Chapter 13: Chapter 13 It's outrageous
The next morning, Agarth woke up to a loud noise.
All I could hear was Kaka's shrill voice quarreling with a cat next to my ear.
"Smelly cat! Come down now!"
"Meow! Meow!"
"You are too dirty, get down quickly! The little master will be angry if he sees you!" Kaka raised his fingertips, threatening Wenchet, who was lying on Agarth's hair with his whole body covered in dirt.
When Wenchet heard Kaka's words, a hint of cunning flashed in his eyes. Under Kaka's gaze, he deliberately rubbed Agarth's face again, licked it, and then meowed at Kaka.
"Stinky cat!!"
"Okay, okay, Kaka." Agarth just woke up and saw this scene. He could only sigh, dissuade Kaka for a while, and then touched Wenchet's head.
"Winchet, are you all right?"
"Meow~" Wenchet squinted his eyes because of Agarth's touch. He turned over, spread out his belly, rubbed his head against Agarth's palm, and used his little paws to ask Agarth to touch his belly.
"Haha, little guy." Agarth picked up Wenchet and got out of bed.
"Kaka, is there anything to eat? I'm hungry." Agarth looked at Kaka, who was about the same height as him.
"Young master, please go to the living room quickly. Mr. and Mrs. Scamander are waiting for you." Kaka handed Agarth a coat and put it on him.
Agarth nodded, ran to the bathroom nearby and quickly washed up before leaving the room.
"Grandma Tina, Mr. Scamander! Good morning!" Agarth ran to Tina who was sitting at the dining table, threw himself into her arms and rubbed against her, then raised his head and greeted her with a smile.
"Agarth, good morning. Come on, you must be hungry. Eat something." Tina picked up Agarth's small body and put it on a chair beside her.
"Agarth, you call Tina grandma, but you call me Mr. Scamander. You know, I knew you before Tina." Newt pretended to be angry and handed Agarth a knife and fork.
"You can call him Newt, he won't mind," Tina added.
Agarth touched his suddenly itchy neck and replied with a grin, "Okay, Grandpa Newt."
"Agarth, the magic in your body." Newt ate the bread in his mouth, hesitated for a moment, and looked at Agarth and said seriously: "I'm not sure if I can help you solve the magic in your body, but don't worry, since I have accepted the gift from your family, I will definitely do my best to help you."
"It's okay, Grandpa Newt." Agarth took a big bite of food without caring. He really didn't care about the magic riot in his body. After all, as long as he didn't die, it didn't matter if he was a squib. We are big modern people, so what can't we do? Besides, in another 40 or 50 years, in the era of rapid development of the Internet, it is still a question whether wizards can still hide.
However, Agarth's indifferent attitude at this time made Newt and Tina misunderstand. They just thought that this child, at such a young age, was indifferent to life and death and had no attachment to life.
Tina glared at Newt. This old guy had gotten older, but his emotional intelligence hadn't improved at all.
Newt gagged and dodged.
"Grandma Tina, my neck is itchy!" Agarth suddenly felt that his neck was so itchy that he couldn't stand it. He stretched out his little hand to scratch it, and then he couldn't help complaining to Tina beside him.
"Let me see." Tina looked at her neck which had been scratched red by Agarth, and found that there were suddenly dense and fine hairs on Agarth's neck.
"What is this?!" Newt exclaimed. The hairs were clearly visible, and the roots where they connected to the skin were slightly white, making them look like the feathers of a newly hatched thunderbird.
"Agarth, the thunderbird in the box you mentioned, its tribe is near your home?" Newt thought of the thunderbird he had just captured the day before yesterday, and remembered what Kaka said last night, that Agarth was born from a lifeless egg. He wondered if the source of Agarth's powerful magic was because the egg was a thunderbird egg, and thus he inherited the abilities of magical animals.
After all, it is not easy to find a ptarmigan egg. Ptarmigans are social animals, and solitary eggs are even rarer.
"Although it's near my home, it's still quite far away." Agarth nodded. He stretched out his little hand and kept scratching his neck. It was so itchy, as if the skin was expanding inch by inch, but it wasn't painful, just an unbearable itch.
"Okay, stop scratching, just bear with it." Newt reached out and touched Agarth's neck. He immediately felt a slight tingling sensation on his fingers, but Agarth's tender little hand seemed to feel nothing at all.
"It's good for you. It's not that easy for others to learn Animagus. I think I can guess why your body is so small, but your magic is so strong." Newt pinched Agarth's face and said something irrelevant.
"Huh? What is that?" Agarth hurriedly grabbed Newt. After all, he was at least 1.8 meters tall in his previous life. But in this life, he was eight years old and still less than 1 meter tall. It was really outrageous.
"Do you know the infancy of some animals?" Newt returned to his seat and continued with his unfinished breakfast.
"For young animals, the magic power in their bodies will continue to grow over time. At the same time, the increasing magic power will also refine their bodies, allowing their bodies to gradually adapt to the magic power in their bodies. This is why some magical animals shed their feathers, and the new feathers actually represent that their bodies have entered the next stage of growth."
Newt said, handing Agarth a mirror and motioning Agarth to look at his neck.
"You only feel your neck itchy, but when I touched you just now, I felt the feathers on your body prick my hand. Look carefully and see if there are any feathers growing out."
Upon hearing this, Agarth held the mirror against his neck. As Agarth breathed, he could vaguely see some tiny hairs floating.
"Does this, does this, does that mean that I will become an animal instead of a human?" Agarth asked anxiously.
"No, on the contrary. Have you heard of Animagus?" Newt shook his head. For a moment, he didn't know whether he should envy the boy's good luck or feel sad for his miserable growth period in the future.
Agarth nodded. Animagus, everyone knows this. Anyone who has read the original novel would want to rub the older cat lady, Professor McGonagall, one of the seven Animagus existing in this century.
"The conditions for a wizard to become an Animagus are extremely harsh, but you, Agarth, you are born an Natural Animagus."
