Chapter 5 – Cute girls can be ccary sometimes
As the oversized key reached the glowing body of Rider, an extremely blinding light erupted, beginning to spread in every direction. However, the key seemed to be doing its best to break through the defense of the Noble Phantasm that Rider had summoned, but it stopped halfway. The defense of the NP was too strong for a mere large key to break through, resulting in a stalemate. On the other hand, Abby had never intended to break through the defense in the first place.
Her goal wasn't the teenager's death—no, not yet. What she wanted was something else: fear.Because for her next objective—the location of his team's base—she needed exactly that to extract it from him.
At that moment, I still didn't know what Abigail was planning, but I was pretty sure that, whatever it was, I would be interested in it.
We just stood there and watched the key as it now remained still. As Abby descended from the air, I stood beside her again, fully aware that no matter how cute Rider looked, things could still get dangerous.
The defense was too strong, causing the key to gradually lose its glow and become duller and duller until Abigail flicked with her right hand.
The key immediately intensified in brightness before suddenly shattering with a loud peng into hundreds of tiny creatures. These creatures were Abigail's infamous butterflies, magical beings she created using her Magecraft to fight for her or handle various tasks.
A loud explosion followed as the key dispersed, and everything the butterflies touched detonated. The surroundings looked like a wasteland now, and even Rider's "impenetrable" shield had a thick crack, ultimately leading to it shattering with a sound like breaking glass.
The teenager and the two creatures were sent flying backwards, crashing into a house wall where they remained injured for the moment.Meanwhile, the remaining butterflies returned to Abigail, and most of them transformed back into violet-black energy streaks near her, which she reabsorbed.
As I looked at the destruction around us, it finally became clear to me what Abigail was truly capable of and just how incredibly powerful she could actually be.With just a few hundred tiny butterflies, she had leveled several streets and a handful of houses.
Fascinated by her strength, I instinctively reached out and patted Abigail's head. She seemed to like it, not only did she not resist, but she even leaned further into my hand.
How can someone be so terrifying and cute at the same time? I wondered as I watched the blonde bundle of energy happily skip toward the injured boy and his Servant after receiving her head pats.
Up close, these two creatures seemed very familiar to me. After giving Abby a questioning look, which she answered with a nod, I was sure.
"Don't pretend to be unconscious, kid. I know Rider still has more defense-based abilities.""Or should I rather say… Master of Laika and Félicette?"
The boy stopped pretending and looked up at us with fearful, questioning eyes, glancing back and forth us as if he couldn't decide whom to focus on.
Just as I was about to speak, Abigail's childish voice cut in."Tell us where your base is, human." She looked at him with her sky-blue eyes, tilted her head to the side in an adorable way, and added,"Or you'll wish the key had killed you."
The butterflies that had lingered behind gathered around Abby, who now stood just one meter away from the boy.One of them flew up to her right hand, which was now positioned at stomach height, and reverted into energy form. That energy then funneled through her fingertips into a thin, small "laser" beam, one that barely missed the teenager's head.
Or at least, that's what he thought at first.Seconds later, he started screaming as blood gushed from his ear… or what was left of it.
Abigail saw this and had a faint, happy smile on her lips.
Note: Do not mess with Abby!
Under the pressure of having his life on the line, the boy immediately started talking, revealing the location without hesitation.
Fortunately, Abigail had mostly neutralized Laika and Félicette. With the Noble Phantasm's strain and their severely injured Master, they didn't even have enough energy to fly properly. They didn't even attempt to resist, doing so would have meant their Master's immediate death.
Now that we knew the location, I turned away, wanting nothing more to do with the teenager. The story of Félicette and Laika affected me too much to witness what was about to happen next.In the end, this was still a game of life and death.
I spoke to Abby through a telepathic connection, and without me saying a word, she gave me an uncharacteristically serious response:"Of course, Master."
Abigail now used a portion of her true power. She flicked her fingers again , and the energy within the butterflies around her surged unnaturally. Before Laika and Félicette could even react, three beams shot toward them—two of them painlessly piercing through their bodies, rendering them completely immobile.
The third beam, however, was neither painless nor "kind."The boy's chest was pierced, blood spilling from the wound.
[A Blue Foreigner has defeated a Green Rider.]
Félicette and Laika looked up—at Abby, and at my back, at least I had this feeling as if they did exactly that?Moments later, they both vanished into a shimmering burst of colorful particles, ascending once more toward the stars.Back to the Throne of Heroes.
Shortly after, I took a deep breath and started walking back in the direction we came from, or at least the one I thought was correct.I may not have Zoro's bad sense of direction, but I arrived here through a portal, so I have at least one good point...
Just after I left, Abby made a grasping motion with her hand toward the severely injured teenager, pulling an object toward herself, an important item that had originally belonged to him.
After that, she quickly ran after me, opened a portal to the others once she caught up, and we disappeared. All while she held a rocket-shaped ring in her hand.

Abby's Workshop

The news of Rider's defeat was a welcome change from the despair of the past few days, and everyone was overjoyed.
I totally didn't let it inflate my ego or anything… Not at all!....
Anyway, shortly after, we announced the raid on Green's base.
With only one goal in mind.
To eliminate Ruler and Assassi, once and for all, because they are both to strong to be left alive!
