People are writing diaries in Douluo, Bibi Dong is crazy about it

Chapter 172: Chapter 172

**Chapter 172: Shut Up**

"Well, that's good. That's good," Poseidon murmured, breathing a sigh of relief.

She felt fortunate that nothing had happened on Poseidon Island during her absence, and, more importantly, that Lord Poseidon had not descended.

If Lord Poseidon knew she left Poseidon Island without permission to visit the Douluo Continent, his wrath would be unimaginable, she thought uneasily.

After all, Lord Poseidon likely had no knowledge of the Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary, nor that she had mistaken it for a divine oracle. Even if she tried to explain, the mysterious "system" would prevent her from revealing anything about the diary or its contents.

Now that she was back on Poseidon Island before Lord Poseidon arrived, she tried to reassure herself. Perhaps she have nothing to worry about.

But doubt lingered in her mind. Lord Poseidon is omniscient and omnipotent—what if he already knows?

These thoughts weighed heavily on her, but she resolved to face whatever consequences came her way.

On the Shore

While Poseidon battled her inner turmoil, Zhao Ling stepped off the Cloud Piercing Shuttle and stored it in his spatial storage. His gaze fell on the seven individuals who had come to greet them.

Their appearances intrigued him; their features were distinct from those of mainlanders. Even the lone woman among them, though undeniably beautiful, regarded him with an expression he found oddly unsettling.

These must be the Seven Sacred Pillars, Zhao Ling thought, recalling the original story. They're all Titled Douluo now, but in a few decades, their progress stagnates. How disappointing.

He shook his head, remembering their fate in the original novel. By the time of the Spirit Hall's invasion, their strength had barely improved. The strongest among them reached only level 95, while the weakest, Sea Girl Douluo, barely achieved level 91 or 92.

How could they let themselves decline so much? Zhao Ling mused. Even if they grew complacent after Spirit Hall's failed invasion, they shouldn't have become so demotivated. Don't they feel ashamed of their lack of progress?

The thought made him resolve to speak to Bo Saixi about motivating them. If someone like Tang Hao or Tang Xiao comes here in the future, these pillars should at least be able to hold their ground.

His musings were interrupted when Poseidon, standing nearby, let out a deep sigh. She decided to stop worrying about Lord Poseidon's potential wrath, choosing instead to focus on her husband.

Seeing Zhao Ling's peculiar smile, she couldn't help but giggle.

"Hubby, since you're on Poseidon Island, why don't we take a stroll together?"

Zhao Ling smiled warmly and immediately joined her.

Poseidon took his hand, and together they ascended into the air, flying toward the island's center.

Among the Seven Sacred Pillars

The Sacred Pillars watched the high priest and her companion with a mix of confusion and disbelief.

Sea Spear Douluo frowned. "What's going on? Did the high priest just call that man her husband?"

Sea Star Douluo turned to him, equally puzzled. "You heard it too? I thought I misheard. But if that's the case, does this mean they're… married?"

"I'm afraid so," Sea Ghost Douluo replied, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "Even if they aren't officially married, they're clearly a couple."

Seahorse Douluo looked dazed. "This doesn't make sense. I thought the high priest had feelings for Tang Chen. How could she fall for someone else after visiting the mainland? It's outrageous!"

Sea King Douluo, staring after the couple, offered a different theory. "Do you think it's possible that Lord Poseidon sent the high priest to the mainland specifically to meet this man?"

"That's absurd," Sea Spear Douluo interjected, shaking his head. "What's so special about him? Sure, he's handsome, but that can't be enough."

Sea Girl Douluo, meanwhile, hadn't taken her eyes off Zhao Ling until he disappeared into the distance. She finally spoke up, her voice tinged with admiration.

"Nonsense! The high priest's husband is not just handsome—he's captivating. I couldn't take my eyes off him. He's leagues above Tang Chen. That man looks like a hammer-swinging blacksmith. How could someone like that deserve the high priest?"

Her words struck a nerve with Sea Spear Douluo. "Being handsome isn't everything! Tang Chen was a level 99 Douluo—practically equal to the high priest. How is he not worthy?"

The two began arguing heatedly.

Sea Dragon Douluo's Intervention

Sea Dragon Douluo, annoyed by their bickering, finally shouted, "Enough! Is it our place to speculate about the high priest's personal affairs? Shut up!"

His stern words silenced them instantly. Though Sea Spear Douluo and Sea Girl Douluo exchanged angry glances, neither dared to continue the argument.

Sea Dragon Douluo himself was curious about the situation. Why did the high priest suddenly fall for this man? he wondered. She's not the type to change her heart so easily.

Still, he reminded himself of their role. As the Seven Sacred Pillars, their duty was to assist the high priest in protecting Poseidon Island—not to meddle in her private life.
