Overlord Belenus the Storm Hearld of change

Chapter 6: The Red Dawn Protocol

The ocean heaved like a wounded god beneath me.

My dorsal fins shimmered crimson beneath the surface, trailing light through the dark water like the bleeding veins of the world itself. I swam close behind Mom—her larger form cutting the current effortlessly, every ripple around her carved with tension.

Behind us, the scorched bones of New York settled into silence. Radiation lingered in the high clouds like a crown of ash. The MUTO nest was gone. The female's scream was gone. All that remained were shadows—and fear.

Mom hadn't said a word. But I knew. Every backward glance from her meant one thing:

> Something worse is coming.

I was tired—burned out from the Alpha Call and the fight. But even through the weariness, something churned inside me.

Not rage.

Not grief.

Something older.

POV Shift – SHIELD Helicarrier

Nick Fury stood motionless, only his one good eye moving as he studied the live satellite feeds.

Fury: "Update me."

Maria Hill (via comm): "Red Death and Amaterasu are heading west. Juvenile's radiation levels have plummeted—he's in recovery. Satellite imagery shows a return route toward the Pacific trench system. They're… retreating."

Fury: "Retreating? Or preparing?" (pause) "Activate Red Dawn Protocol. Global Kaiju Contingency is no longer hypothetical. It's now. Notify Wakanda, S.T.A.R. Labs, and get that Avengers satellite back online. And someone tell Stark to stop trying to nuke it from orbit."

Agent Isawa: "Sir… there's movement under the South Pacific. Something… big. Not Godzilla. But familiar."

Fury: "Hell just keeps handing out invitations."

---

POV Shift – Hall of Justice

Batman: "You saw it. The beam. The scream. That wasn't just power—it was declaration."

Superman: "He saved thousands. That Alpha Call was controlled. Deliberate."

Wonder Woman: "He fights with purpose… but whose?"

Cyborg: "Energy logs show cross-dimensional harmonics inside the blast pattern. Like he wasn't just sending a signal here…"

Batman: "...He was sending it across realities."

---

Narration – First Person (Belenus)

The pressure of the ocean eased as we dove into one of the deep cuts in the crust—an ancient tunnel. Light flickered from below. We passed through a hidden threshold: a forgotten cavern glowing with cold mana and defunct nuclear cores buried from a long-dead age.

I drifted down and let gravity take me.

> Sleep, I told myself. Just for a little.

And yet—my mind didn't rest.

---

Dream Sequence

There was fire. So much fire.

Worlds burning. Stars collapsing.

A scream tore through the cosmos—not MUTO. Not Titanus. Something else.

Wings of void. A crown of storms. Three mouths screaming in sync.

> Ghidorah. Gidrah. The Apex Anomaly.

And worse—shapes behind him. Dozens. Maybe hundreds. Still locked away. Still hungry.

One of them turned.

Its eyes… glowed like mine.

---

I Awoke

The water trembled.

Mother was already watching me, her luminous amber eyes filled with knowing.

Amaterasu: "You saw him."

I nodded. "He's not alone. He's… calling."

She exhaled, a sound that shook the trench walls.

Amaterasu: "It begins again. But not here. Not yet."

Above us, lightning arced across a growing tear in reality. A dimensional rift, jagged and sparking, bloomed in mid-water like a bleeding eye.

---

Arrival – Anguirus & Kaela

A booming snarl echoed through the cavern mouth.

> "You two always swim ahead of the fun."

I turned just in time to see Anguirus barrel into view, his shell like a moving mountain of obsidian and bone. Dust and coral drifted in his wake. On his flank, swimming with surprising grace, came Kaela—smaller, sleeker, her fins glimmering with aurora-borne streaks.

Kaela: "I felt your Alpha pulse halfway across the globe."

Anguirus: "The surface is panicking. Helicopters. Drones. That flying tin man tried to tail me. Again."

Amaterasu: "We are not their enemies. But soon, we may not be their saviors either."

Belenus: "They don't understand what's coming. They still think we're the problem."

Anguirus: "Let them. They'll learn."

Kaela gave me a curious look, her eyes flicking to the rift.

Kaela: "That's not a MUTO gate. That's something… older."

Belenus: "Multiversal. Like Ghidorah."

Anguirus: "Then we'll need more than just old fire and armor."

He glanced at me.

Anguirus: "Time to grow up, Red Death."

---

POV Shift – Wakanda Vault

Shuri: "That rift's signature matches the God Core energy recorded during the Titan War. If it grows unstable—planetary shielding won't be enough."

New Black Panther: "Should we engage?"

Shuri: "No. Not yet. But prepare the Vibranium Null Cannons. We may need to contain a kaiju… or defend Earth from them."

---

POV Shift – S.T.A.R. Labs

Flash: "Third kaiju spotted near the Mariana Trench. Not Belenus. Not Amaterasu. Not MUTO."

Caitlin Snow: "Any ID?"

Flash: "No, but it's moving… fast. Angrier than anything I've seen. Like it was born to kill."

---

Narration – First Person (Belenus)

The rift sparked overhead. Anguirus braced. Kaela growled low.

Mother stepped forward, raising her chin.

I stood beside her—taller now. Stronger. But still… afraid.

> Not for me. For them.

The world isn't ready for what's on the other side of that rift.

They think we're weapons.

But what's coming—

That's not a war they can win.

Not without us.

---

Final Scene – SHIELD Broadcast

Fury (voiceover): "If that rift expands, we're not just looking at another kaiju incident. We're looking at war across realities. All hands. All heroes. All gods. Red Dawn is live."

ON SCREEN:

Titan energy surges in the Atlantic.

Kaiju-class beings rising in Antarctica.

And somewhere… in the dark between worlds…

…a roar splits the stars.
