Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Magic Crystal

"Asshole!"

Because one side of his face was swollen, Joseph couldn't even pronounce his words clearly.

"What are you all doing? Huh? Didn't you see him rushing towards you!?" Joseph angrily scolded the guards.

"A bunch of rubbish!!"

"You should be the most useless one." Looking at Joseph jumping up and down like a monkey, Jimmy couldn't help but find it a little funny.

After hearing what Jimmy said, Joseph looked over, anger burning in his eyes.

"What are you still daydreaming about! You bunch of good-for-nothings, hurry up and get to me!" Joseph yelled in frustration.

"Kill him for me!"

Hearing Joseph's insulting words, a hint of humiliation flashed in the eyes of several guards at the same time.

But orders are orders, and since they are under the command of the nobles, they are equivalent to the latter's dogs.

They have to bite wherever their master points, even if the enemy is a lion.

Since they each serve their own master, Jimmy certainly would not show mercy.

…

A moment later, four more bodies were found on the ground.

The loyal guard died for him, but there was no trace of grief on Joseph's face. Instead, he spat and cursed.

"Bah! They are really a bunch of trash!"

But before he finished cursing, he realized that he was now alone.

"Damn it! Why hasn't it come yet? I've been blowing the whistle for so long!"

Joseph looked around, as if he was looking for something.

"Are you waiting for someone from the Empire?"

Jimmy chuckled, holding the sword that was still dripping with blood, and walked towards Joseph step by step.

When Joseph heard his words, his face turned pale.

"Huh? No... how did you know?" Joseph asked stutteringly as he backed away.

Impossible, there's no way he would know!

It must be a blind guess!

Joseph, the second son, only learned about his father's collusion with the empire a while ago.

And the most important thing is that it has not been more than a year since this matter started!

No matter how deeply we investigate, we will not find any clues.

But what Jimmy said next ruthlessly shattered his hope.

"Didn't your father, Marquis Boullope, collude with the Empire and sell out the Kingdom's intelligence?"

Every word that Jimmy said bombarded Joseph's heart.

"So, who are you waiting for, besides the people from the Empire?!"

"Who… who are you?!"

At this point, Joseph no longer dared to think of Jimmy as just a commoner with only brute force.

Even from this conversation, he guessed a terrible fact.

Jimmy is actually a fishhook set out by the royal family.

The hook is straight, and the bait is ready, just waiting for this stupid fish to bite.

"Me?" Jimmy pointed at his nose and said lightly.

"Isn't that the untouchable you mentioned?"

"Stop lying!" Joseph shouted at the top of his lungs and tremblingly took out a crystal from his arms.

"Go to hell, you bastard!"

With a crazy roar, Joseph threw the crystal in his hand towards Jimmy.

"Is this... the Demon-Sealing Crystal!?" Jimmy's expression changed.

Damn! This guy has a lot of good stuff.

The crystal flew in front of Jimmy and suddenly exploded as if it had sensed something.

Boom!!

The exploding flames that shot up into the sky and the intense heat that hit his face stunned Joseph.

He himself didn't expect that the thing his father gave him for self-defense would be so powerful.

I remember that they said that there was a third-level magic sealed inside - something like a fireball.

Joseph couldn't remember exactly what it was called.

After all, he himself had no interest in magic casters, so naturally he didn't try to understand them.

But now it seems that this so-called third-level magic saved his life.

"Haha…hahahaha!"

The fire continued to burn fiercely, and Joseph couldn't help but laugh out loud.

He didn't think Jimmy could escape from a fire of this magnitude.

At this moment, the sound of horse hooves hitting the ground was heard not far away.

Joseph looked back and saw the imperial army that had arrived late.

"Why did you come just now!?"

Looking back at the still burning fire, Joseph said with dissatisfaction and lingering fear.

"I almost died!"

"I'm really sorry, Master Joseph, we encountered a group of undead monsters on the road..." explained the leading imperial knight.

Although his tone was very polite, a closer look at his eyes revealed disdain towards Joseph.

This is not surprising, for such a despicable person would betray his motherland.

If it wasn't for the purpose of defeating the kingdom, there was no way they would cooperate with it.

"Okay, stop talking!" Joseph interrupted him rudely, pointing at the fire behind him with a smug look on his face.

"I've killed that guy!"

Hearing his words, all the imperial knights looked strange.

Before they came, they were told that they would be fighting an enemy that could rival Gazef.

To this end, they dispatched the 200 top elite knights in the Imperial Army this time!

I finally got here, but the enemy I was going to fight is dead?

Ignoring the knight's suspicion, Joseph was sighing at this moment, his face full of heartache.

"If I had known that crystal was so powerful, I would have held on a little longer and waited for you guys to arrive."

"Although that untouchable is dead, I still feel like I lost out!"
