PIRATES: I WORK IN NAVY FROM NINE TO FIVE

Chapter 103: CHAPTER 103-“Justice Is Heavier Than Your Blade”

"Captain, are you alright?!"

As Luo Yu's figure finally disappeared over the horizon, the Handsome Pirate Crew swarmed toward Cavendish with a look of relieved terror—like survivors of a storm.

"Captain, I was up in the crow's nest just now. That Marine Admiral has already left the surrounding waters... Looks like he's headed for Uls Island."

"We should take this chance and get out of here, before he changes his mind!"

None of the crew objected.

Once upon a time, if the sky fell, they could count on Captain Cavendish—with his 230 million Berry bounty—to hold it up.

But now… even Cavendish had been swatted down.

Who was left to rely on?

Worse still, that new Marine Admiral—he hadn't even fought seriously, had he?

"No… I'm going to Uls Island," Cavendish growled, wiping the blood from his lips.

He forced himself upright, pushing down the raging pain within his chest.

Glaring in the direction Luo Yu had gone, he grit his teeth.

"He caught me off guard, that's all! I was careless—nothing more!"

"Don't forget… I still have my trump card."

"I'll challenge him again. I'll make him understand that Supernovas aren't so easily dismissed!"

"Besides… I want to see what happens when he faces that monster chosen by the World Government—Whitebeard's so-called son."

Everyone fell silent at Cavendish's defiant resolve.

Bitter expressions spread across the crew's faces.

But as they thought back on Luo Yu's mercy, the wreckage of G-93, and the overwhelming power of Edward Weevil, even they grew curious.

What would happen when that newly appointed Admiral met that uncontrollable beast?

Half an hour later...

Within the ruins of Uls Island, a shattered town lay in chaos.

Wounded villagers scrambled in all directions, panic written on their faces.

Many kept glancing back at the grotesque figure pursuing them—a hulking man with a barrel chest and abnormally thin legs, dragging a massive naginata as he snorted snot from his nose.

But in truth, they feared the frail old woman behind him even more.

"Mama, why haven't those guys shown up yet?" Weevil asked dumbly, hoisting his weapon with a thick, nasal voice.

"Kukuku… my sweet boy," Miss Bakkin cackled, voice raspy like scraping bark.

"Those Marines are fools. Just keep slaughtering everyone here, and they'll crawl out of hiding to play hero and die."

Her eyes gleamed with ambition as she planted her cane in the rubble.

"We need to make an impact, Weevil. Only then will your father, Whitebeard, acknowledge you."

"Once the world sees that his true son is far stronger than any of those so-called 'sons' of his, they'll understand who inherited his bloodline."

"Now go. Kill them all!"

"Okay, Mama!" Weevil sniffled, raised his enormous blade, and launched forward, the ground shattering beneath his feet.

He shot forward like a cannonball, charging toward the helpless civilians hundreds of meters away.

His blade gleamed with cold light, sweeping toward the crowd like a scythe of death.

The villagers could only stare in horror, their faces draining of color as the enormous weapon filled their vision—

"Weevil! You were looking for us, weren't you? We're here!"

"As Marines, we'll never let innocent people fall before us!"

"Rokushiki – Soru!"

A blur of motion—a figure appeared behind Weevil in an instant, a katana slicing down with a piercing roar.

"Mama, the bugs are back again! I'll swat them first!"

Weevil spun like a top, withdrawing his naginata mid-strike and transforming it into a sweeping arc.

BANG!

A heavy shockwave rang out.

Vice Admiral Momonga's expression twisted in shock as pain exploded in his wrist.

He was launched like a missile, slammed into the ruins, and buried beneath broken stone.

CRASH!

Blood sprayed from his mouth.

He looked toward Weevil, filled with frustration and disbelief.

He'd already fought this monster three times.

From the first clash—where he could barely hold his own—he'd deteriorated to being crushed in a single exchange.

He had considered retreating, abandoning Uls Island and requesting reinforcements from Marine HQ.

But each time he looked at the villagers being butchered, his sense of justice would not let him run.

"Hah! Another Vice Admiral, and still no match for my baby boy!"

Miss Bakkin limped over, leaning on her cane, her face lit with glee.

"Vice Admiral Momonga, didn't you spout all that justice nonsense just now?"

"Looks to me like you Marines aren't qualified to carry that word on your shoulders!"

"Don't worry. After we butcher you all, we'll let the rest of these worthless villagers die for your justice too."

"Weevil, my sweet baby—finish them!"

"Show them your blade weighs more than their justice!"

"Got it, Mama!" Weevil sniffled again.

Right and wrong meant nothing to him.The only question was: Did Mama say to do it?

From the rubble, the last few dozen Marines emerged, gripping their weapons with shaking hands.

Weevil's eyes narrowed as he charged once more.

Momonga shoved aside two subordinates, staggering to his feet and drawing his blade.

Even now—he refused to retreat.

But Weevil was already in front of him.

The naginata came crashing down—unstoppable.

In the reflection of his widening pupils, Momonga could see the strike. He knew.

He had nothing left to stop it.

His body was already too slow.

From the distance, Cavendish and his crew had just arrived—and their eyes widened in horror.

They'd assumed Luo Yu would have arrived before them, eager to save the day.

But they had somehow beaten him to it.

Watching a Vice Admiral being effortlessly overwhelmed by a pirate…

Was this something they were supposed to intervene in?

Cavendish clenched his jaw, his fingers tightening around Durandal.

"Damn it… guess I owe him one."

"But let's be clear—this monster is insane. I won't last more than a few strikes."

He muttered through gritted teeth.

But just as he prepared to move, a blur flashed across the battlefield.

A figure—faster than lightning—appeared between Momonga and the incoming blade.

"Sorry."

"But it seems… justice still outweighs your blade."

BOOM!
