Chapter 207: 184. Enlightenment of the Moon_2

Everything was already prepared; all that was missing was the final placement of the Ark Navigator.

And Sidwell was the planned Navigator.

The queen's power was too closely tied to the Moon World; everyone else could leave, but she alone could not. Her fate was destined to be a collective burial with this Moon World.

Thus, she needed an heir, and that led to the birth of Sidwell.

The reason the queen did not personally raise her daughter was also guided by fate.

The inheritance of successive Queens of the Moon was to connect with the Power of the Moon, thereby borrowing the Power of the World to glimpse into the Power of Fate.

Especially this generation's queen, who had an unprecedented understanding of fate, had been titled Destiny's Lunar Trajectory.

However, now that the Moon World was about to be destroyed, the so-called inheritance of the Queen of the Moon naturally lost its significance. Therefore, the queen did not keep Sidwell by her side but attempted to set her on a different path: that of the legendary Savior Hero in the Moon Rabbit tales—the Moonlit Lionheart Rabbit's inheritance.

But as one can tell from the name Moonlit Lionheart Rabbit, two factors are needed to complete the evolution: sufficient Power of the Moon, and a heart like that of a lion.

Not to worry about the Power of the Moon; though the world is nearing destruction, a dying camel is still larger than a horse. Even a dying world's remaining strength is terrifying for a single biological entity, enough to complete the baptism of the evolutionary ritual.

However, cultivating a lion-like heart is a bit more challenging. If the queen chose to keep her daughter by her side and raise her into a princess, it would be easy, but there would be little hope of nurturing a little lion.

So, under the guidance of fate, the queen chose to send her daughter away from her side painfully and set many trials in her life, all to temper that lionheart.

But, by the time the story reached this point, Sidwell was already beyond furious. She reflected on her childhood, which was simply too tragic to describe.

An orphan's beginning, tormented by other children in the orphanage from a young age, with orphanage staff consisting of a bunch of perverts; after she finally subdued the orphanage and became the boss, driving away those perverted staff, preparing to enjoy better days, it turns out the orphanage that adopted her had problems and was about to close down.

So, she was forced to enter society early on, only to be met with society's harsh beatings.

However, Sidwell wasn't surprised by this; after all, she was born unlucky, plagued by misfortune, never encountering anything that went her way. She had grown used to it, hence she was fearless. Her heart's goal was always clear; she was determined to become a powerful Knight of the Moon.

Though in the strict hierarchy of the Moon Rabbit Society, where a lowly Person of the Moon daring to aspire to become a Knight of the Moon was very difficult, practically impossible, she faced much ridicule and humiliation along the way, but ultimately she overcame these difficulties one by one.

After much peril, she managed to get her hands on the Genetic Adjustment Potion and with great effort obtained the infusion of Combat Skills from the black market....

And now, she had finally overcome all the hardships, about to achieve her life's goal, ready to relish the joy of success, only to be told now that everything was a preset script?

In that moment, all past skills flashed through Sidwell's mind, nearly driving her to collapse. She remembered the exaggerated faces of those companions at the orphanage, the canned dialogues of those who mocked her along the way, her somewhat absurd misfortunes, the coincidences that felt just right in each adventure....

The details she hadn't paid much attention to before became especially clear now, and especially cold.

Yes, her entire past, her whole life, had been orchestrated by someone. Her achievements now also felt meaningless, since they were all part of the script.

Her life was insignificant, just as ridiculous as a Clown's....

Even though she knew the queen in front of her was her mother, she still felt a murderous impulse to draw her sword and slash.

But the queen before her looked at her calmly, even taking the initiative to hand her a sword.

After all, a young Lionheart always ascends to the throne over the blood of an old one; the queen, whose time was already limited, was happy to be that sacrifice.

However, how could Sidwell possibly let her have her way? She furiously tossed the Queen's Sword far away, then plunged headfirst into the not yet ready evolution ritual of the Moonlit Lionheart Rabbit.

At that moment, she actually sought death, to end this tragic life.

But, as death truly approached, as the overbearing Power of the Moon was forcefully pumped into her, wreaking havoc on her body, Sidwell still grew frightened. She instinctively resisted death, her will to live skyrocketing.

She began to regret her weakness in attempting suicide. If she was dissatisfied with the arrangement, she should have resisted. The past she lost couldn't be changed, but she was supposed to be able to take charge of her future.

Yes, the future. She was only fifteen years old. She'd wasted the past fifteen years, but she still had a much longer future ahead of her.

And even though her past life was scripted, others could only arrange the trajectory of her life. Her dreams, her insights, and the belief and sweat she put into fighting for those dreams were all real and true.
