Peter WHY...

Chapter 4: Chapter 4

Peter woke up around 7 AM and did his morning routines. After brushing his teeth and getting dressed, he went down to the kitchen and had breakfast. Aunt May had prepared a delicious spread, and Peter felt a pang of guilt remembering the previous day's argument.

"Good morning, Aunt May," Peter said, trying to sound cheerful.

"Good morning, Peter. Did you sleep well?" Aunt May asked with a warm smile.

"Yeah, I did. Thanks for breakfast," Peter replied, quickly finishing his meal. He then packed his bag and headed out the door, walking towards school.

As he arrived at school and before classes started, Peter was taking some items from his locker. That's when he heard Flash calling out to him.

"Hey, Puny Parker!" Flash taunted, his voice echoing through the hallway.

Peter took a deep breath, deciding not to let Flash get under his skin. "Hey, Flash," he said, turning around. "You know, for someone who spends so much time bullying others, you sure have a hard time with your studies."

Flash's face turned red with anger. "What did you say, Parker?"

"You heard me," Peter retorted calmly. "Maybe if you spent more time hitting the books instead of using your fists to prove every single point, you'd actually pass a test."

Flash's eyes narrowed, and he stepped closer to Peter, trying to intimidate him. "You're gonna regret that, Parker."

As Flash tried to trip Peter, Peter's enhanced reflexes kicked in, and he easily dodged the attempt. Flash, now even more infuriated, tried to provoke Peter further, but Peter just ignored him and walked towards his class.

Why does he always have to be such a jerk? Peter thought. I could easily put him in his place with my new abilities, but that's not who I want to do, so many witnesses here. Don't worry Flash I remember you.

Peter knew he had the power to get back at Flash, but he also knew that using his abilities infront of everybody isn't a good idea. He had time to act he just need to wait for a while or just do it anyway.

As he sat in class, Peter's mind wandered. I need to find a way to make the most of these powers. Uncle Ben always said, "With great power comes great responsibility." It's a great line, I guess it's time to figure out what that really means.

Peter was walking through the hallway when he noticed Harry Osborn waving at him. He walked over to him, and Harry greeted him with a curious look.

"Hey, Peter! Where were you yesterday? You didn't attend any classes," Harry asked.

Peter shrugged, trying to play it cool. "I wasn't feeling well. Just needed a day to rest."

"Gotcha. Glad you're feeling better," Harry said with a nod. "Let's get to class."

Both of them headed to their class together. The morning session was uneventful, with Peter trying to focus on his studies while keeping an eye on Flash.

During the lunch break at the cafeteria, Peter was sitting alone when Harry came over and sat next to him.

"Mind if I join you?" Harry asked, holding his tray.

"Not at all," Peter replied, grateful for the company.

They chatted about school, the latest assignments, and upcoming exams. Harry then brought up his father, Norman Osborn.

"My dad's been pretty busy with work lately. He's got some big project going on at Oscorp," Harry said.

"Sounds intense," Peter commented, trying to sound interested.

Maybe it's around now that he becomes the green goblin, I wonder if he will just be crazy or will he actually turned into a green monster like the animated series, Peter thought to himself.

"Yeah, it is. Sometimes I barely see him," Harry added, a hint of sadness in his voice.

Peter nodded, understanding the feeling of having distant parental figures. "Well, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here."

"Thanks, Peter. I appreciate that," Harry said with a small smile.

After classes finished, Peter left school and headed home. On the way, he decided to look for any signs of robbery, hoping to put his new abilities to good use. He climbed a building and surveyed the alleyways below. Without disappointing him, he saw a man with a knife threatening a woman.

Perfect opportunity, Peter thought, putting on a mask and sunglasses to conceal his identity. He wasted no time and climbed down the building, sneaking up behind the man. He signaled the woman to keep quiet, but she didn't notice and shouted for help.

Well women always make others life difficult.... Peter thought to himself.

The robber looked towards Peter, and without wasting a second, Peter threw a punch at his face. The thug fell to the ground like a cartoon character, unconscious.

"Thank you for saving me!" the woman exclaimed, her voice trembling.

Peter didn't respond verbally. Instead, he pointed his hand towards the street, indicating that she should leave. The woman understood and quickly ran towards the crowded street, exiting the alley.

Peter checked the thug's body and found a gold chain and a knife. He took the gold chain and left the scene, making sure he didn't leave any evidence.

Might as well get something out of this. I always wanted a gold chain, hope it's real gold. Thinking that Peter pocketed the gold chain.

After a while, he reached home and greeted Aunt May and Uncle Ben. They talked for a while about school, and then he went to his room to do his homework.
