Overlord Belenus the Storm Hearld of change

Chapter 61: The Dragon Walks Among Students

Narration – First Person (Belenus)

The sun hung low over the horizon, filtered through mana-saturated skies and the shimmer of aerial defense wards. I walked forward—slow, deliberate, each step lighter than it should've been for someone who could cave mountains with a heartbeat.

> I'd shattered dimensions.

Burned gods.

Bent time.

But this...

Walking into a school—this legendary place of youth and idealism—felt almost sacred.

Deku trotted beside me, eyes bright like he couldn't believe this was happening. Goku hovered on the other side, arms behind his head, grinning like a tourist about to cause chaos.

> "Man," Goku said, "this place has changed since I was last in a high school."

> "You've been to a high school?" I asked dryly.

> "...For like ten minutes."

---

Scene – U.A. Main Gates

The gates of U.A. High were more than symbolic—they were fortified now. Layered with enchanted alloys, embedded mana-crystals, and even divine runes left by a visiting cleric of the Celestial Realms. Two Arcane Sentinels hovered on each side.

But they didn't stop us.

They bowed.

A massive red sigil bloomed in the air above me, visible only to high-level interface users:

> [Welcome, Sovereign-Class Entity: Codename Red Death]

[Dungeon Anchor Recognized. U.A. Alliance Privileges Granted.]

I said nothing.

I didn't come to talk politics.

---

Scene – Class 1-A Grounds

We arrived as a class wrapped up their physical training.

Bakugo was blasting his way through a series of moving dummies while Todoroki calmly froze and incinerated targets with precision. Ochaco floated a stack of boulders overhead. Iida sprinted past with sonic speed.

And then they saw me.

Silence.

You could hear the wind shift.

---

> "Midoriya?" Todoroki said, lowering his hand as steam hissed from his palm. "Is that… him?"

> "Y-Yeah." Deku stepped forward proudly. "Everyone… meet Belenus. The Red Death. The one I told you about during the Tokyo Cataclysm."

> "You said he cracked a MUTO's skull open and vaporized the harbor," Mina whispered. "That guy?"

> "He also gave me a push when I needed it most," Deku replied. "We fought together. And he's here because of what's coming."

> "Something bigger," Goku added, grinning as he hovered in the air and waved. "Belenus just dropped a dungeon core right outside the city. Tier 3. World-Origin Class. This school is about to become legendary."

---

Scene – The Teachers Respond

Aizawa landed in front of me with the stealth of a falling shadow. His capture scarf fluttered once before stilling.

> "You're the one who triggered multiple emergency pings in the International Dungeon Registry," he said, eyes narrowed. "Planted a raw dungeon core—natural, not system-generated—and sent up an Etherstorm visible from orbit."

> "Correct," I answered. "This world is stagnating. You've all grown… but not far enough. The Spiral Grove will test that."

A heavy step echoed as All Might approached from the gym. He looked older, smaller… but still radiated something unshakable.

> "Red Death."

"Symbol of Peace."

We nodded to one another.

> "Will this dungeon break them?" he asked.

> "Only if they're unworthy."

> "And if they pass?"

> "Then the world will know," I said, "that your era didn't die. It evolved."

---

Scene – U.A. Interface Broadcast

A notification flared across every classroom screen, every Hero Agency terminal:

> [New Public Dungeon Registered]

Name: Spiral Grove

Dungeon Class: Natural – World-Origin

Proximity: 1.3 km from U.A.

Threat Rank: Rising (Adaptive Ecosystem: Elemental / Memory-Based)

Minimum Entry Requirement: Hero Level 6 / Licensed Guild Rank C

Dungeon Anchor: Codename Red Death

---

Narration – First Person (Belenus)

Students surrounded me. Some stared in awe. Others looked like they wanted to test themselves against me.

Good.

They should.

> "I won't coddle you," I said. "I'm not your teacher. I'm not your god. I'm a spark—and sparks burn."

> "This dungeon isn't just training. It's prophecy. It grows with you. Learns you. Breaks you."

> "And maybe—just maybe—it'll evolve you."

---

Final Scene – Inside the Spiral Grove

Deep beneath twisted roots and blackened branches, the dungeon stirred. Mana condensed like mist across moss-covered stones.

The core pulsed.

A shadow in the dungeon blinked into being—not a monster, but a memory.

It looked like a teenage Deku.

Behind it, more shadows formed.

Reflections. Doubts. Rage. Failure.

The dungeon was alive.

And it was watching.
