People are writing diaries in Douluo, Bibi Dong is crazy about it

Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Chapter 5: She, Bibi Dong, Is Not Blind

"Dong'er… since you've made another breakthrough, how about I assign you a task?"

Sitting on the Pope's throne, Qianxunji regarded Bibi Dong with a gentle expression, his tone carefully probing.

"A task? What task?" Bibi Dong asked eagerly, her curious, innocent eyes fixed on her teacher.

Seeing her interest, Qianxunji slowly revealed his decision.

"In two days, you and Elder Ju will lead the new elites of the Spirit Academy to Soto City. I hope you achieve great results in the Great Fighting Soul Arena."

Bibi Dong had heard of the Great Fighting Soul Arena in Soto City before, and her beautiful eyes sparkled with fighting spirit.

"The Great Fighting Soul Arena? Alright, teacher, don't worry! I'll win every match and lead the team to return as champions!"

Listening to her confident response, Qianxunji smiled with satisfaction. Dong'er truly was his proudest disciple.

---

More than ten minutes later, as Bibi Dong stepped out of the Pope's Palace, her brows furrowed. Floating in front of her, just under a meter away, was a strange object labeled "Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary."

Initially, inside the palace, she had dismissed it as an illusion caused by overtraining. But now, as the "Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary" remained firmly in her field of vision—no matter whether she moved forward, backward, or even turned around—her mood soured.

Her gaze hardened, radiating displeasure, which caused the four guards stationed at the palace doors to feel uneasy.

Why had His Majesty the Pope's most beloved disciple suddenly become upset? Her expression was so fierce it made them feel as if they were walking on thin ice.

If they were somehow responsible for her anger, the consequences would undoubtedly be severe.

However, Bibi Dong, quick-witted as ever, soon realized that neither her teacher nor the guards seemed capable of seeing the "Copy of Zhao Ling's Diary."

The realization stunned her.

Who was this Zhao Ling? How could he bypass Spirit Hall's layers of security and deliver this diary directly to her—so silently and invisibly that even her teacher, the Pope, couldn't detect it?

Even the old monsters in the Worship Hall likely wouldn't have such a capability.

Her curiosity deepened, compelling her to examine the "Copy of Diary" to uncover its secrets.

As if responding to her thoughts, the diary opened itself, revealing pages densely filled with writing. Suddenly, a strange man's distressed voice echoed in her ears.

Startled, she instinctively glanced around, her vigilance sharpening.

Was someone playing tricks on her?

She turned her attention to the four guards, whose expressions grew even more terrified under her scrutiny. They quickly averted their eyes, staring at their feet as if afraid of offending her further.

Judging by their demeanor, they clearly didn't have the courage—or ability—to pull such a stunt.

Withdrawing her gaze, Bibi Dong refocused on the diary, walking forward calmly while reading its contents and listening to the strange voice in her ears.

---

At first glance, the diary shocked her.

It wasn't because the author claimed she was more popular and beautiful than someone named Ah Yin in an anime—she was already confident in her looks.

During her time at Spirit Advanced Soul Master Academy, she had been universally recognized as the most beautiful girl on campus, admired by countless boys. Such evaluations were hardly surprising.

No, what truly horrified her was the diary's mention of the task her teacher had just assigned: to lead the team to Soto City.

She hadn't even departed yet, yet this Zhao Ling somehow knew she would go to Soto City—and even planned to seduce her there.

Could the diary predict the future?

As she read further, her emotions grew conflicted.

The diary foretold a bright future where she would become the Saintess of Spirit Hall, then ascend to Pope and reach Titled Douluo rank by her early thirties. These revelations filled her with joy.

But then came the darker predictions: she would fall in love with a man named Yu Xiaogang—a man described as a waste, someone whose soul power could barely break level 30 despite his theoretical expertise.

For this man, she would betray her teacher, endure unbearable pain, and experience the darkest moments of her life.

And during her lowest point, this same Yu Xiaogang would abandon her for his cousin.

*Beast!* No—worse than a beast!

Bibi Dong trembled with rage. She was still a pure-hearted girl, yet for the first time in her life, she felt an overwhelming urge to tear someone apart and skin them alive.

To think she would defy her beloved teacher, risking everything for someone like that! Only for him to betray her in such a way?

Impossible.

---

Gradually, however, she began to question the diary's authenticity.

It wasn't as though men didn't admire her. During her academy years, countless talented seniors and juniors had pursued her.

If she wished, suitors from all over Spirit City could line up from east to west—perhaps even circling the city three times.

Why on earth would she fall for someone so useless? Had she gone mad? Been kicked by a donkey? Had her head gotten stuck in a door?

No. Absolutely not. This was blatant slander. She, Bibi Dong, was not blind.

And yet…

The diary's ability to predict that she would soon travel to Soto City unsettled her. If its other predictions were equally accurate, then…

Her expression darkened further as a troubling thought struck her: the man's surname, Yu. Could he be from the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex family, one of the three great clans?

Her eyes grew colder. She couldn't sit idly by.

---

Summoning a group of her most trusted subordinates, she issued a quiet but firm order: investigate whether a man named Yu Xiaogang existed within the Blue Lightning Tyrannosaurus Rex family.

Though puzzled by the sudden request, her subordinates knew better than to ask questions. They accepted her orders and promptly set to work.

Watching them leave, Bibi Dong's face remained grim.

If this Yu Xiaogang didn't exist, so much the better. But if he did, he would pay dearly—whether the events of the diary had yet come to pass or not.

Betrayal and deceit were things she could never tolerate. And if anyone dared to toy with her feelings, they would pay a heavy price.
