Percy Jackson: Son of Hades - Prince of the Underworld

[Third Person's PoV] 

"Follow after me…" Lucian advised, he had a wooden bow and arrow his posture was straight, holding his bow close to his face. "Remember to take a deep breath and hold it" 

Bianca looked over to Lucian and replicated his movements, she looked at the positioning of his feet, his arm, and how he held the arrow against the bow string. She took a deep breath, held it and narrowed her eyes at the bullseye in front of her. 

"Once you are confident, release" Lucian continued to advise as he let go of his arrow and watched it sail until it hit the mark. 

Bianca let go immediately and the air swam through the air and hit the bullseye in one. She smirked. 

"Now release your breath…" He said breathing out through his mouth, which she followed. 

Seeing the bullseye Lucian smiled and held out his hand to the side, "Nice~" 

Bianca continued to smile proudly and high fived him. 

"Now quiz time, Do you know why you took a deep breath?" Lucian asked. 

"Huh?" Bianca asked in confusion. 

"It's one thing to follow through with your actions and replicate what I do, it's another thing to understand what you are doing and why you are doing it. You can replicate me all you want but if you don't understand what you are doing it's pointless. Did you understand why you took a deep breath and didn't exhale until you released your arrow?" Lucian patiently explained. 

Bianca put a finger by her lips and thought about it, "To concentrate? To narrow my focus?"

"Yes and no" Lucian said, "Yes it helps you concentrate but that isn't the reason, when you take a deep breath your chest rises and you stand up straight, you take deep breath to form a correct posture for the optimal shooting position, also while you inhale some of your muscles contracts which makes your muscles stronger making you able to pull back more on your bow" 

Bianca blinked in surprise, took a deep breath and noticed how her body does stand up straight, "Woah, you're right!" 

"That's also why when you exhale your body feels relaxed, your muscles stop contracting, letting them rest" Lucian continued, "This is also why breathing exercises are important…" Lucian went on. 

When Lucian was done Bianca looked at Lucian in a new light, "I should be taking notes…" She muttered before looking at Lucian weirdly, "You're surprisingly good at this" 

Lucian shrugged, "I've always been a natural with a bow and arrow, however they aren't the weapon I prefer to use, I mean I even got lessons from Lady Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and managed to impress her…Or at least I think so?" 

"Are you finished bragging or can we continue?" Bianca asked in amusement. 

"Hmm… I don't know… I kinda want to brag some more" Lucian said pensively. Seeing her incredulous look Lucian chuckled, "I'm messing with you, let's continue" 

Later into the Night…

Bianca and Nico were both face-first into a couch, both of them growing in pain. 

"I can't feel my arms!" Bianca groaned painfully. 

"I can't feel my body! I feel like I was whacked all over… Oh wait a minute, I was!!" Nico said, picking his head up and glaring at Lucian. 

"Here you big babies" Lucian scoffed, handing them both two potions a red one and a green one, "Drink the green one first" 

"What's this?" They asked as they shakily reached for the potion.

"It's something my mother used to make for me when I was little, it's supposed to help increase the result of your training, mostly muscle growth, the red one is just a healing potion it's suppose to take away the sourness"

"You couldn't have given us this earlier?! You literally watched as we struggled to eat! We were barely able to lift our forks!" Bianca exclaimed with a bit of tears in her eyes. 

Lucian placed a hand on his chest, "As your older brother, it is my job to watch and enjoy your suffering. I am merely performing my brotherly duties" 

"YOU SUCK!!" They shouted and rolled over with effort. 

Nico and Bianca opened the green one first as instructed, looked at it warily and drank it. 

As they finished, they flinched, Nico made an extremely disgusted expression and held his throat, "IT'S POISON! YOU'RE FEEDING US POISON! UGHHHH! THAT'S DISGUSTING!" He cried out with his tongue sticking out. 

Lucian just chuckled and smiled warmly, they looked at Lucian as if he was the devil looking at how fondly he was looking at them, that was before they explain, "Like I said, my mother use to feed me this, they were so disgusting, I really thought she took pleasure in torturing me when she feed me that… That… Concoction" 

"If you know they're disgusting, why would you feed them to us?" Bianca said with a green face. 

"Must keep the family tradition alive" Lucian said, giving them a thumbs up.

"You monster" They muttered before picking up the red one apprehensively, if it wasn't for their aching muscles they wouldn't have even bothered picking it up. 

They opened it up, took a few deep breaths, pinched their noises and downed the entire bottle. 

They instinctively recoiled expecting the disgusting taste once again, however they smacked their lips. 

"Hmm… Watermelon" Nico said

"Is that Mango?" Bianca questioned. 

"I hated how my mother made potions so I made a promise that all of my creations would taste good," Lucian said proudly. 

"Then broke your promise" Nico scoffed looking at the empty green vial. 

Lucian rolled his eyes, "That was something my mother created, that wasn't something I created, I make mine to taste like what the consumer likes most–" 

Boom!

All their heads snapped towards the door, Thalia was seen by the door with an irritated expression, foot raised, looking clearly disheveled, Annabeth was leaning by the doorside clutching her stomach and dying of laughter. 

Thalia looked at Annabeth in irritation, sent a tiny zap from her finger, Annabeth twitched madly and stood up straight letting out a small sniff making her small nose wrinkle slightly, "It wasn't that funny" She said with a straight expression, although her lips were twitching to suppress herself. 

"I'm done with this shit, let's just get this over with so I can go to bed and sleep" Thalia said with a snarling expression. 

"What took you so long? I know you wanted to get the ingredients yourself but did you have to take all day–" Lucian began with a raised eyebrow but with a look from Thalia he thought it was best not to ask. 

Lucian did the old man motion of standing up, he pushed himself forwards slapping his thighs and standing up, "Alright guys, you two can go off to bed I know you're tired" 

Bianca and Nico looked towards each other, before looking at Lucian with a weird look. Nico then remembered how Lucian said he didn't have to be scared to ask him anything and said, "You know, if you're going to your secret basement and don't want us to come you can just say so, there's no need to send us to bed" Nico scoffed. 

Lucian ears gained a faint red color at how he was discovered. 

Nico then looked amused, "However now I'm dying to know, what do you have down there? Can we come and see what you're doing?" 

Both Nico and Bianca looked at Lucian expectantly, Lucian had to look away and wince, as he never had siblings before and how that he had them he felt like spoiling them alot and complying to their wishes, however he knew better, he looked at Annabeth and Thalia for help. 

"This is mainly your secret, if you want to share it go for it" Annabeth said supportedly. 

Thalia shrugged, "Couldn't care less really, if you find that they're trustworthy sure, but are you sure right now is the right time? You know what I'm about to go through right?"

 "Ah good point…" Lucian muttered before turning to Nico and Bianca, Lucian opened his mouth to tell them another time. 

However Nico saw this acted quickly, he looked towards Lucian with puppy dog eyes and pouty lips. 

Lucian froze as he stared at Nico, he saw two small flat dog ears appeared on either side of his head with a small black dog nose on him just looking at him. 

"Please," He muttered. 

Lucian clutched his chest and walked over to him, he pressed Nico's head to chest and cried out towards Thalia and Annabeth, "I CAN'T SAY NO TO HIM! LOOK AT HIM! HE'S JUST TOO PRECIOUS!" 

Lucian was now holding Nico by his armpits presenting towards Annabeth and Thalia, "LOOK AT HIM!" He repeated, shaking him slightly. 

Nico made a peace sign and stuck his tongue out triumphantly, 

"How can I possibly say no to this!" Lucian shouted aggrieved.

Bianca leaned forwards and massaged her forwards, Annabeth looked amused, While Thalia let out a heavy sigh, "He's a lost cause"
