaven God Stele's appearance, these two forces had constantly obstructed them, causing the loss of many nine-star powerhouses, and even two Emperors had fallen as a result.
Merciless Emperor spoke again, "As long as the Church of Light and Celestial Vault do not cooperate, I can hold them off."
She was strong enough not to fear Anixegon or Celestial Vault, and even if the two joined forces, she would still be able to fight them.
Her concern, however, was that Anixegon and Celestial Vault might have some other hidden plan.
Chaos Emperor spoke, "With Merciless Empress taking action and our twenty-plus Emperors joining forces, no matter what their schemes are, we will not fear them."
The others nodded in agreement.
"Lord, there's one more thing," Demon Emperor spoke up. "Even if we manage to escape the Realm of Chaos, the powerful beings outside will not let us off. Our chances of survival will be slim."
The others furrowed their brows, concern evident in their expressions.
The reason they were exiled to this place was because they had resisted the Heaven. If they escaped, the Creator God-level beings would certainly take action, and they would undoubtedly perish.
If that were the case, they would prefer to stay in the Realm of Chaos.
Overlord's expression remained calm as he spoke, "Do not worry. I have already prepared a way out. Once we escape from here, we will head to the Original Universe. There, special powers are in place to protect us, and the Creator God will be unable to descend."
John was taken aback. He now understood why Overlord had invited him to this meeting. It wasn't because of his innate abilities, but because Overlord wanted to enter the star domain he had come from earlier.
"Initial World!" Several people exclaimed, their eyes widening in surprise, their expressions filled with greed.
Clearly, they all knew how special the Initial World was.
If they could refine the Initial World, they would leap into becoming Creator God-level powerhouses, no longer fearing the Heaven.
"My lord, do you know how to enter the Initial World?" one person asked with confusion.
Among these Emperor-level powerhouses, only Nine Phoenix and a few others knew about John's origins.
It seemed that Overlord had also learned about his background.
"This will be troublesome for John," Overlord said, his gaze intensifying as he looked at John.
"This kid is from the Initial World?" The others finally reacted, their faces filled with surprise.
Especially Demon Emperor and Void Emperor, whose eyes were now fixed on him with clear intentions.
No wonder Celestial Vault had been targeting this human; it was for this very reason.
"Impossible. If this human is from the Initial World, why was he exiled here?" someone questioned with doubt.
John furrowed his brows but didn't answer. Instead, he turned to Overlord and said, "Senior, I don't know how to return to the Initial World."
This was the truth. He had been exiled here, traveling through endless spatial tunnels, with no idea how to go back.
Overlord spoke, "I have a way to help you sense that star domain, to reopen the spatial tunnel and return to it."
Upon hearing this, everyone's eyes burned with intensity, even carrying a hint of threat.
If John refused, they would not hesitate to use force to coerce him.
John frowned. He understood their intentions perfectly: they wanted to refine the Initial World.
He would never allow them to do that.
Staring directly at Overlord, John said, "I can agree to your request, but you must ensure that none of them lay a hand on the Initial World, including you!"
"You brat, what kind of attitude is that?"
"Hmph, a mere nine-star ant dares to defy us. Do you want to die?"
"You have no room to negotiate. Obey, or die!"
…
The others began to shout, their glares cold and malicious.
Nine Phoenix and the others immediately stood up and positioned themselves in front of John, glaring at the crowd.
"Silence!" Overlord bellowed, and the room fell into silence. No one dared to make a move, though their eyes still burned with greed as they stared at John.
He looked at John and reassured him, "I can agree to your request. And as you can see, my World-in-Hand is already fully formed, and the Initial World holds no allure for me."
Upon hearing his words, the others' eyes flickered, their thoughts diverging.
The temptation of the Initial World was too great. If they could fuse with it and become Creator Gods, would they still fear Overlord?
"Money is the root of all evil, and birds die for food." The temptation was so enormous that they had decided to take the risk.
John furrowed his brows, fully aware of their reactions.

Moreover, he didn't believe Overlord's words at all.
He didn't know what the true secret of the Initial World was, but even Creator Gods were tempted. He didn't believe for a second that Overlord wasn't tempted as well.
But now, given his situation, he probably had no choice but to agree.
After thinking for a while, he looked at Overlord and spoke, "I have one more condition. I want all the Heart of the Continent you possess, whether they are complete or not. Otherwise, even if I die, I won't help you."
He spoke with unwavering conviction, his tone resolute.
To enter the Initial World, he needed the strength to intimidate these people.
Becoming an Emperor-level powerhouse was temporarily impossible, but the only way to gain enough power was to advance to The Overseer level and enhance his World-in-Hand.
These Emperors certainly had many Heart of the Continent. If he could raise his The Overseer rank to eight stars, he would no longer fear these people.
At that point, even if they harbored ill intentions, he would have the power to stop them.
"Presumptuous! You think you have the right to demand our resources?"
"You brat, do you have the qualifications to negotiate with us? Either shut up and obey, or die!"
The crowd roared in anger, all eyes turning toward John, their intentions clearly hostile.
John watched the scene coldly, not the slightest hint of fear in his eyes.
Their intentions were clear—they wanted to carve up the Initial World for themselves.
He was just a lamb to the slaughter, and the only bargaining chip he had was the channel to the Initial World. He couldn't afford to back down.
Overlord frowned, his expression shifting from friendly to displeased. He could sense that John was wary of him.
"Enough!" he shouted angrily, silencing the crowd. His expression was no longer as amiable as before.
He turned to John and spoke, "Fine, we'll each give you one thousand Heart of the Continent. That's a huge fortune for you."
Hearing Overlord's words, the others felt reluctant, but none dared to voice their objections.
John remained silent. One thousand Heart of the Continent from each person—over twenty people—that made more than twenty thousand. He was indeed tempted.
But John didn't rush to agree right away. Instead, he turned to Nine Phoenix and the others, lowering his voice as he asked, "Seniors, how many Heart of the Continent do you have?"
"Well..." Nine Phoenix hesitated, glancing at Overlord before speaking, "There are about thirteen thousand or so, but only a little over two hundred complete Heart of the Continent."
Although she lowered her voice, everyone in the room, all Emperor-level powerhouses, heard it clearly.
Her words were clearly a challenge to Overlord.
Chaos, however, didn't seem bothered. He spoke up, "I have more—around fifteen thousand."
"John, I have over seven thousand," Heavenly King also quickly added.
Heavenly King had only recently ascended to Emperor rank, having previously been one of the Seven Great Kings. To have over seven thousand Heart of the Continent now already put him far ahead of the other Seven Kings.
John was shocked. He hadn't realized that Emperor-level powerhouses would have so many Heart of the Continent.
Each one of those Heart of the Continent represented a planet. He couldn't even begin to imagine how many planets they must have destroyed to gather so many.
His expression remained calm as he turned to Overlord and said, "My conditions are as follows: For each one-star early-stage Emperor, ten thousand Heart of the Continent; for each one-star mid-stage, twenty thousand; for each one-star late-stage, fifty thousand; and for you and the Cold-Blooded Emperor, one hundred thousand each."
"Preposterous!" Demon Emperor roared, the first to step forward. He glared coldly at John and said, "Brat, do you really think we won't take action against you?"
"Hmph, you can try," John replied with a calm expression, not the slightest hint of fear in his eyes.
Demon Emperor's face darkened. He glanced at Overlord, and seeing that the latter made no move to stop him, he relaxed.
"I'm curious to see where your courage comes from," he sneered, raising his black spear. The power of both light and darkness surged within it as he unleashed an attack, sending a fierce killing blow straight at John.
"You dare!" Nine Phoenix, Chaos, and Heavenly King immediately stood in front of John without hesitation.
"Leave it to me," John said, stopping them with a calm voice.
Back in Dark City, he had already been unafraid of this opponent. Now that he had broken through to the nine-star level, his strength had grown exponentially, and he was even less afraid.
Whoosh!
A violent gust of wind howled, and a powerful aura spread through the air. He activated Heaven and Earth Transformation, instantly transforming into a towering giant of immense height.
Buzz!
A massive force surged, and from it, the Immortal's giant sword and Law Tree were summoned, wielding overwhelming momentum as they crashed toward Demon Emperor.
Overlord furrowed his brows and quickly acted to stabilize the surrounding space.
Boom!
A deafening sound reverberated as the terrifying force surged, and the surrounding Emperor-level powerhouses retreated one after another.
Both John and Demon Emperor were sent flying by the shockwave.
Only the one-star late-stage Emperor remained unaffected.
With Overlord intervening, the surrounding space only slightly trembled, without shattering.
John was stunned. This old man's strength was even greater than he had imagined.
